Being new to the area, we are working our way through the dining options. Ruby's has an interesting menu with some unique offerings I've not seen before. V went with a straightforward breakfast offering found most anywhere. The over-easy eggs were made as expected, and the French toast was thick bread and tasty. I ordered the Chilaquiles, which I've never heard of before, but I'm glad I tried it. I opted for the hot red sauce, which for breakfast was a bit too hot for me. Next time, I'll try the green, medium sauce. I really enjoyed the blend of flavors, the eggs, rice, refried beans, sauce, and sour cream. Yummy The service was perfect. Our waitress was prompt, the food arrived quickly, and our waitress followed up to make sure all was well. The atmosphere was a bit nicer than Grandma's located across the street. Check out this little diner in Minooka. It's off the beaten path unless you live in town or nearby but a good choice if you are taking a break off I80!!! Only a couple of blocks from standard fare to almost at home cooking! Lots of Mexican selections, great breakfast and lunch choices. Awesome breakfast spot in Minooka. I drove past this place while in town for work, and I thought it was out of business. One sign says 'pancakes' and another sign says 'Mexican'. You can't combine those to things, right? My coworker informed me I was wrong, the place is open, and serves both. Obviously I said we have to try it. And it was great! The service is great; the waitress kept my coffee and water full the entire time we were there, and the food came out very quickly. I had the chicken and three eggs. This comes with both hash browns and three pancakes so show up ready to eat. Everything was delicious. The restaurant is in a shopping center so there is only so much they can do with the outside, but the inside somehow reflects a Mexican restaurant and a pancake house at the same time. Let me start by saying I got no pictures because it was so delicious I ate right away and didn't look back sorry no pictures of this yummy Mexican food. My husband got the giant Chorizo and egg burrito ($8.25)that's large enough to share with cheese lettuce tomato beans eggs and chorizo but this is no ordinary burrito it's made with love and the red salsa if you like spice is chefs kiss. This time I got Chilaquiles green (12.95)and it was amazing again it could've been for two but once I started eating it was a wow. This place is a hidden gem. Must try you won't be disappointed by the service or the food. They have other breakfast and lunch options this location isn't open for dinner. read more

Great omelettes, skillets and pancakes. My only minor complaint would be about the hash browns, we ordered well done crispy and they weren't well done at all. In planning my trip to the area, I had scoped out this place as someplace I wanted to eat. Based on yelp, I tried to come here Saturday night for dinner. Yelp says the hours are until 10pm. Their website says 10pm. I get there, the place is dark and there is a handwritten sign that says they are open until 3pm. What the what? So I didn't get to try them. So disappointed! This place was rough. I ordered the burrito and had no prior knowledge or experience with this place. I just wanted to try something new and was in the mood for a unhealthy burrito. I think a lot of places rush with a burrito and think we need it fast. I would rather they take the extra two minutes to put it together properly. That being said, the cold stuff in the burrito was really cold and the cheese wasn't melted. It was just a bunch of cold cheese. I think a extra couple of minutes would have made this burrito a way better experience. regarding the pickled carrots. You need to take the skins off.
