I stop at Wendy a lot only thing open on m way to work. I would say 50% of the time they will not get your order the will give you what they wart you to have. When you place your order you should get it no you don't and they will cuss you out about is when you call they will not pick up the phone and its due to the fact they don't know how to read or get a order right this is just bad business. They were "allegedly" understaffed; even though they were taking orders through the drive through. Informed him that I will go else where, He thanked me. Went through the drive through and the guy at the window was very nice and didn't give any attitude, the food was all warm and the fries were crispy as promised. My only complaints are that i payed for 10 nuggets but got 9 (not the biggest deal in the world) and they gave me 1 straw for the 2 drinks that i ordered, i luckily had an extra straw at home. read more

This place (Wendy's, Countryside) is totally screwed up. I walk up to the counter to order, nobody there. A couple people off on the side, waiting for their orders. I wait. And wait. And wait. People scurrying around in the back ignore me. At least 10 minutes pass. Exasperated, I holler to the back. Am I going to get service? A young girl responds, "if you would like to wait ..." Honey, I have already been waiting, for too long. She looks at the computer screen. She has NO idea how much longer - before someone would even take my order. I have had enough and leave. Drive one block south to Arby's. I am waited on immediately by a very polite young man, my order is ready a few minutes later. Temperature just right. And the food is better, the value was MUCH better than Wendy's. Further this Wendy's recently threw out all the old seating and installed those high chairs and high tables. I hate those. They apparently do not want anybody to get too comfortable. Arby's, OTOH, has recently remodeled very nicely with normal chairs and tables, plenty comfortable seating. So for me, it's never again, Wendy's! There are plenty of other alternatives along that stretch of LaGrange Road. read more

This is the Wendy's we go to typically, although, we don't get there too often - and that's too bad because Wendy's has improved everything from their fries, to the buns on their juicy, hot burgers, to their frosties -- thicker than I ever remembered as a kid. My order is always quick and hot and fresh. The window guys are always really friendly and professional. I think Wendy's is the best burger as far as fast food goes these days. I realize that all industries are struggling for talent; but, this was my go-to Wendy's anytime I was in the Countryside area, which is often. I had my last visit yesterday. Out holiday shopping with family; we used the drive-thru. Ordered burgers, guy taking my order was hard to hear at best but he repeated back my burger order, then I went on to order additional menu items. He repeated them back to me, despite being hard to hear. He gave me the total and told me to proceed. I get to the first window, it's open and you cannot see the person, there is no engagement at all, no words, no welcome, no repeat of the order, just an arm and open hand comes out, I place my cash in the open hand, it takes over 30 seconds for the change to come back out of the arm and open hand and no thank you, no instruction to wait or move on to the next window, so I move to the second window. The guy opens the window and asks me specifically if I ordered "insert my burger order" and I say yes. He closes the window and a few minutes later, it's a repeat performance. He opens the window and asks me if I ordered "insert my burger order" and I say yes asking him why is he asking me, is there a problem? He closes the window, disappears and more time passes. He then returns, opens the window, hands me my drink and says I wasn't charged for my burgers. I reply that is not my problem. He's doesn't know how to respond. I ask him to get the manager. She appears and, while professional, says that I wasn't charged for my burgers. Yet, no apology, no we made a mistake and here is now we'll make it right for you, e.g., charge me for 2 or 3 of them and give me one or two free... something to acknowledge the mistake and smooth things over. Now my other menu items have been sitting in a bag off to the side and I am irritated with this whole experience because I did not have a complicated order; but it started with the first window. I decide this is not the place that is getting my business. I give back the drink back and request my cash be returned. The manager promptly does so and I drive away. You have lost my business because it is clear that you do not care and the manager does not know good customer service to address problems. If I were the owner/franshisee, I'd be working that first window taking orders to make sure my reputation stayed intact, along with focusing on training and a talent overhaul as needed, despite the challenging times. This was my first time here. It was a fast food restaurant that sells burgers. I bought my sisters a burger that's why I came here. They have a limited number of employees since it's a small place and fast food. Even though there's a few staff here, the service was really quick. My order came really fast. When I went home, when I opened the burges it was messy since they had a lot of mayo and cheese on it. It's also a little bit oily. But when we taste it it's good but not the best. My sister likes it so I recommend this fast food. read more

After enduring several disappointing visits, it's time to perform a public service by describing my experiences. I've been coming here a few years due to their late hours and close proximity. Prior couple visits, I had the displeasure of dealing with a young cashier whose communicative English is....slight. She consistently would give me incorrect totals, and when I would correct her mainly to ensure I received the right amount of change, she would verbally assault me with a disgusting " 'hood " attitude.... I've brought the issue up to the usual late night manager (blonde humanoid, never was sure about the gender), but clearly she has yet to check that cashier....so tonight was no different. They ran out of what I ordered, and proceeded to treat my order as an inconvenience rather than the other way around.... There's plenty of other late night options which are healthier, better service, and far less risk of being short changed and disrespectful...but hey don't take my word for it...... I had read other reviews that mentioned that service was slow and they get your order wrong, but thought the drive through can't be that bad. It was! I don't know what it is with this location, but they phuck my order up each and every time I go here (only the drive through...or thru...or whatever the hell you want to call it! (see just thinking about this Wendy's pisses me off!)). Anyway if you want your order to be right don't go here. I think what irritates me the most is getting BBQ sauce here.
