This place and the people that work there are phonemonal. I have 3 daughters all very young 4,5, and 6. Not only were they patient and understanding but the interacted directly with the girls instead of looking at me as if we r playing the game telephone. Came here twice via megabus. The first time I came here was a couple of days ago at 3 AM and they were giving me a 20 minute wait and only half their menu was available so I decided to just walk next door to the gas station attached. I came back today and there's a line basically almost out the door and I wasn't waiting 25 minutes for food while I'm already in the middle of nowhere so I went back to the gas station again to get what I needed. When I visited this location, there were only two workers. The mean lady in the back, and THE WENDY'S WARDEN. This man changed my life. His kindness and consideration towards me and my 3 homeless bulldogs (two of which only have 3 limbs) were life changing. I can barely afford the dog food, and I needed Wendy's. THE WARDEN gave me 5 free frosty's and 5 free key chains so I never need to get frosty's again. THE WARDEN is modern day Mother Teresa with his charitable acts towards be and my disabled, homeless, bulldogs will forever be the greatest moment of my life. read more

An adequate fast food stop, but prepare to wait if it's not a peak time. I stopped at this Wendy's while getting gas around 8 or 9 on a Saturday night during a snow storm. There were three or four tables of people sitting down to eat, but I was the only person in line. I got a junior cheeseburger deluxe and an order of fries. Both were prepared after ordering, so it took about ten minutes or so to get my food. Obvious upside was that my meal was hot and fresh; downside was that I was hoping to get back on the road ASAP. The cashier was polite and professional, and the store seemed clean if a bit outdated. My burger did have a bizarre, bleachy taste to it, though. I figured out it was the pickles causing the issue and picked them off. I've never noticed this flavor before so I'm not sure if they use a different distributor or they'd sat out too long and turned a little funky. This location takes the fast out of fast food, but it's fine if you want something fairly cheap and familiar while on the road and don't mind waiting for a bit. read more

Let me tell you a story. I am part of a family of 6. We are very poor and can't afford much. All we could afford was some mini frosties. My mother scavenged her pockets for the change to pay but came up short. The man at the register. We will just call him "The Wendy Warden", decided to pay for it out of his own pockets. He also gave us a keychain that will get us free frosties for a year. By far the best customer service I have ever received. read more

just went there for the first time since they poured a lot of money into a remodel. tried to order a baked potato with cheese and bacon. they were out of potatoes. this is 4:30p on a Thursday. so I ordered pub fries with extra cheese. I get to the window and the cook forgot to make it. I watched the young lady yell back the order to them specifically stating extra cheese. I got a small handful of fries no cheese just some bacon bits..... I attempted to call back there to complain and per usual....no one answers the phone there. been like that for years. sad and disappointing. read more

LIVE COCKROACH FOUND IN MY MEAL! My daughter and I were riding the Megabus to Minneapolis. Your store was our first/only opportunity to buy a hot meal. So I bought lunches (transaction #: 9191437) at your store. All was going well until a live cockroach crawled out of the bag! I hurried to get the pest off of the bus and stomped it dead outside. We threw the remainder of our lunches (including the drinks) out! I would have gone into the store to complain directly; but we didn't have time before the bus pull off. Very bad experience. Lost order waited 25 min. Demanded a refund from Rudest manager ever. She ignored our problem, gave our order to what appeared to be her friends and or kids hugging them unmasked near the order line. Went back to work yelling that she was understaffed and everyone is messing up orders. Finally I asked her name.. Kathleen Carter. About as much as can be expected for a Wendy's, and terribly slow. Expect any order to take 15-20 minutes from the time you get in line, regardless of time of day (longer if busier). Also not uncommon to get undercooked fries if they are busier. read more

This was honestly THE WORST Wendy's I have ever been to in my whole life. Bacon queso fries: cold. Burger patties: cold. My burger that comes with lettuce didn't have any. employee turn over is something else at this place .I usually order the same thing 2 small chillies 1 with onions and 2 crispy chicken sandwiches and 1 value reg coke, If im lucky to get on of the regular employees OK but that only about half the time, then I get both chillies with onions or none in either and on the chicken sandwiches I may get a piece of lettice the actual size of a dime(yes a dime,like why bother) and a huge gobb of mayo or none at all. and a diet coke every time I go her I see 3 or 4 new faces read more

So sad that the good name of Wendy's is tarnished at the Mauston location inside the Pilot Travel Center. Not sure which was worse, the service or the food. I asked for hot water and was told they don't have that. I ordered a baked potatoe and that as well they did not have. I settled for for an Apple, Pecan, Chicken salad as stated on their menu and was surprised to get it with blue cheese on it. I don't do moldie cheese. I wouldn't have ordered it had that been stated as well. There was no choice of dressing and the one that came with the salad was terrible. My sister had their chili and could only eat 2 bites of it and threw out the rest. Maybe another Wendy's but NOT the Mauston one ever again. read more
