Here is my tiny veal Parmesan sandwich (apple for scale, no banana available) Ordered extra peppers, got a very scant amount, well I guess it's better the missing items from previous order. Now as much as Portillo's has disappointed me since they sold out, they still give a decent amount for the price plus add on's. And they don't over charge for a simple tamale like this place does. You can see by the dimensions of the veal in the sandwich that it only added "some" meat flavor., same for the sauce and cheese. I basically ordered a small flavored bread sandwich. I had a really great experience here. It's been about four years since I've been back to Little Joe's, and nothing has changed. It's still just as good as always. I'm back in town for work and, even though I'm in the area often, I just haven't made it back here. Now I wish I had come sooner. Instead of my usual beef sandwich, I went with a cheeseburger, and it was insanely good. The burgers are cooked over an open flame, the fries were perfectly done, and the folks working there were incredibly friendly. I'm already looking forward to coming back. Nice little place and if you are a local. If you're a regular, they make sure you feel welcomed. I tried the combo with hot Giardiniera. The beef wasn't greasy. It was good yet bland and tasted like it needed something to boost the flavor. Same with the sausage. It had nice char but was just lacking that flavor. Found a long black hair that spanned the ENTIRE length of my sandwich. repulsive and disgusting. they have no hygiene standards here. the woman who prepared my sandwich wasn't wearing any kind of hairnet or hat, so clearly this kind of thing probably happens all the time. i emailed them to let them know and they've blatantly ignored my complaint. this was months ago and they've had ample time to respond. i've been coming here religiously for years but never will again. i may have given little joes a second chance, but the fact that the management chose to ignore my complaint tells me everything i need to know. avoid this restaurant if cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene are important to you. read more

If I could leave this place no stars I would. The lady working the register was nice. The place seemed was cleaned. My issue was the food. We ordered a bbq bacon burger and double hamburger. First, both hamburgers patties tasted as though they don't clean the grill, and the meat was way over cooked. Secondly, the bacon burger did not look appetizing at all it was thrown together. There was literally one piece of bacon-thank goodness it was thick cut-.They dumped bbq sauce all over it. I'm not sure what kind of oil they used to fry the French fries but even those tastes bad. My go to place for Hot Dogs in the area. For the price and quality this hits the spot. I have tried the beef which is very good and the burgers are pretty good but I always seem to fall back on the Hot Dogs.
