We went there this morning, 10/24/25. We drove an hour to get it. First thing they didn't open on time,2nd when people got inside, they had no food ready, said it would be at least an hour if not more. This St Johnsbury VT location was so dirty, and the staff was rude and they were dirty, they had old clothes on with dirty hoodies. When we were outside waiting to get in, they were sitting at a table doing nothing and someone, possibly one of the managers was standing outside smoking and on his phone instead of doing his job. We have never seen a low standard of service like this before. Never again. The only good thing I can say is we are probably lucky we didn't eat there; we may have got food poisoning. Had high hopes in spite of the horrible reviews. After asking around, the consensus seemed to be that the food was the standard fare, but the service was terrible. So we gave it a try. Here's the thing. "Service" includes putting the food together. The burritos would have been good if they had been put together correctly, and if they hadn't had guacamole smeared all over the outside of the burritos. It was a gross, disgusting mess. And a complete waste of money. I'm not sure if training is lacking or what the problem is at this place, but something needs to be done. I'm giving them one star only because I can't give less. I went in to order one thing, and only one person was in line ahead of me. We waited a few minutes before anyone showed up to take orders, and the lady first in line placed her order only for the person who took it to now go and make it too. I probably stood there 15 minutes without even speaking to anyone. Finally gave up and left, and there was a long line behind me. Being a local there are not a lot of fast food to choose from so Taco Bell it is . Over last 3 years it's hit and miss and when we saw the improvements of this location we got excited and came more often to support new owners , it is still hit and miss with the food unfortunately,last two times food was great :) for hubby and I . But yesterday Monday April 3 rd at 4:44pm we waited maybe 20 min for food which was not bad for this location . I've had my food not right many times here or it takes 30 min or more to get food etc But I have NEVER in all the years had my food come back have it look like it was made ahead of time and sat for hours before getting it ? the shells were soggy from the meat . I ordered the # 1 meal taco supremes and had no sour cream in any of the 3 tacos I got and the shells were smashed /cracked the meat juice leaked through the paper onto my pants and I looked at husband in car and said how can I even eat this ? I can't even pick it up ha ha . So I went in and was super nice to the young girl at counter cause I understand it's not her fault :) and maybe it was a tough day for who ever prepared my food :) I explained that my tacos were soggy , had no sour cream and were all broken and handed her my receipt and food showing what I purchased and what I got ,she said we will get you fresh ones and I said thank you so much . Went to bathroom to try and clean the stain my new sweat pants I just got and bathroom faucet is barely working it's not even attached to the sink so I did best I could with what I had to work with . Got my new order went out to car and they looked exactly the same but it looks like all they did was squirt some sour cream in them . I was shocked but I didn't want to make a big deal out of it ...cause I hate confrontation ,so I went in and said I'm sorry I'm not trying to be a pain and showed her the tacos and said I can't even pick them up so can I get a plate or a bowl ? She said sure and gave me a bowl but no fork or anything so I sent hubby in for a fork hahah . Was awful , I basically had a taco salad . lol I think the new owners are trying hard but I feel good management is definitely needed at all times with this location . Service is fast and good, I feel like a lot of the people who come to this place expect really good healthy tacos and be treated like a princess, when in reality it's a Taco Bell, not saying taco bell is bad, I love Taco Bell especially the Baja blast. I realize we are in a pandemic, but waiting 40 minutes for fast food is ridiculous, especially when my orders were not large. If I wait that long, I'd expect my orders to be correct. One order (of bean and cheese burritos) was completely wrong. I appreciate people working during a pandemic, but I'm incredibly dissatisfied with my experience here. Got screamed at today for asking for TACO SAUCE at the window. Loved going to Taco Bell and then they got new management. The manager just got done with a screaming fit directed at my wife. Their order took over 26min and they had to walk out the door because of an appointment they had to get to. Tried to get a refund and the screaming started. What happened to treating the customer nicely. Service stinks, food is subpar now (speaks a lot for Taco Bell quality), and the time it takes to get fast food is unacceptable. Will never darken the doors of this place again. Avoid at all costs for your own sanity and health! read more

I just want parents, specially mothers to be warned and aware that I along with my family (3 children) were accosted over the drive thru speaker by the manager on the evening of Aug. 14, 2022. MINUS MINUS MINUS DIRTY,DIRTY, DIRTY. The tables were so dirty when we went to sit down and in the one hour we were there no one came out to wipe them down. I walk with a cane and use O2 and in the handicap stall there is no hook to hang a purse, the toilet seat is hanging by a thread and the stall door latch is missing. You have to stick your finger in the hole to close it. Also, the exit door the door plate is sharp and sticking up. These are not things that just happened. The baseboard tile edging is filthy. There were no sweet n lows or some such sugar free packets and when I asked how the taco combo went from 500 cal. to 1000 the gal said, " I have no idea." This is lack of training. Kids work in this restaurant, be it they are nice and friendly but it takes wayyyy to long to get your food! Floors of the kitchen were nasty even with six kids working! This is the worst place I have ever been. I have given it multiple chances over the last year and every time it's still terrible. The people that work here couldn't get an order right if their life depended on it. I went one day about 6 months back and everyone in this establishment waiting for their orders was complaining of issues. The new manager and his wife are rude and condescending. Especially her. I even complained to main Taco Bell and was told it was a franchise nothing they can do other than send me some coupons. Are you stupid this is your brand and you can't do more. I stopped going I would rather drive to Lebanon Taco Bell than deal with this. This is a combination Taco Bell & KFC restaurants in St. Johnsbury, VT. I went there for the tacos.I usually order the same thing each time, which is three regular crispy beef tacos. I have always been satisfied except for this last visit. The taco shells were stale. One of the things I look forward to with your tacos is how light and crispy the taco shells are; these were hard and chewy. I was also dismayed at the meager portion of ingredients, specifically the beef and the cheese. I could literally count the tiny strands of cheese in each taco. It made me wonder if the management there instructed the crew to scrimp in order to save money and increase profits. I will more than likely eat at a Taco Bell in the future, but not this one. read more

The place was a mess! No one was friendly! Had to wait at least 5-10 mins for a straw since there was none at the soda machine. Then waited a good while for our food. Let me begin with this; if I could leave a lesser rating, it would definitely be this place... To start off with, My girlfriend and I used the drive thru to order a Chalupa Box, and a stuffed Nacho box. The service was very good. The man was very friendly, so no complaints about the service. A handful of lettuce and cheese, followed by what I thought might have been hamburger? Hard to tell since there was such a minute amount. Taste was salty; too salty. Didn't taste like any soft taco I've had. Then came the burrito. That was, eh, ok. Semi-edible. At least it tasted like a bean burrito. But when it came to the stars of the meal, the Chalupa and Nacho, another incredible disappointment! My girlfriends Stuffed Nacho was barely "stuft!" Just a mash of blandness, followed by some not so crunchy tortilla strips. My chalupa was not much better. Dry, tasteless, and no sauces? Even the drinks sucked. My girlfriends lemonade was like water, and the lid to my Baja Blast decided it too wasn't worth it, and spilled over me over, and over again. Worst taco bell /KFC I have ever been to. When I got my crunch wrap there was no meat. When my husban bit into his grilled stuff burrito the rice was crunchy witch made the burrito unedable. When I called to complain the management told me I was lieing. When I brought it back she told me I took out the meat. When I asked about the burrito she said that she likes crunchy rice and I should get use to it. I tried to get a corporate number she refused to give it to me and told me if I don't like the way she runs things maybe I should go to McDonalds. She didn't have a name tag on and when I asked what her name was she refused to give it to me and told her employees not to give it to me. The employees look as horrified as I was. Ordered a few simple things here- mashed potatoes, corn, a bean burrito with only beans and rice (fairly simple things). We pull out of the drive thru to find out we didnt get our corn. Not a big deal- we turned around and went thru again and the lady said she didn't charge us, which again is completely fair. I asked if I could have some corn, she gave me the price and we got to the window. This is where the issues came up- I asked for my receipt for the previous order (to make sure I had not been charged for the corn, which again, in my opinion, completely fair) and the lady said sure. The assistant manager, however, was fairly sassy and said she would have to grab it out of the trash (which is absolute crap- coming from two people who have worked multiple fast food jobs, you can ALWAYS re-print receipts from a history log on the register). We obviously didn't want a receipt from the trash, so I just drove away after paying for my corn. We open up the bean and rice burrito and found out it was a bean and onion burrito instead. Oh well- won't be coming back regardless. A receipt and a 2 dollar burrito aren't worth fighting with management over. Signed up on yelp solely to leave this review. I've been inside as well on multiple occasions and the other people who have reviewed are correct- the tables look like they are never cleaned even on their slowest days where you can see employees walking around and joking with each other. If I could give zero stars I would. Usually, "under new management" means there will be an improvement. That is far from the reality in this case. Consistantly, orders are either put together wrong, or more often, the persons working the front cash enter it completely wrong. The oven has been "broken" for WEEKS. The quality is inconsistent and the service is sub par even for a quick service restaurant. If there were another option close to my work that I could run to to grab a quick meal, I'd go there. It takes less than a minute to go from work to Taco Bell and most times I'm lucky if I make it back to work with more than 5 minutes to inhale my lunch. Doesn't matter if they are busy or not, between ordering (and correcting them as I order) to having to have things corrected after they bag my meal because they can't get their act together... every trip is a gamble if I'm going to actually be able to eat it after I get it, or if it will just get tossed in the fridge at work and forgotten. Do yourself a favor.... go ANYWHERE but here...a gas station hot dog or sandwich would be less of a gamble. read more

The employees looked like they could be the poster children of Vermont's heroin epidemic. Customer service was awful. The food was edible but not up to normal Taco Bell standards.
