Do yourself a favor and drive on to Emporia or KC. Went through the drive through, they took forever, and still didn't get my order right...

15-20 minute wait for food when there was only 3 other customers waiting. Had to repeat the order 2-3 times to be understood... a even then, they still messed it up. Didn't seem that friendly, floor was dirty and front was abandoned when customers stopped coming in. Horrible experience, 24 minutes for a large chilli & single hamburger with cheese, pickle, ketchup & mustard. When I walked into the lobby there was a couple sitting at a table eating, two women at a table waiting for their order, two men standing near the counter also waiting for their order and two other men on opposite sides of dining room also waiting for their orders. I would give this a negative one review from the time I walked in I waited at the counter over 7 min before anyone acknowledged I was even there. The girl by the drive thru register was so busy eating a 30 price nugget and on her phone she didn't even notice I was there. It was literally 3 customers in the lobby and they was eating together the trash can all over filled, tables was disgusting floors definitely haven't been swept/mopped in hours Then Christian comes from the back takes my order then goes and do the trash which needed to have been done hours ago and he did it all with a smile and a hustle and his attitude was beyond my expectations which is why I gave it 3 stars. If I could give this store zero stars I would. Website says it closes at 11. Stopped at 8:30 and the drive thru was closed and all chairs put up inside. Ran in to see if they were still serving. Six employees standing around and they said sorry we closed the drive thru due to staff shortage. Clearly that wasn't the case. I wanted to grab two chocolate frosties and they were out. Walked in with 3 kids and my host Sierra didn't even address me to go next... we finally ordered 3 chili 3kids meals which took well over 15 minuets and when it was finally ready the just stared at us without uttering one word that our order was ready and walking away... Just stopped here for a quick burger. There were only a couple of customers at the restaurant and a couple in line. We order a simple two chicken sandwiches and one fries to go. Took way too long to prepare. Nearly 20 minutes. Got to the car and expected nice hot food since it must have been prepared after the order. We got barely warm food, stale barely warm fries and fries with no salt. Big disappointment. read more

If I could give zero stars or negative Stars I would do so. Stopped in here on the way to a small town was very hungry had been on the road for quite awhile. pulled into the drive-thru, and the guy says may I take your order? Before I can even open my mouth to say anything he says I'll be with you in a moment. Suddenly I hear whispering and then I hear whistling and then the guy says I'll leave her sitting there waiting eventually she'll drive off. And that's exactly what I did. I have been to a lot of Wendy's restaurants and this is by far one of the worst I've ever been to. I never got to sample the food, never saw the face of the person who was the rudest person of all because his customer service killed any chance of me ever returning here again. I was accompanying my husband truck driver on a run when we stopped here for lunch. Big mistake. It took forever for us to get our order taken granted it was lunchtime but more than 4 people should have been on. We made our order to go so we could get back on the road. Then we waited a long time to get our order and it came on a tray. I said this was to go and she said fine change your mind. Ask someone else to get us a bag. The other person hand me the bag and said "here you go " Really! I was very frustrated at this moment that didn't check the order. I bagged it up and went to the truck. Our order was WRONG! Stopped here for a hamburger combo. I should have left right away. Get ready to chase away flies. It was dirty inside, and the staff was arguing behind the counter. Before I could turn and leave a clerk asked for my order. As I waited 15 minutes it gave me plenty of time to see the dirt/grime on the lobby floor, walls and soiled tables in the dining area that had probably looked that way for hours. There was only one customer ahead of me, and she waited seemingly the same amount of time for her order - and they messed it up. If you are heading west down I-35, then wait 15 minutes to get to Emporia to order a snack. read more

Just drive on past this Wendy's... you'll be happy you did. I like semi-locally to Beto Jct so I've given this Wendy's more than one chance. Each and every time, I leave disappointed. Tonight I decided, this is our last visit here. Tonight, we decided to go thru the drive-thru since we were just ordering chili and there were only 2 cars in the drive-thru. We waited a total of 23 minutes. The first car took forever. Any other fast food restaurant would ask that car to pull forward so they can serve the other cars waiting in line. Not this Wendy's... I finally turned my car off so I wouldn't use up an entire tank of gas waiting for food. I would have left but once you get in the drive-thru line, you are trapped. And as with every experience at this Wendy's, they are always out of something you order. Tonight, they were out of the hot chili seasoning packets. I attribute nearly all the problems at this restaurant to poor management. Also, as others have mentioned, this place isn't clean at all. So, like I say, save yourself some disappointment and frustration and drive on by. Emporia and Ottawa have plenty of nice restaurant choices and they're both only 30 minutes a way. read more
