    Spicy chicken sandwich
    Christina L.

I've never been happier to see a fast-food place than this one, when I was here for a business trip and arrived in Franklin at 12:30 am, and nothing else was open in the area. This place has the drive-thru open till 1 am. I don't think I've been to a Wendy's in over 10 years, but their spicy chicken sandwich was still as good as I remember it being when I was little. Yes, the lettuce was a little limp, but the chicken was hot and spicy and I was happy to eat something instead of nothing at 1 am. They seem to have added a lot of salads on the menu (4 of them) and a lot of things with bacon. There are also chili cheese fries. The drive thru was fast: by the time I finished ordering on the speaker and drove to the window to pick it up, my food was ready. Thanks microwave? Anyways, your standard fast food at slightly than higher prices (or maybe that just the norm). For one sandwich and one burger, we paid around $9-10. No fries or drinks. Beggars can't be choosers when nothing else is open.

On the way back from the cape in Franklin we were looking for a little dinner.. we found it at Glen…read morepharma. I had the grilled octopus which was delicious and tender with a Mediterranean flair. I took a side of garlic broccoli which could have been cooked just a little bit more but was delicious. My wife had the fish and chips which I stole. A little bit of the chips were the best I've had. The fish was delicious. Of course we had to have a traditional old fashioned smoked which was quite a treat. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very attentive. Funny and welcoming.. but what really killed it was the ambiance and Old Stone building with beautifully appointed decorations. It was a place that I would love to spend more time in. If you're ever in the area, we highly recommend it.

We've visited here several times since its opening. Love the build out in the old mill building…read more It's interesting that they distill their own liquors, but it's not the main attraction as they are all variations of things you easily find a ton of, either at most liquor stores or even from other area distilleries like Bully Boy. We've had fantastic food there in the past. Also some great drinks. There are a few reasons for the three though. One is that food can be hit or miss and I think prices are far too high for both the area and what you get. Example shown in my pic was a $35 "Steak Frites" entree, which was you can see is basically steak tips with tater tots and some random veggies and sauce put together in what was not the most appetizing manner. Unless the tots were handmade with exotic ingredients, this is not how a Steak Frites should be done, and even then Tots are a pretty low end alternative. Cocktails also on the high side, though the presentation of the smoked ones was really nice, even if the taste didn't warrant the price. Inside the place gets very noisy and the seating is too compacted, probably because they use a large part of the original building for the distillery operation. Also we went on a weekday, and their entire lot was filled, forcing us to find a grass strip to drive onto and park on. I think the reason was they had a private party on the second floor - I think perhaps they allowed too many guests there which took up most of their parking. Last thing about the menu .. we like that it changes, but this week there were not one but several dishes featuring Gochujang - an unusual flavor for sure, which I do like, but when I see something like that peppered across a menu it speaks to cost cutting in terms of trying to stretch one key ingredient. Just not that thrilled with where the menu is at the moment. The outside seating area is great and eliminates the interior noise problems. And I'll add we had a fantastic server! We will definitely come back, but if the prices remain as high and the food and drinks continue to be a mixed bag, that may not remain the case. And please don't overbook private parties unless you can take over the industrial business next door and expand the parking significantly.

Inside, the restaurant exudes cleanliness and hospitality. Two large televisions are strategically placed at each end of the bar, while the decor throughout the establishment is visually captivating. The barista, Kayla, consistently provides refreshingly updated special cocktails. My personal favorite is the "Whisky Business," which features Bourbon, Campari, and Sweet Vermouth, served over a substantial ice cube and is an exceptional libation for whisky enthusiasts. The menu includes delectable small plates such as "bang bang cauliflower" with buffalo sauce, the "wisecracker quesadilla," and the "southwest bowl." Each dish is a culinary delight, and I anticipate future reorders. During our four visits, the bar staff consistently made us feel welcome through their warm smiles and engaging conversations. We eagerly anticipate our next visit to the Rail. It is noteworthy that the RAILLERY participates in the "Toast" loyalty program.

Waitress was great, very polite, very attentive. The wings were delicious and they let us get two different sauces. Steak tips were mediocre not worth 30.00. The Bangkok bowl was good but the vegetables were awful. Overall it was ok, nothing I would be like oh my god I want to come back for though.

The sweet, smoky flavor, mustardy goodness isn't something I've found done as well anywhere else. And the fish itself was cooked perfectly. They paired the fish with the heartiness of the harvest grain side dish you see pictured. It was a huge serving, and I ate the whole thing because it was amaaaazing. My waitress was lovely and efficient, and I also didn't feel rushed. What made it a four star experience rather than 5 stars for me was the ambiance. The music was horrible--like 1980's big hair band type music. It was such a bizarre contrast to the rest of the upscale ambiance, which looked & felt more like a steakhouse. To my chagrin, it wasn't just one "off" song either...the awful selections kept coming throughout the meal. The music gave it more of a dive bar vibe, and it was so completely offputting that I left sooner than I otherwise would have. It honestly gives me pause when I think about coming again. And that's a real shame because I'd like to bring others here to share the amazing eats. I may try it again on another day. But if the music is the same, I'll be walking right back out the door.
