Not sure why I keep ordering from Wendy's. Last three orders messed up. Missing or wrong items. The latest was a mobile order, paid for it and when I get there they tell me no chocolate frostys. Only can get vanilla. so I have a choice of taking the vanilla, or having to contact corporate to get a tefumd, which they won't do btw, and will only give you a "coupon" that can be used toward another purchase, which they will mess up of course. The manager does not even offer an apology. The time before this, I waited in the lobby for 20 minutes for my food, as they were busy. Then I discovered they never even started my order. I was told it would be another 20-30 minutes. I asked for a refund and the manager said they don't do that, I could either wait for my food or leave with nothing. Bad, bad service. read more

Is this place better yet? I go to the McDonald's or POP's on 127th if I want anything similar to Wendy's. The staff on Harlem has been absolutely TERRRRRRIBLE This is the first and maybe only review I'll ever write because hopefully something is done about the staff there... Otherwise many people I know along with myself will not be wasting our money there. From shutting the ice cream machine off an hour and a half before closing time to cold fries and burgers... I haven't had a single pleasant encounter in the drive-thru in about 10 visits there. Based on the reviews I'll never trust corporate and order online. Only reason I gave this place so many chances is because they're the only one close to my house. I've lost hope and haven't been there in well over 6 months. There's bugs going around. And the precautions needed to be taken aren't being taken by this place! I just got some food there on Wednesday before Thanksgiving. When I ate it, later that night I threw it all up. I had to go to the hospital it was that bad. The doctors told me it's a bug that gets picked up from surfaces and transferred into food when your hands aren't washed. THEY GAVE ME THIS BUG AND I COULDNT EVEN EAT THANKSGIVING FOOD THIS YEAR!!! Disappointed. It's like, what it's happening with this place. One of the best locations in my experience, but then today, a second time going trough the same. The food was not cooked to order. In fact it tasted like the two double burgers we ordered had been sitting done for a while and then sold to us. No tomatoes in the burgers. The ketchup barely there, same with the mustard. And then ended up having to add salt as the meat was tasteless. Before this, couple weeks ago, a similar experience with a chicken sandwich but much worse. The chicken was over cooked and totally dry and then cold. We also asked for a triple burger with no pickle or onions. Both left in. Not a big deal, but I'm sure you can do better. Several years ago, this Wendy's ranked as one of my favorites. Over the past year or so, this one has gone downhill, hard. Indoor dining has been closed for a while in the last year or so (I understand the challenges of hiring after post C-19). Have to go through drive through on my recent visits which has been slow, typically about 10-15 minutes. On 9/21 at ~5 PM, waited 19 minutes just to get to the ordering station. I asked the order taker how long would it take to place an order for 2 combo meals. He says "pull up" to the window. I asked if he can answer my question so that I can order and not lose my place in line with others behind me. He says more directly "PULL UP!" I thought doing that would have meant adding more delay and having to order at the payment window. SO i left and went to McDonald's a block away where my drive through order was completed in ~6 minutes. I called the Wendy's where I asked for the manager (same rude guy that I encountered answered with no customer service manners). Eventually spoke to the manager to report my experience. She told me that they were in "transition" and was not interested in my feedback if I would not come back to place the order. She said thanks for stopping by their store and hung up on me. I will give credit where credit is due! I went to this Wendy's at 10pm, on a Saturday evening, the night before Easter. Was greeted by the most pleasant young man, DeShawn via the drive thru. I am not saying I expected bad service by any means, but I certainly was not anticipating this quality, authentic, positive upbeat voice came thru that speaker- especially on a SATURDAY AT 10PM BEFORE EASTER. I was impressed by his positive attitude. Like- super impressed. He honestly made my evening. I don't think most people understand how far kindness goes. I think this young man has a great future ahead of him. That kind of attitude takes you places in life. I appreciate him and am thankful to have had the pleasure to meet him. Recently took advantage of their breakfast dollar sandwich promotion. The eggs were under cooked and runny which made the sandwich less than good. I ordered take out and took them home to firm up the egg portion in the microwave. Despite the problem they were still a great deal at $1.00. I suspect that they are not designed to be defective sandwiches. This Wendy's has a predominately Black staff which as we all no promotes inattentive sloppy performance. Be aware: Here is my unpleasant and humiliating experience ordering via mobile app. On Nov. 25, I went in the evening to Wendys located on 127th/Harlem in Palos Heights, IL to pick up my first order placed via Wendys application that I just downloaded and created my new account. I chose my burger and fries, completed order process via the app, paid using my credit card and followed the instructions to pick up my order from the "drive through" window. Upon reaching the window I explained that I placed my order via app, I paid for it, and that I would like to pick it up. I showed my order info by showing it on my phone. The lady called "Petty" or "Patti" was rude and shouted that they don't have mobile ordering system. When I asked to verify the location address she refused to confirm and begin to shout even more, humiliating me by saying that she won't give me free food ( like I tried to steal it). She continued in a very inappropriate manner so I asked for her name. She answered "Petty". She continued being rude, I just left, drove to the closest parking spot and called Wendys Customer Support as provided in the app: (888) 624-8140. She wasn't able to help, except the promise to notify the management and to reimburse for the order. I'm currently waiting to see how the management will handle this issue. Beautiful, new, clean, bright Wendy's. However I had a not so pleasant customer service experience. I tried ordering a 15$ gift card, and the cashier rang it up at 50$. I corrected the cashier, who made it seem like it was my fault, and continued to repeat that it sounded like I said 50$. Someone needs to teach her that "the customer is always right." For a few years after this place first opened, it was a great place to eat clean facility, friendly staff and fresh food. Not anymore. The last few years it's been all down hill. I gave hem many chances to improve and filled out many surveys pointing out deficiencies, to no avail. Today was the last time. Dined in. The smell of the place was off.
