Getting a meal from here is a lesson in what not to do in the service industry. You would think that in fast food it would be hard to achieve a description of "inattentive" but this Wendy's managed in spectacular fashion. The guy taking my order at the drive-thru started off fine, but he cleared the screen very quickly before I could review the order he took down. When we got to the window he said absolutely nothing. Didn't confirm the price or anything. Just put his hand out for my payment. Fine. Gave him the card. Got card back without a word or a receipt. When he gave us a bag of food the order was unsurprisingly wrong. The complete lack of attention at all was so low that it feel below my already low expectations. Don't go hear. I have had so many problems with this Wendy's, I don't even know where to start! Everytime I've eaten inside the restaurant, I have noticed the trash barrels constantly overflowing due to employees not being apt enough to take out the trash. The floors are sticky, the staff is sluggish and the food is not always what I ordered. When I attempted to complain to the supervisor, she yelled at me then resumed to say something in Haitian creole to someone behind her. She REFUSED to give me her name to complain elsewhere. I have tried to frequent this place (I love Wendy's) on so many occasions that I've finally just given up. I don't even want to go to Wendy's anymore because of my memories of how awful their staff is. It's ALWAYS some young Haitian person behind the counter who doesn't fully understand the menu process with a cook staff who takes forever to flip a burger on the grill and add the condements. While I is great that Medford Wendy's has delivery until 1am. It is not great and even illegal to charge 54.92% sales tax. That is in addition to $3.99 delivery charge. I don"t mind the delivery charge. I do, very much mind the illegal 54.92% meals tax charge! My order came to $5.48. The meals tax charge was $3.01. That is over 50%! It is a crime! Massachusetts meal tax is 6.25%. Local meals tax is .75%. That is only 7% total meals sales tax. Any percentage over that IS illegal. read more

This Wendy's is relatively new and clean. I've eaten here before and had horrible service, but this time it was alright. Wendy's as a whole needs to work on throughput and assembly line. Not hiring coke addled workers would be a start. But the Spicy Chicken Sandwich is so good. And the lovely lovely frosty. The food was hot and fresh this time, however, they did mess up our drinks, apparently "Sprite" can be read as "Diet Coke" in some languages. Was at this location before work . Went inside with mask and no one in line other than a Caucasian lady waiting for her food . A young African American kid came to cashier then the Caucasian jump in and decided to make another order which is fine I mean no one in line . After she was done and I continued to stand there and wait for cashier to take my order . No word not even acknowledging me standing there . Also a manager was chatting with 2 ladies who just came in . Seems like they knew each other cuz they were having great convo.. I asked the young man by the cashier if he was open to take my order . And he said "no" but he just took the other lady order . So I'm not sure what is problem here . Didn't tell me anything and just stood there and worst of all the manager was standing right next to me and didn't do or tell me anything. I always go there but Not No More .. Oh Wendy's, will you ever get it right? I'm not a huge fast food eater, but sometimes when it's late you don't have much of a choice. I can't comment about Wendy's during the day, just their late night drive thru... but c'mon! Last time I went our order was missing a chicken sandwich so we went back in the drive thru line, told them we were missing a chicken sandwich, they asked for a receipt but they didn't give us one to begin with, and after some huffing and puffing they surrendered our rightful chicken sandwich. Then tonight my 5 piece chicken nuggets was missing a nugget...I optimistically searched the bag hoping that a nugget hopped out... but I was unsuccessful and I didn't have the energy to get back into the drive thru line. This by far is the slowest Wendy's ever. Not only does it take about 10 minutes to get them to take your order somewhat right, but then you wait another 10 minutes at the window to get your food. Oh, and god forbid you ask for bbq sauce, that just throw everything off and then, another 10 minutes. Considering it's on a pretty busy street, you would think they have their act together more. He was the one taking my order and I had waited 20 mins for my order even though I saw my burgers sitting there. I went through the drive thru tonight. At first, I ordered a couple of items including a Medium Fry($1.99), then changed my mind and asked for a large fry($2.19) instead. I didn't see the order change on the drive thru monitor and asked the female staff if she received the change. She confirmed and I drove up to the second window. I paid with a credit card. At first, she didn't give me my receipt. It's odd because I always get receipts from Wendy's. It looked like she was hoping that I wouldn't ask for my receipt and waited until I asked for it. I look and I see that I've been charged for a Medium Fry and a small Fry. I asked why was i charged for 2 orders of fries when I only wanted one Large one. She said it was my fault for changing the order, so she had to add on the extra charge. This is unacceptable. She charged me an additional $1 because she didn't want to change the order and then hoped that I wouldn't notice by NOT giving me the receipt. Then when I confronted her, she blamed me for her actions. This is basically stealing from me. I'm giving 1 star for the service at this location. DO NOT go to this Wendy's location! This location is horrible - every order is made incorrectly and/or missing items and the staff is completely awful and RACIST. My wife and I were absolutely horrified by a recent drive-thru experience. We were forced to go through the horrible drive-thru because the store was closed inside. Upon reaching the drive-thru, the worker taking the order was immediately rude. After explaining what I wanted he repeated the first item back incorrectly. I asked multiple times to start over because he could not get the first item correct and kept repeating the wrong info to us. He kept interrupting me and would not let me explain what I wanted. This is the horrifying part - at a certain point he doesn't realize his headset is still going over the speaker and makes an inappropriate comment to either himself or a co-worker. He states clearly "What the (f word) do you want (racist word that I will not repeat)?" I'm not sure if he was talking to us under his breath or to himself or a co-worker, but it was insane. We drove off at that point out of the drive-thru and left. I then emailed Wendy's customer support through the Wendy's website twice and received no help. When I submitted a complaint I included the exact date of the incident, the store address and store number and the time of the incident. All they emailed me back was that they could not locate this store. I emailed them back on July 15 to repeat the store information that I gave. Nobody has contacted me back since. You would think that Wendy's would care about one of their stores having such horrific staff, but apparently they do not care enough to even email somebody back. Wow! Worst example of fast food I've EVER experienced in my entire life!!!! Got a simple burger, two nuggets, two fries and two drinks. I ordered from the "self order machine". Literally waited over a half hour for my shitty food. My name was on the screen, so I knew where I was, which was awesome, but it didn't matter because they had no sense of urgency! I understand that working at Wendy's must really suck, but just pretend to care!!! I knew I was next, so my burger was on the tray for at least 15 minutes, before they put the two fries, two cups and two nuggets, to finish the order. FINALLY got the food, which was decent besides my extremely cold burger! I would NEVER go there again! The guy in front of me had two salads, and a bunch of other stuff. He waited just as long as me and had his "to go" food on the counter. The idiot behind the counter asked him if he needed a bag, after they forgot to put the protein on his two salads. I thought he was gonna attack the idiots working! He said something in Spanish after he left, which I can't translate, because it's way too inappropriate! I work in the business and can't believe how they have any business at all after my experience. Please, never eat here, if you're in a rush. Never seen such laziness in my entire 22 year cooking career! In my opinion, they need to fire the entire staff, and hire a bunch of Latinos! Oh ya, you probably shouldn't be showing a movie on the TV like you did! They were playing "Basketball Diaries"!!!!!!! TERRIBLE SERVICE! They never get your order right, anytime I use my card they always seem to "forget" to give it back. Be prepared to wait in line for at least 30 min inside or drive thru. Then when u finally get your order it's never ever ever ever right!!! They forget straws they forget spoons even my dam card?! Oh not to mention there's sometimes a coyote that literally just stands in the parking lot. When I mentioned it to the worker at the drive thru window, he said they stay there all the time! I'm sure you'll notice how much people hate this place by the broken glass on the screen where you take your order by the drive thru which they still haven't fixed (not that I really care about that.) The guy on the drive through tonight (Sunday, September 6th/2015) was extremely frustrated and upset! While ordering he told me the soda machine was down, I told him it was ok. He did not hear me and went on saying what drinks he had. I told him that I would have the meals without the drinks (sandwich and fries, no drinks). The order was 2 kids meal and 2 "adult" meals (he even asked me what size of fries for one of the adult meals). When I got to the window, I asked him if every meal had the fries, demonstrating lots of frustration he said yes. I got my bag with food, look inside and there was only the 2 fries for the kids meals. I asked him where was the other fries, his answer was: "everything is there, I saw her putting the fries in". I took everything of the bag to show him that there were 2 fries missing, and he called that as me having an attitude, and goes on saying: "tell me what you want". I told him:"I want the fries for the other 2 sandwiches". He then interrupts me saying: "stop with the attitude and just tell me what you want!!". I repeat that I wanted the fries that come in the meal of the "adult" sandwiches, just to hear: "STOP WITH THE ATTITUDE AND TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT!!" At that time other staff of the restaurant comes to see what was going on and he tells them: "You deal with her, I can't". I went on to explain to them the situation, and even apologize if I had an attitude, but they needed to deal with their employee, because for sure he was having some issues tonight! Result: me and my family will look for another Wendy's to go to when we feel like having some of their meals. read more
