    Here's the beef baby....

I like the double all the way when it's fresh off the grill... But I question why there are three lefts and a right turn to get through the drive-thru? I guess the architect wasn't a rocket scientist but I will say the burger flipper may have been a professionally trained chef, my burger was pretty good, the fries not so much. I'm hoping the new normal includes the improved sanitation practices I've noticed at the drive-thru it looked like a doctor was handing me my order, but the real test will be when the dining area and restrooms open up a hundred percent. I recommend the burger and a large Dr. Pepper and maybe a frosty - this Covid-19 is cramping my style I want to eat inside the restaurant and not in my truck for once, it's amazing what we miss, but until then I'll keep asking for extra napkins from the lady behind the mask and letting them keep any change and paying it forward every chance I get...

An absolute cluster F. Dirty, poor service, poor food quality. Bathroom cleaner on food counter, check the photos! Really sad they just don't seem to care.

I've heard nothing but amazing things about BakeChop in DeLand (110 Artisan Aly, right in the heart…read moreof downtown), so I finally had to check it out--and wow, it lived up to every bit of the hype and then some! This scratch kitchen spot has quickly become one of my favorite places in town, and after our recent visit, my guests and I were all blown away. The food was absolutely amazing, impressing everyone at the table so much that we're already planning our next trip back--definitely going to be regulars from here on out. Everything is made from scratch with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and you can taste the care and love that goes into each dish. Their menu is creative and diverse--think insanely good hand-crafted sandwiches, burgers that are huge and perfectly executed (juicy patties on toasted buns, cooked exactly to order with complex, flavorful toppings), hearty salads, quiches, sloppy joes, and daily specials that keep things exciting. We tried a mix of items, and nothing disappointed; flavors were bold, portions generous, and every bite was packed with that homemade goodness. The homemade desserts and rocking sweets are worth saving room for too--they're the perfect finish to an already stellar meal. The vibe is cozy and welcoming--cute little spot with indoor/outdoor seating, great service that's attentive and friendly (staff makes you feel like family right away), and it's in such a charming part of Artisan Alley next to the brewery, perfect for a casual lunch, dinner, or just hanging out. They even offer delivery and catering if you want to bring that magic home or to an event. BakeChop is the real deal--a local gem putting heart into food, family, friends, and good times. If you're in DeLand and haven't been yet, stop waiting and go try it. You won't be disappointed; we'll be back often for sure! Highly recommend calling (386) 873-6524 or checking bakechop.com for the menu and hours. Keep up the incredible work, team! 1computeroutlet , 1websitenow

There was a market going on that we enjoyed exploring on our way over to the restaurant. It's not very big on the inside but does have tables inside and out. The inside is open allowing you views into the kitchen area. I ordered the Allicin Burger which is a beef burger with french onion reduction, crispy onion straws, swiss cheese, and garlic aioli. The meat was very juicy and flavorful. I enjoyed all the onions. It made for a solid meal. The old bay potato chips were a good pairing for the burger. My mom ordered a more traditional burger and she liked it. I noticed the bakery item display and it had a good selection. I deducted 1 star for customer service. While the food was very good, the service did not feel warm. Our server felt very cold and was short with us. She never once cracked a smile and it almost felt like we might have been bothering her by just being there. I wish we had a friendly server because it would have made the experience much more enjoyable.

This spot earns a solid 5 stars every time for its delicious food, killer burgers, strong drinks, and that unbeatable airport vibe. What really stands out is their seasoned grill--it's known for cranking out some of the most flavorful, perfectly cooked food around. Everything comes off that grill hot, juicy, and packed with taste, whether it's steaks on special nights, wings, sandwiches, or their legendary burgers. Speaking of which, their burgers are amazing--voted #1 best burger in town year after year by locals and visitors for good reason. Half-pound Angus patties charred just right, seasoned perfectly, juicy and never dry, with all the classic fixings or creative twists. I always go for the classic cheeseburger or one of their specials, and it's consistently one of the best I've had anywhere in Volusia County. No heat-lamp nonsense here--everything's made to order, fresh, and hits the spot every single time. The drinks are just as impressive. Full liquor bar with a great selection of cocktails, ice-cold beers, and whatever you're in the mood for--strong pours, creative mixes, and friendly bartenders who know how to make you feel right at home. Whether you're sipping on a cold one while watching planes take off or enjoying a cocktail during live music nights, the drinks keep the good times going. The atmosphere is pure fun: outdoor party deck perfect for watching skydivers during the day or bands in the evenings, indoor dining with TVs for sports, and that unique airport energy where you can plane-spot while you eat. It's casual, welcoming, family-friendly (kids menu available), and the service is always solid--servers are pleasant, quick, and make sure you're taken care of. If you're in DeLand and craving delicious grilled food, an epic burger, or a great drink with a view, head to Airport Restaurant & Gin Mill. It's more than just a restaurant--it's a local favorite with that special something extra. Highly recommend--you'll see why it's a staple around here! 1computeroutlet , 1websitenow

The place had cool vibes, albeit a bit dingy, as you're basically hugging the flight line while you dine. There were five of us for lunch. We ordered a Crispy Chicken Salad ($14.56), Tommy's Chicken Walnut Salad ($14.56), 2 Bonanza Burgers with fries ($18.72 + $3.12), and a Black Hawk Burger with fries ($18.72 + $3.12). Drinks were 2 iced teas and a Diet Coke ($3.12 each). My wife thought her chicken salad had a good flavor, moist and tender chicken. However, she thought the croissant wasn't light and flaky. My Black Hawk burger had good enough flavor BUT the bun was falling apart and wasn't even warmed up. In the end, I had to finish eating it with a fork and knife. Decent service and ambient but value was lacking. It's probably a "one and done" place for us. Lunch for 5 with tip came out to just over $130.

Rich, fresh, and hot - and they never let your cup get below half full. I swear the waitress had a sixth sense for it because my mug was topped off with a smile before I even realized it was getting low. You don't see that here in Miami. The portions are wonderfully generous without being ridiculous. My vegetable omelette was loaded with fluffy eggs & veges, crispy bacon, and perfectly golden hash browns - and the biscuit! Love me a good southern style biscuit! Everything tasted homemade like someone's grandma was back in the kitchen looking out for you. Best of all? The prices are incredibly reasonable, especially for the quality and quantity you get. I left feeling so FULL that my next meal was dinner.
