Laura was treating me to lunch for my birthday that has since passed. This was our first time here. We've heard good things about the place. When we walked in, we saw a huge table of senior citizens, maybe about 20-30! We decided to stay. There was only one Bartender and one Waitress. The place was packed. We sat by the window seats-that was all that was left to sit at. The Waitress was very attentive(even though she was slammed). Today's special was shrimp baskets. Shrimp could be cooked three ways. I chose fried w/onion rings(fresh-not frozen rings) & and a 50/50 tea. My meal was delicious. Laura had blackened shrimp w/broccoli. We both enjoyed our meals and had a great conversation. I had $40.00 cash on me and Laura had a card to treat me, but the internet and card machine had just gone down. So I paid for the meal and tip. Laura Cash App'd me $40.00. I have been to cowtown tavern a few times. Each time I have left feeling as if there wasn't enough servers to give proper attention to each table. It's a sit anywhere kind of place but with that it takes them over 10 minutes to bring menus to the table. All 3 times I had to ask for plates and silverware. The food was okay nothing spectacular. The last time, and final time I gave them a shot, the server we had seemed to be in an awful mood and was extremely short with everyone when ordering. She didn't know what beers they had so my friend had to get up and go to the bar to see. It just seems like she was having a bad day and possibly weeded but her attitude left a bad taste in my mouth and she said she had worked there from when it was still dicks wings. Cowtown Tavern is a local hang out that seems to be a good place to watch a game and take in some pub grub. The interior is casual with exposed brick walls, wood floors, black and dark brown accents with barrels sprinkled in for additional decor. The bar is huge with music playing in the background and there are plenty of TVs to view sports. There is bar seating along with tables and high-tops. Our waitress Rebekka was a superstar! She had to be. It looked like she was the only person serving about 6-7 tables. Maybe we orders the wrong things but the food we ordered was average. The fried pickles were decent, the bang-bang shrimp was solid, and the nachos were subpar with cold cheese. There was also some kind of smell going on that wasn't food. It reminded me of a backed up disposal. Could have been an off day here, and I'm not opposed to trying them again. Decided to try this restaurant based on the Yelp reviews but we were disappointed. We opted for a few appetizers to share and only learned they no longer carried one of our choices that was listed on the menu. Our waitress said she was sorry for not telling us right away but that no one usually ordered it. We quickly decided on a substitute and ordered the Macho Nachos, Bang Bang shrimp and pickle chips with sriracha ranch. The pickle chips were okay, very greasy but the sriracha ranch helped cut that grease. The Bang Bang Shrimp offered 6 large shrimp, tasted good, but the tails were left on the shrimp and fried which made it difficult to remove the tails. The nachos were awful. The cheese was barely warm and there were only a handful of beans. We thought the description including two types of beans (black & pinto) meant a decent amount of protein, but we barely had any beans. The food was blah and disappointing. Our waitress was working hard the entire time, she seemed to be the only waitress for the whole restaurant and was serving at least 6 other tables and sweeping the floor. The food was good and it was your typical sports bar atmosphere. We sat at a table and the place wasn't busy as it was 3pm in the afternoon. The server brought our food and never came back to ask if things were ok or to see if we needed refills. She was so busy talking to a guy at the bar we had to go ask for our check. We were sadly disappointed. After a yelp review we decided to check out this small neighborhood tavern. It's small and suited for drinking at the bar not eating at a table. We sat at a table and after ten minutes of absolutely no service e we made the smart choice to leave. The only service was the bartender for bar customers. We never saw a single waitress/waiter. If you want to throw back some drinks this might be the place for you but if you're ready to eat go elsewhere. After being disappointed with this establishment we yelp-searched again and ate and drank at the Wicked Barley Brewery. It's great service, great food and premium brewed beer! read more

We found this place after moving nearby and have been coming back for years! It's near by, has delicious food, and ample seating. Lots of screens to watch all the games. The servers and bartenders are fantastic and kind! And you earn points when you pay for discounts. They also have live entertainment and other events, but I've not yet gone. read more

Food is very good with a nice variety. I'm giving 4 stars because they took the flat bread pizza off the menu, which I think is one of the top 3 things they had. Beer is cold, I hate going somewhere and getting good food and And not very cold beer. I have been there three times and the servers have always been great and very attentive to what we needed. The inside is nice with lots of TVs to watch whatever you want and they have higher stools which make it nicer to be able to see above people sitting at the bar. read more

So I'll try not to be fair and talk only about what it is not how it was. Great hidden whiskey spot. If you like a good cocktail where they're only pouring top shelf at well prices, this is your jam! Great selection and you can't beat the rotating $5 whiskey of the day samples. Some of the apps are a little too pretentious for the local pub vibe but it's not dirty and dingy, you wouldn't be embarrassed to bring a date. Such a pleasant surprise in the middle of a shopping center. We were in town for a baseball tournament and decided to try this place out after finding it on yelp. Bang bang shrimp were delicious and the cheese bites are given a 10/10! The French dip, tacos and lemon pepper wings were eaten by our party and all enjoyed!
