This has been one of my go-to spots for years. It's the best pub food I've ever had. I'm largely a vegetarian and a super picky eater and they have the best black bean burger - the tomato jam is such a great touch. The fries are also some of the best tasting I've had in a long time - they have a good flavor. Not sure if it's rendered beef fat or what but it reminds me of the OG McDonald's fries. The nachos here are also great. They have a bunch of live music and trivia inside that I should take advantage of more. Some rotating seasonal items. Love this place. read more

This is your typical pub food. It's good, not great. Their menu is extensive though drawing inspiration from a wide range of flavors and cuisines. There's something for everyone, so overall it's a solid dependable option. We tend towards the salads which are creative and consistently enjoyable. read more

A pub , in what's essentially a strip mall, fully lives up to an authentic (& exceptional) Irish pub. Staff were welcoming and helpful. We went a little overboard with apps, but no regrets when it came to the tower of onion rings, buffalo chicken nachos and poutine. All two thumbs up- and enjoyed with pints of Guinness. Burgers were excellent, as was my grilled cheese w lobster - chunks of lobster that was packed with flavor and gooey goodness. It was my first visit and won't be my last. Dined here early evening on 3/14/26. Busy night because of St Patrick's Day weekend. Got the shepherds pie which is a guilty pleasure of mine that I rarely get/eat. It was very good. Wife got lamb stew which she really liked. Service was great with server being friendly and attentive. Will return! read more

Pulled into the parking on a Thursday evening around 6:15pm, and it was very busy. We took that as a good sign, but overall, we left feeling pretty disappointed. There was a good sized bar area, as well as a lower dining room where we sat. Every part of the service, while very friendly, was equally slow - taking our order, waiting for food, no water refills, etc. The food was meh - I ordered a smoked Turkey sandwich w/ bacon and avocado, which was a "special" that evening and recommended by our server. It was fine, but the fries were served room temperature, which was too bad as they looked they they would have been good had they been hot. We also ordered the jalapeño burger. Despite the pickled jalapeños, it was somewhat bland and lacked seasoning. Oh, and it was as cold as the fries. I suspect our food sat in the kitchen for a while before being brought out to us, but we didn't have time to send it back or wait any longer. read more

We are long time patrons and love it here. Great atmosphere and nice people and staff. Tonight we had two meals that encouraged me to write this review. Mahi entree was amazing. Great mango salsa with rice cooked perfectly and green beans with a nice snap still. Delicious!!!! Fun pub in Medway located at the back of a shopping center. Bar area is cozy and nicely laid out. Had lunch on a Saturday early afternoon. Our waitress was friendly and helpful.lunch included Pub Sandwich (Irish bacon, cheddar & tomato on sourdough toast ), Classic Rueben, and Moroccan Turkey Tips with rice and asparagus. Sandwiches came with shoestring fries. All were delicious, Tandoori turkey was nicely charred on the edges and had a slightly spicy sauce. In between games at a soccer tournament and wanted something better than Burger King so we tried this place. Ordered online which was super easy. Five stars for the waitstaff who checked in with me at least 5 times even though I could have waited in my car until I got the text. They were super sweet and even threw in extra napkins and utensils because we were going to eat in our car. However, it was family friendly enough that we could have ate inside. There were tables available. The Honey Turkey sandwich had turkey, bacon, arugula, tomatoes, red onion, avocado, pepper jack cheese, chipotle aioli on sourdough. It was such a good sandwich even for the dude that doesn't consider sandwiches as dinner. He loved it. The Butternut Squash Burrata Toast was super tasty but the bread seemed too toasted? That may be how it was supposed to be cooked. I'm not an expert. The Roasted butternut squash puree, arugula, candied pecans, cranberries, burrata, and balsamic reduction made up for it. Again, the picky non-sandwich guy even found it delicious. The Irish poutine was ok. It's a hard dish to get for take out. We should have skipped it. Yet another case of great food but exceedingly bad service. If you can even get a table, it's gonna be 20 minutes before your waiter takes your order let alone greets you. I've been here multiple times with different types of people, and they are just SLOW here. The customer is their last priority so I would advise taking your business elsewhere. read more

The lobster rolls are loaded with tender delicious lobster. It's worth the splurge! The truffle fries are also tasty. We'll be back again.

My salad came with over-salted, inedible chicken. Waitress sent it back to get a new one with plain unseasoned chicken. Second salad had overly salty inedible "bland" (no Southwest seasonings) chicken. Couldn't eat the chicken. Part way though our meal, we ordered a burger "to go". We ordered it at 6:25. I ate the salad minus the over salty chicken, and my husband finished up his meal - with squishy sausage (he wouldn't order the bangers and mash again). We paid bill, including our burger that was to go at 6:50, leaving the waitress a big tip, because she deducted $6 off the meal, because the chicken was awful and couldn't be eaten. Didn't want to blame her for the bad cook. We continued to wait for our burger. Waitress then ignored us, because we had paid. We asked the hostess for help. It took 47 minutes for us to get our burger. We didn't get it until 7:12! We had no updates from anyone, our waitress continued to ignore us. No apologies from anyone, no coupons to make up for the wait. Staff didn't care. Bad chicken, bad sausage, and the burger which turned out to be good, took 47 minutes. Won't go back. read more

I'm not sure why we keep trying this place, other than there are limited options around here. These ppl are not capable of putting together a good takeout meal. They dress the salad...who does that on takeout! The fish is dry and the breading falls off if you breath too hard. No tartar sauce, no coleslaw and cold chewy fries. (we like five minutes away, so our meals should not be cold). The short ribs are okay, tender. They are buried in a "red wine" sauce that is more thickener and beef flavoring than wine. The mashed potatoes taste like cafeteria food. What is that taste? I don't know but it's definitely not fresh. We were trying to get a decent meal while still being lazy. For the price, you would hope. nope. Off the list for the final time! read more

Good food, it is a little pricey but it's worth it. I usually test a restaurant's ability based off its ability to make risotto and their lobster risotto passed with flying colors: the rice was cooked through but not mushy and flavor was on point. Planned on meeting an old friend at this place for a drink and to catch up; walked in and sat at the bar. Sunday, early evening and not too busy. I thought it would be nice. And it might have been but for the fact: I was never even acknowledged by the barmaid, didn't get her name because she totally ignored me sitting there at her bar; I sat for quite some time until, out of total disbelief, got up, left, and walked over to PJ's Smoke and Grill; met my friend and had a great time reminiscing, eating and drinking to a very relaxed atmosphere with very friendly, sincere, and attentive staff. Mickey Cassidy's new Menu is drop dead awesomeness! I ate there tonight 11/29 with friends. i ordered the slow roasted short ribs served on top of fresh Cauliflower & sweet potato mashed. Along slide roasted Brussels sprouts. When I tell you this was the best short ribs plus I have ever eaten is an understatement. My only explanation is "AWESOME SAUCE " Friends had the Fresh Mushroom flatbread pizza. She said it's was so good she ate every bite. Another friend had the steak tip dinner also "Amazeballs" do yourself a favor and come see all the changes in this beautiful pub you won't be disappointed! read more

Was in NE for the weekend of St Patty's and found this place through Yelp. It is traditional Irish restaurant/ pub and enjoyed the service and atmosphere. The Guinness pints where great. Where it went wrong was the special for the weekend- Corned beef and cabbage plate. The Corned beef was extremely dry and not cut correctly which felt like chewing a rubber tire! Also the potato's, cabbage and carrots had no seasoning at all. I would understand if it was just my plate but there were 6 orders all cut wrong and dried out. For this place to be an Irish Pub/ Restaurant, they really dropped the ball on an authentic Irish dish. Sorry for the disappointing post but rather you know so you can correct it read more

Worst restaurant experience of my life. Food was awful. Service was awful. Yuck times a million. I realize "irish food" is not suppose to be tasty. But at least try to make it someone good. I had ham, with bangors and mashed potatoes. The ham was dry, to the point where I thought my knife was going to break. We went in to eat a little something and have a meeting. I couldn't warm up to the idea of ordering any food. So no, I didn't try any, the plates that went by us looked good. And the people who joined us had some apps, with mixed reviews from them. The place is dated, which makes it feel a little grimy, the stool I sat on was ripped and dirty the table was dirty and the place in general needs updating. We were here tonight on the Marine Corp ls birthday and on the eve of Veteran's day. We were with a Vietnam vet who wanted to buy a round of drinks for all the Veteran's in the bar. Not only did the bartenders not announce it, we were dismissed like "Who care?" "There aren't any in here" well how would you know if you didn't announce it. Mickey Cassidy's is your typical townie Irish pub (Guinness signs, dark wood paneling). Staff is friendly, I actually had a conversation with the bartender, which you don't get in Somerville! TVs play the Pats/Sox/Bruins games. Food is good too and very reasonably priced. It gets packed around 7 or later. I prefer sitting at the bar. I'm glad my regular is such a great, friendly place, and not a dive bar. read more

How are there not more reviews of this place?! Good Irish place with a warm cozy atmosphere. The food tastes very fresh and service is prompt. With a polite wait staff and reasonable prices you'll bet I will be back. I hear they have live music and can't wait to go during one of those nights :) The dining area is separated from the bar and they also have a large function room. I'd recommend this place for a nice night out with a loved one. It isn't fancy, but has a slightly more romantic feel. Might be due to the dark wood and low lighting though. The menu offers your typical Irish dishes, burgers and sandwiches, and even Italian plates. read more
