This has to be the Slowest Wendy's I have ever been threw in my life . People getting tired and pulling out of line. They take an order then wait till the person pulls to the window give them there food then take another order , one at a time. We came here drive thru really quick. I saw the bad reviews but there was only one car in the drive thru but we figured it wouldn't be such a long wait. Well, we were wrong. If you want to go a restaurant drive-thru by yourself or children to only wait near 20 minutes for someone to take your order, and see several cars leave to either go to another competitor restaurant or have to get out of their car to go inside the restaurant to purchase your food to see no worker in drive-thru or a worker taking off their headset, then Wendy's in Darlington, SC is your spot. This is exactly what transpired today. Hungry customers either angry because they waiting in drive-thru or just take their chances to walk inside. So I came thru the drive thru today & I was very hungry the young lady that was working the drive thru seemed some type of slow or she must of just been very very high who's to tell she was a Caucasian young lady with a really long Blondish browning hair. Jayla or nadia was her name.After waiting and getting overwhelmed she finally called a manger over for help I was then over it so I was willing to pay the difference so I can hurry up and get my food witch was done at the next window already. Moral is she (the manger) seen I seemed unsatisfied or upset and admittedly she use her great hospitality and guest service skills to make sure I was satisfied. She even gave us a compliment. Order taker had to ask multiple times for the order to be repeated, even though she repeated the order back correctly. Receipt reflected correct order. However, the French Fries on the UPGRADED combo meal were omitted from the order. When discovered upon reaching home, the phone number was busy on each attempt to call (for over a half hour). We just waited at the order box until we finally moved around to the pick up window where we waited for another 5 minutes or so still without being asked for our order. Three cars moved up to the window behind us without being waited on. At the pick up window we then ordered a homestyle chicken sandwich meal and were told they were out of homestyle chicken. Stopped in the dining room for a quick lunch @ 1:30 pm, but order service was slow. Two available registers but only 1 in use. Several orders were confused during preparation which added more time. Remember, one chooses a fast food restaurant because they have limited time to dine. Providing good quality food quickly along with friendly service should be the goal. read more

I had a really bad experience at this store. I joined the birthday club on the Wendy's website and when my birthday rolled around Wendy's sent me an email for a dollar off a combo and i proceeded to go to Wendy's and use it and the cashier said that the manager said they could not use internet coupons. I proceeded to tell her that it came straight from the website. She still told me that i could not use it. What's the purpose of having a birthday club for coupons that you can't use ? I will be calling corporate. read more
