What on earth has happened to our Wendys? There has been a lack of air conditioning and buckets under roof leaks in the dining room for over a year. No air conditioning in South Texas---come on!! Completely incompetent Tried to order wrap without the tortilla at the drive through and the attendant couldn't understand that. So we went inside and it took a few minutes to even be acknowledged. Every time I come to this Wendy's there's never a line yet somehow it takes 10 minutes to get my food. There's only one employee there who seems to actually know how customer service works, white lady with the eyepatch is rude. The service and management are horrid. I have been double charged (told to put in a complaint because they couldn't refund there), made to sit for 45 minutes for fries and 4 count nuggets when I put in a mobile order (again couldn't cancel or refund the order in store), and charged for frosties when the machine was broken (AGAIN told no refunds in store). This place is the nastiest Wendy's I ever ate at. The lady taking our order was rude af. Then told us to pull up when there was only one truck in front of us and we could only pull up a foot. There was no one behind us. So we inched up anyway. I was in the back seat and watched as the worker made the dude in front of us burger with NO GLOVES ON. Touching all over the food. We got the food and pulled next to the guy who just got his burger and told him that they made it with no gloves and were touching it. Bless ya'll's hearts. This location was not busy. In the drive thru I ordered a pumpkin spice frosty and waited and waited and waited and waited. Nothing. No acknowledgment. Or total. I didn't think a pumpkin spice frosty could be so taxing. Finally someone else asks for my order all breathless like they ran a marathon and clearly not listening to my one item order which they failed to say back correctly. I just left. I mean, if you can't get an one item order correctly after a lengthy time in the drive thru when you were not busy, I could not trust you guys to get it right and I left. This is the 2nd unsatisfying experience after ordering a burger long ago and deeply regretting it as it was horrible and old tasting. It went into the trash. Wendy's used to be good. Well it's Wendys so you know the food already. Problem with this location is quality. Sure I always get my order quickly but it looks like they gave it a beat down before putting it in the bag. Everything is flat and mushed and just not appealing. This happens on the cheap burgers as well as the more upscale burgers. They look nothing like you see in their advertisements. Keep in mind that I absolutely love wendys. But this location disappointed. I've been getting Wendy's chili since elementary school and this wasn't normal Wendy's chili. Is the recipe changing? Wendy's food is Wendy's food. This location is no different. What is different is that the owner refuses to fix the heating and air conditioning. The heat was out in the winter. Now the AC is out in the summer. The AC problem goes deeper though. There are many missing ceiling tiles exposing the AC duct work. Other tiles in place are covered in mold. The store stinks like mildew and mold. The manager was told, but she basically just apologized and said it was out of her hands. If the owner is not willing to fix the store, Wendy's should remove the franchisee. The lack of working AC combined with the smell of the mildew and mold makes for a disgusting visit. read more
