Although I am not a fan of fast food joints sometimes it's necessary. When it comes to fast food, Wendy's is my all time favorite. So it was on a recent marathon trip to SC. I was staying next store to Wendy's so walked over for a quick bite for lunch. It was about 1:30 pm on Sat so I wasn't expecting a large lunch crowd but there it was, a line of about 15 people. No problem, I had time to wait. And wait I did. For a very long time. It seemed one of the 2 guys working the counter was working in slow motion while the other was trying to hustle & get meals out. I have never been to a Wendy's this slow. Eventually I got my salad & was on my way. My mozz & chicken salad was good, however it came with some kind of mustard dressing on it. I always get their salads & they give you a packet of dressing on the side; I wondered why they would put dressing on it as well. Later in the day before hitting the road again we stopped for dinner. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich & my friend ordered a burger & fries. Again, the wait was excruciating! We waited half an hour for our order; not so fast fast food! My sandwich came out on a grain roll that tasted like it was a week old. The entire thing looked & tasted old. My friend's fries had also obviously sitting around for quite some time. He just dumped them. Had we not been on the road when we started eating we would have returned the food. It was that bad. I DO NOT recommend this particular Wendy's & I sincerely think corporate should check & see what the problem is there. I'm sure the only reason they are still in business is because of the theme park & hotel across the street. read more

Don't ever order from here the management is just poorly trained, not respectful to customers and cusses at you while youre standing at the counter. I've never been treated so poorly by a resturtannt then i did today. My order was placed online because I stood at the counter for 15mins prior. The manager makes a comment I'm going to get a wall so people can stop looking back here and staring. She was making my salad as she was saying this. I said you know I can hear you right she said OK and! I said can I please have my salad she said you'll get it whenever I feel like it and push my salad to the side and continued to make orders. My salad stayed sat to the side for an additional 20mins! she told her employees don't touch it she'll give it to me when shes ready. A district manager , regional, the president of Wendy's needs to contact me immediately. Because not only did she cuss at me but she played in my food that I paid for.! I don't think I've reviewed fast food before but I just had the best experience at this location so I feel obligated. If you're like me and you think Wendy's has the best fast food salads or best fast food burgers East of In-N-Out, then you should also know that this location in Fort Mill SC has great people working here, willing to always go above and beyond to make you happy. read more

If you're looking to purchase anything other than a frosty there's a McDonald's right down the road. Consistent bad food. 2 years ago I got poor food from this location and swore I'd never go back. Drive through woman can't focus claims she lost my order then finds it as she tries to take it again.... a few weeks ago I attempted to do the drive through and was told it was closed. I was pleased to read that Wendy's had surpassed Burger King and takes the number two spot in the fast food standings. I think Dave Thomas has better burgers and much better not-burgers, including the salads and baked potatoes and the chili. Nothing beats the original chocolate Frosty! I popped in for a quite bite this weekend and found this Wendy's to be solid. Standard layout and the standard menu. My Junior Bacon Cheeseburger was perfectly put together and the Cheesy Cheddarburger hit the spot. With a small chili and a small Frosty, I was stuffed and all for less than $5. They simply don't care!! This is the second time I have gone to this location and they clearly display lack of consideration for customers. I went through the drive through(because once again the lobby was closed during opening hours). I ordered two #10s, which are the asiago chicken bacon sandwiches, and once I pulled up to the window and already paid with my debit card, they stated that they we're out of the asiago cheese. My next question was, was I going to be refunded or discounted for the absence of the asiago cheese which is the sole purpose of the asiago sandwich. The cashier came back to me and said no it'll be the same price so I asked well what was going to be done. She then stated rudely, "well do you just want your money back?" I asked her how long would it take since I paid with a debit card to get back to my card. And then she said, "Well I can just give you back to you in cash." I accepted that and moved on. But this is ridiculous there's always something wrong or they're not open or they are lacking in food supplies. I'm frankly quite tired of it This was a huge and convenience for me and my fiance. So never again will I be attending this Wendy's and I will make sure that I post this on every social media site, every platform, review site, and the BBB, so that no one goes here. waited over 30 minutes to get our food. charged us more than the sign said but it took so long that we just wanted our food. They had 4 workers and were short staffed but they were all not really trying. One lady was just sitting in the back bossing them around. after the lady in front of us finally got to order and it was our turn after 10 minutes they told us they were holding orders due to DoorDash orders. Went back again today. Like 3-4 people inside... sat at the speaker box for like 20mins with no answer at all... finally said "hello!" Someone answered and said "we closed" just pathetic always closed or don't have many items for you to order... Looks like Corporate Wendy's probably doesn't know what such a little franchise does a terrible job in serving customer's . First they (drive thru servers) will not take your order for a long time ( one time with no notice at all )so that the timer wouldn't clock them for a longer service time. Secondly, The likelyhood that they get the simplest order wrong is very high ( I have driven throu lots of times they had my orders wrong many in many occasions). Please train these employees or identify those who really don't want to work there show them the door , many well mannered guys are out there in need of such good paying jobs. read more

went here after going to carowinds at around 1am. friend had placed a mobile order and we weren't from around the area so we didn't know how to get to the drive thru. we proceeded to go inside, while the lights were off, the doors were unlocked so we went inside to pick up the order. a woman working came up to us and instead of politely telling us the inside was closed, she proceeded to threaten to call the cops on us and tell us we were stupid for coming into a closed restaurant. she said the sign on the outside said the hours, but we didn't pay attention to that considering the doors were unlocked. the said she didn't know how we got in since the doors were "locked" when they were clearly unlocked. she proceeded to be extremely disrespectful until we went through the drive thru. my friend talked to someone at the speaker about his order and they told him to pull up. we pulled up and the woman started talking to us saying she had her manager on the phone since we asked for her, which we didn't. she said we had to talk to her manager since me and my friend had an attitude, when we politely told her the doors were unlocked. another one of my friend got snappy with her because she was being extremely rude. she began filming us and going off on us until we finally drove off. on the way out she threw a cup at our car which hit our friend. by far the worst customer service i have ever experienced. read more

Last night I went to this Wendy's a little before 12am and was instantly helped upon entering the drive thru. Tony, the guy taking our order, was super funny and entertaining which made the experience more interesting than usual. Our orders were correct and FRESH thank the Lord lol. They even included a little bit more nuggets in me and my girlfriend's bags along with extra sauces! Stopped in here with 4 others after leaving Carowinds and had our order taken as soon as we walked in. After placing our order and proceeding to the drink station, it was suddenly more clear why we were the only ones in line. The dining area had garbage all over the floor; ketchup spilled in areas and random clumps of hair. The garbage bins were over flowing. Not one table was clean enough to sit and eat at and there appeared to have been an explosion at the drink station. One drink machine was out of service with a digital message on the screen stating daily cleaning service needed...I'd suggest a daily cleaning service is needed across the board at this location! Service was very slow! We watched many people come in and leave without ordering (was it due to uncleanliness? Long wait times? I don't know). One girl waited so long on fries that the person who drove her came in and told her to cancel her order, that it shouldn't take this long for fries. We didn't think to read reviews before entering since Wendy's is supposed to be a reputable food chain and felt trapped once we placed our order. Based on numerous poor reviews, I now know our experience was not an isolated event. I am dumbfounded they remain open, especially with Covid and increased need for cleanliness. You would think being so close to Carowinds the standards would be higher here and management would be better, but that was not the case. If this review deters at least one person from stopping here to waste time or money then it was a success, but if you're like me and just now reading this after the fact, take comfort in knowing that you are not the only one....I've seen things too! read more

Be careful with this Wendy's, they are either dumb at counting or they are trying to short change people. Drive thru wait was crazy. Then no apologies or sorry for the wait , almost ten minutes. You know you're waiting for a long time when you turn off your car. Then as I give them a 20 the change was $4.05 , I get $3.05 cents lol. IN QUARTERS !!! The cashier Anthony was the one responsible. He looked higher than a kite and theres nothing wrong with smoking Once in a blue, but I know this high, it was pill head high lol. Brandi , if she was the host, she gave us her hand instead of acknowledging us , when I we were trying to tell them that they gave us the wrong change. This is one of the worst fast food place I have to go too. 1st visit I was really craving for a frosty. Went thru the drive thru.. Ordered and she gave me the frosty. And that's it. This is my second time coming to this location in a month. Its right there w/ where I regularly get gas during lunch. You would think that w/ it being right next to Carowinds and its the summertime that it would be faster during lunch time . Today's visit was not any different. They only had one person taking orders at 12:30 and the drive thru had like 4 cats waiting for orders to be taken. Workers behind the counter didn't know what people ordered so they were confused. If this place wasn't connected to the gas station I like to use, I would go across the street to Subway or drive 5 min more to the McDs when I want a burger. Oh my goodness it's frustrating to enter, park, and exit this Wendy's without making an illegal turn. I would try to go to this place during my trip to Carowinds and the only way I could safely enter was by making an illegal U-Turn at the Carowinds exit. I tried doing it lawfully by making 3 left turns but got stuck in the mess of a hotel parking lot chock full of one-way streets. Once you get to here, it's very crowded, and you will frequently find yourself accidentally boxing in parked cars as you try to wait for the drive-thru. That being said, once you get your food, you will find that it's the same Wendy's food that you get at other stores, except slightly more rushed looking due to the crazy influx of tourists from Carowinds. It's not a big deal to me, and FAR better than paying $10 for a tiny meal at Carowinds. Getting a burger and chili really hit the spot on our trip to Carowinds and I would gladly do the same again. The only reason this place gets 3-stars rather than 4 is just because of its wait time, and it's poorly designed parking lot. read more

Stopped here to get a quick sandwich before hitting the road. I'm always skeptical of gas-station/fast food restaurant pairings since there is always a lot going on, but I got in and out okay and the food hit the spot at that particular time.
