There are two restaurants that our family frequents in Downtown La Grange and Milk Money Brewing is one of them! We have tried several items: 1) Fried taquitos 2) Roasted Brussel Sprouts and cauliflower* 3) Barbecue wings 4) MMB nachos 5) Crispy pig sandwich with fries* 6) Smoked brisket sandwich with fries* 7) Lobster sliders with fries* 8) Pizza with provolone, mozzarella, and pepperoni* 9) Chicken and waffles* The ones marked with an asterisks are some of the items that we would normally repeat. In fact, the pizza is almost always a must-order for our girls. Service is attentive and friendly. The environment is incredibly family-friendly. They have a section in the back that is divided from the rest of the dining room and it is equipped with children toys. We have yet to make use of the room but it looks like the kids were having a great time whenever we passed by.

The inside opens up to the outside, so you are immersed into downtown LaGrange. Cute spot! I liked the Nashville shrimp with polenta, although they went heavy on the polenta and shrimp could have more seasoning. Cheese curds were tasty. Pretty reasonable prices for food, I would try it again. Service was okay, but very nice server. I would give 3.5 stars overall.

Stopped in while in the area. On a Saturday afternoon the place was busy. They had a nice variety of beer, my husband had a Tres Amigos a Mexican lager, which he enjoyed. He also ordered the cheese curds. Service was not good. My husband ended up ordering at the bar, because our server was nowhere to be found. It took along time to get the cheese curds, but they were very good. Overall, service needs to be improved.

The ambiance was very nice- casual, clean and good energy. There food was also surprisingly delicious for a bar/brewery. My lobster sliders were really good- the lobster seemed fresh, the sauce wasn't heavy and the buns were steamed perfectly. The only issue was poor service. I think they are really short staffed, and need to hire more people during busy hours to help manage the volume.

Modern clean lines with a marble bar top. They offer food and even a brunch on Sunday.

Enjoyed this brewery. There were some children, but not too many, as some reviews suggest. I also disagree that it is overpriced. all restaurants are expensive now, but this restaurant is within an acceptable price range. The food was good. The wife had the MMB Burger, which she liked. The Cobb salad was also good, but heavy on the bacon, not necessarily a bad thing. The Oktoberfest beer was my favorite and she liked the On the Porch. We agreed that the LaGrange Lager needed more flavor. The service was good and I would go back.

Checked out this pretty hip looking brewery in LaGrange. It blasts the hipster alternative music so they're so cool, aren't they? Milk Money also happens to have beer, which seems like an afterthought in this brewery but whatever. Besides trying to make the hipster vibes, it makes a few beers and has food. Things are overpriced. A loud scene in here is what to expect. It's a pretty happening place. There's a bar along with many tables. Hip modern look. Lots of metallic and white. Also it seems to be family friendly. Lots of kids running and screaming. As for the beers, they're okay. It's about $8 a pint. That's kind of a lot, especially since many are from other breweries and not by them. Among the ones by them is the On The Porch. This is a wit bier, pretty smooth. Among the food are healthy options. It's about $12 for a salad. The Fennel Salad is good for vegetarians. Has fruit. This is arugula with apples, fennel, pecans, radish, and watermelon. Good but there wasn't much. This is more like a side item as far as portions. Great drinks and food here. It's just overpriced. There's also small portions so it's even more of a ripoff, but the salads are healthy and whatever.

My co-worker and I found this place exploring the area and I am so glad we did. Shout out to Bruce our bartender, who answered our questions and wasn't pushy about anything. For a place that you could tell had a lot of "regulars" he made us feel like we fit right in. The place is really cool and perfect for families too. They have a couple tvs on the bar and in a sitting area off the bar along with shuffleboard and mini arcade games. They opened in 2020 and not only are the beers refreshing and delicious but the food slaps. I always admire a brewery that can put out quality food. The Cuban Sandwich I would put on par with some I have had in Orlando and the Pistachio Tres Leche was...yup sorry to say it moist and delicious. The next time I am in the area, I will come back. If you are local or stopping through give these guys a visit!

Food was not good. Lobster rolls were bread with creamy sauce all over and maybe a few shavings of lobster. Street tacos flavorless.

The bar had everything come in waves so everything was fresh and hot and not just sitting in a hotel pan over some sterno. Food was delicious!! Split the pot, raffle prizes, great beer (maybe brew more than 3 beers that aren't IPAs? That's just one mans opinion) every seat in the house was taken, but it wasn't overcrowded at all somehow, props to the layout. Never had to wait for the bathroom or at the bar to get a drink, really solid operation. We sat in the bar area, but they have a really cool living room vibe kinda area in a room off of the bar area (fireplace, 60s/70s furniture) that I could definitely see coming back to for a date night or post-dinner drink. They always have a crowd and that's expected because there's not many other great places besides this. A lot of beers to choose from. There's a pretty great variety and they always rotate. Beers are the main thing of course. It's got a pretty surprising amount to choose from. There's a lot of these on tap. More in cans. Pretty great variety. A lot are IPAs but there's a few others. It's about $8 a pint. Kind of a lot but they make smaller batches of these. Best one we had of these was the Hazy In The Name Of. This is a New England Hazy IPA, a classic style. Made with citrone and nectaron hops. There's notes of citrus, lime, passionfruit, and peach. Has a few things to munch on. It's about $7 for the Knotty Pretzels. Comes in a big bag. These are a great combination and big enough for sharing. For sure there's lots of great beers. It's actually open daily which is especially rare for a brewery to be honest. They sometimes have food trucks.

ALES IN COMPARISON…read more The bar formerly known as Brixie's is still a solid place to enjoy a beer. I can't recall exactly how many times I'd given the previous tenant my business over the years, though it has to have been in the dozens. I loved their vibe which could be described as relaxed at best (and dingy at worst), and though the kitchen was no great shakes I appreciated specials on their burgers and pints. Fast forward to 2022, and this place is now exclusively a brewery under the name Imperial Oak. They've also got a location on Archer Ave that I've been to several times. Funny enough, both have 2+ pinball tables and tiny parking lots, however this location on Ogden Ave is much more accessible than the Imperial Oak in Willow Springs. Speaking of pins, their two machines (Simpsons Pinball Party & a retooled Medieval Madness) are $1/game and play beautifully. They've got shuffleboard and some events throughout the month like weekly bingo & trivia. They don't have a kitchen, but sometimes a foodtruck comes in and you can always B.Y.O.F. Bartenders are easygoing; if you aren't feeling an IPA or barrel stout they also have hard seltzers as well as a full bar. The crowd is predominantly locals and after-work peeps. If you can't find a space in their lot, try the angled spots at the Sherwin-Williams next door (just be discreet). * TL;DR * A couple brews, a couple score-based replays on pinball, life is A-OK. Back when this place was Brixie's, it was much quieter and business seemed slow, but I liked it. These days, it's usually bustling with activity whenever I stop by, and that's great news for Imperial Oak. Beer is reasonably priced (Buzz Lite is a delightful honeyweiss for $6/pint) and the taps are varied. I'm switching jobs in the next few weeks, so the odds of me coming through here again are slim but I'll always keep them in mind should I find myself in the Brookfield area. I'd recommend Imperial Oak, for sure.

I hope the music is nice in this place as then it would be my new local spot.

It's about $7 for a pint. That's not bad for a small craft brewery like this. Best one was the Baltic Porter. This had coffee and dark chocolate aromas, with fig and raisin notes, and it was quite strong. A heavy beer at 9.8% ABV. There's bar snacks like cashews at $4 a bag or like that. Come here if looking for a brewery that puts focus on beers and not games. If looking for a brewery where the main thing is beers, this is it. There's only a few snacks but you can bring food in or get it delivered or whatever.
