I was on my way back to the expressway from Ace Hardware, and was looking for lunch. I spotted Wendy's and thought - I haven't had Wendy's in a long time - why not stop? So I did. First off, if you are going southbound on Ridge, go a little further south to the next light and you'll turn left and see a sign to take you there. Leaving, follow the same route - the restaurant has a loop around the front. If you are driving an 18 wheeler, sorry, you just have to turn right and leave - the loop isn't big enough for your rig. Now that we are through with how to get there, how was it? Service was prompt, but the server talked so fast, I had to ask her to repeat herself. I heard her the second time. Suggestion: If you hear that once in a day, maybe you are talking too fast. Unless you are working towards a career in the person who says the 1000 word disclaimer at the end of a radio ad, please slow down. The food was cooked fresh. I had the Asiago Chicken (grilled) and the French fries, and both were hot. The drink machine (Universal Super Coke Unit) had many flavors but was out of a few at least. The place wasn't too busy for lunch rush time. The seating area needed a general cleaning. Not a chest grabber, but you could see that the tables needed to be wiped down. Haven't been to Wendy's in 20 years so we decided to step out. Went through the drive through and everything went pretty smooth. They shorted us three straws and gave zero napkins. My son wanted more bbq sauce and after a long drive I had to use the bathroom anyway, so I went inside to get him sauce. I kindly asked for a couple of extra sauces. Manager got disgusted and told the counter guy that we could have one but would charge for additional sauce and stormed off. I kind of laughed and mentioned that we had just spent $50 on food and it was wild to charge for two extra sauces but he was stone cold serious. I joked that we were shorted three straws and asked if those were an additional cost too. Didn't bother to ask for napkins or dare use the bathroom. Surely that would have sent them over the edge. I don't even know what to say. We pulled up to the ordering menu. Sat for about five minutes without anyone saying anything. Only when we asked "hello??" Did someone just say to hold on one minute. So I thought maybe they were busy or low staffed. No problem. We order and pull up to the pay window. Only two people actually working and the others were just standing and watching these two guys run around. We get our food and the fries were room temp and had no salt or flavor to them. What I want to know is what they have against sweet and sour sauce. Every single time I ask for it get either honey mustard or barbecue. Food is never fresh and always subpar. People are always short and rude and there is always something messed up in the order. Only reason I come here is because the next closest one is 20 minutes away. My jr. My wife just went through our Wendy's they told her in drive through to give them 20 min for shift change, I've never heard of this at a restaurant, she goes back only because our son isn't feeling well and that's all he wanted otherwise she would of left. I don't normally have high expectations for fast food restaurants, but these guys don't even meet the lowest of expectations. I have made the mistake of giving this Wendy's a second chance and they didn't fail to reinforce my first impression of them which was very bad. Not only is the Wendy's team slow, they cannot get any of our orders correct. Today they managed to serve two burgers with buns that were in full rigor mortis. I called to notify them that their cook was asleep at the wheel serving food that is stale and as usual the manager was no help, asking if I would like two more burgers. I think I'll pass, like from now on... forever. If there was a way to give negative points, I would. Do not waste your time or money at this dump. I hope they close this place and open something more useful, like anything at all just not this place or the people that work there now. read more

Never a good experience here and I have lived in Minooka for almost 30 years. Food is almost always cold. I have been given food with bugs in it and as of yesterday I was given a raw chicken sandwich. After eating half of it I realized it was raw. After talking with friends and family I was told about other experiences where they were also given raw chicken. I think that it might be beneficial for ol' boy in the back, to put a hat on or put his hair up, or gather up his pubes off the "sandwich-making table" because there were several little hairs in the sandwich that I ordered on June 17th..I don't know what they like to be doing at the wendys here...but I just don't particularly like that flavor on my food... this happened at about 4:30pm, through the drive thru.. When I came back around to complain about my issue.. they told me to pull around to the window and that they'll get it for me. so I do that, but when I get to the window all I see are about three worker girls just standing there, staring all awkward. To be honest, I was not greeted until I got the attention of one of them.. and asked her to come to the window.. I, then here employees from the back complaining and yelling about our order. i finally get to talk to a manager because I had to be a "Karen" and ask for one. She should have came to the window first but that's fine. Then the manager asks to see it to figure out "who's hair"... which I couldn't care less about.. but apparently she did. Anyway, I just asked that she make the sandwich and instead of listening when I told her the specifications, she said "I got you" over and over again. This, causing her to make the sandwich wrong. i went through the drive through again and now the manager ( who was pleasant prior to this) had an attitude. super gross behavior and food. read more

We give this location a try about every 2 months hoping they have improved and they don't. There is one thing left for them to do for this community---just close. It's the only thing left to do. Unable to figure out how to give fast service or friendly service or have any associates that seem to care. Today it was the usual slow drive thru service, being handed a drink without the lid on properly and watching it spill as was handed to me. No spoons for the frostys and the kids burger in the happy meal had all the things we asked not to be on there on the burger. This all comes down to a lack of pride in the business from the employees to the franchisee. There were only 2 positives--they actually had baked potatoes prepared and after this experience it will be at least another 2 months before I am asked to "give it another try". read more

This restaurant is a joke. Almost every time I've ordered in the past few months, either the order is seriously messed up, or they are out of things. Yesterday, I left empty handed because they were out of both chili and French fries. Was told the truck would be there today. Tonight I called and was told they had chili. By the time I got there, and it's only a mile from my house, you guessed it - they were out of chili again. This time the excuse was, the morning person didn't prep the meat for us. Horrible, Almost EVERY time I go in there something isn't right. The food is UNAPPEALING. One of the biggest problems I experience is the salad being sooooo watery! The chicken is soggy and cut in giant chunks! But there is SO MUCH FRICKIN WATER in the salad! The burgers are usually dry! I filled out the survey about a year ago, the manager or district manager responded claiming to be sorry and would send me coupons. I NEVER GOT ANYTHING. No one ever responded back either. A bunch of kids running the restaurant it seems to the eye. Overall, Wendy's is an alternative to McDonald's and I'd like to eat here, however the food looks so bad and NOT FRESH!!! read more

Wow. How is this place even open after all of this and how does anyone there have a job? Stopped in today. Here's how it went. The bathroom floor was absolutely disgusting and so was the toilet. Hardly anyone there and it took forever to be waited on. There were no pickles, no cups, and no chocolate. It then took forever for the order to be filled. We got ice cold fries and were short a drink. Then the ceiling dripped on me. The employee said "I've been yelled at three times today". Seriously - these reviews go back more than a year and not one is more than one star. Sadly, I think there is now an expectation in this culture that you deserve credit or pay simply for waking up in the morning. They have failed me every time I've been there in one way or another. Been there about 5-6 times. First time the drive thru took 20 minutes. Second time was waiting for my food inside and after waiting 15-25 minutes asked about food and they said they thought I left so they had to remake it which was an additional 15 minutes.Third time got half of my meal right but it was Uber so I couldn't get switched. Fourth time Uber driver called to say that they didn't have potatoes and I didn't know what that meant and then they told me they'd give me an extra fry but forgot two of the sandwiches.
