I showed up after regular lunch hours, the drive thru line was almost to the road, and the cashier was one single touchscreen and no human manning it or any of the other registers. It took most customers about five minutes to figure out how the touchscreen worked, so the indoor line was basically at a standstill as well. Sent in a mobil order ($7). When I arrived I was told they never received the order. I said no sweat, I have the computer receipt with all the info you need, order #, items, payment, etc. Now get this - I'm told they can't give me my paid for order because I might have just made up the receipt! I'm a senior retired professional, nice car with a dog in the back. Just the type to forge a $7 receipt. A shouting match ensued (mostly my shouting in disbelief) with the person impersonating the Manager. He says I need to show him my bank statement. I guess I yelled loud enough because I eventually got my order (without the dipping sauces). Someone should train the employees on how to handle a screw up. A simple, "I'm sorry we messed up. Here's your order. Have good day!" would have changed this review from a one star to a 5. read more

Was a loyal customer for years now they lost my business.I went there with my sister 7/3/25 ordered two of the jr. Bacon cheeseburger meal deals and had to repeat myself numerous times then when we receive our order the food is cold and one burger unwrapped thrown in the bag. This is the second time in two months I was met with them screwing up orders or acting like jackasses.I love that it's fresh beef used but the shitty service which is unfortunately becoming a trend in Vermont leaves my household never being such businesses customers. Do better Vermont because otherwise I will consider giving NH my business instead. read more

My wife and I always stop in at this Wendy's while visiting Newport. They are always exceptionally kind and courteous and helpful during our visit. Normally, a young lady is always the one taking our order and usually present at the customer service window. She is always friendly and wonderful! Today, there was a young man whom I don't recall having ever seen during our visits. My order also consisted of a soda and a "frosty". While at the service window I gave this young man the payment along with the proper change and all seemed well. When he delivered our drinks, I asked him to do me a favor and take the plastic cap off of my Frosty. I believe he said " What" and I responded " Take the cap off of my Frosty". He made a remark which I did not hear and I ask "What?".. He responded " I'll do it if you say " Please". I said something to the affect " I believe I did when i asked".. Again, he said you have to say "Please" and you just cannot direct me to do thing for you or words to that affect".. i told this man that he had an attitude problem and I didn't understand his return comment however; another man heard us and looked out the window and I directed my comment to him saying " This man has an attitude problem".. then the man at the window closed the window in order that I could not communicate with the other man, which I believe to have been the manager. Normally, in a situation such as this, it's best to communicate with management, but I decide to leave the premises. My wife and I discussed this on the way home and I had this thought about the new requirement for some folks having to work a minimum of 80 hrs a month in order to retain go'vt EBT, etc. This rude young man was disheveled and unkempt and in laymans terms.. An axx hole ! I did not do anything out of the ordinary as a customer by my request nor was I rude to this man. It is my contention that he was just being whom he normally is and is pissed at the public for having to complete his 80 hrs a month. Will, I return to this Wendy's ? I will, becaue I know the reputation of the folks here and this will no be tolerated for long. read more

Vacationing in Vermont, one day my stomach wasn't feeling well. It had gotten dark, I thought a salad might make me feel better, and I've always been pleased with Wendy's salads. So we hit up the drive thru. The Parmesan Caesar salad was good, as expected. My boyfriend got the Pub burger, and he was amazed at how good it was. He said the quality reminded him of a sit-down restaurant burger. Wow! After eating in the car, I bopped inside to use the restroom. There were two single-person rooms. The one I went in was spacious and clean. My only regret is that it was nighttime and we couldn't look around outside. Looking at the map, this shopping center is right by the water. I wonder if there's a nice view of the lake nearby. read more

I ordered my food like i usually do through the app for carryout, asap pickup, i arrive 5 minutes after ordering. The lady at the front, an older skinny women, i dont remember her name but it started with an L, snapped at me that i HAVE to go to the register first because it wont go through if i dont, which completely defeats the purpose of mobile order. I then wait half an hour for my food, which the drink was wrong, she claimed it was a small but i ordered a medium, which sure enough when i go to check my order history in the app it says medium. She slammed the cup down and had a very rude attitude complaining about me correcting her on my order. She was very loud about her complaining the entire time i was there and it was the WORST experience i have ever had at that wendys, I am ashamed that the people there would let that happen, for a fast food place with so many awards you would think they would of paid more attention to how their employees act, if you can't act right in public dont have a job working with the public, its not an excuse to be rude to customers read more

The only Wendy's for over one hundred miles. It so nice to get a Wendy's burger knowing that it is a rarity in these parts. Like an oasis in the Vermont woods, this Wendy's hits the spot when you feel like you are so lost and far from home. Yey for Wendy's! read more

I have been going to this wendys for 16 years. MOST of the time, my sandwich is made incorrectly. 9/28/17 I ordered a burger w. mayo, lettuce and x pickles no cheese.. 3 toppings, that's all! This time the receipt was right, the sandwich maker got it wrong...I Drove 20 miles to home and it have everything including cheese that I'm allergic to. I have talked to management over the years and I have talked to corporate. How many times does a person have to complain? It keeps happening. My sandwich does get made correctly if a particular manager (that is familiar with my complaints) is standing right there to make sure the burger is right.....This is our go to restaurant. I have visited Wendy's all over the country and this store cant get it right. So we won't be going there any more! read more

Incredibly poor service. The wait to place an order is long, and the wait to get the order is longer. Watching the people behind the counter, it appears that there is no direction and that no one knows (or cares about) their job. As others mentioned, it's the only Wendy's in the area and one of only two fast food places in town, so they get business no matter how bad they are. McD's is right up the hill but Wendy's is a way better fastfood experience. The service is usally good and the facilities spotless.

One of the few Wendy's in the state. Always clean. Staff is very friendly. They have all of the major food promotions they advertise on TV. There is a seating area with large glass walls and a glass ceiling which is very cool. There is outdoor seating also. read more
