Worst service ever, drive thru takes at least 30 min, line doesn't move. So expect to wait a while, we waited 30min for them to not even apologize for the wait, and to get home to realize they gave us the wrong food. TERRIBLE!!! read more

been stuck on the toilet all night after ordering two baconators and spicy nuggets 30 minutes before close. i bet they don't wash their hands. i usually go to wendys in a rush, why does this location do so poorly? painfully dissapointed. food was fine but it didnt take long after eating for my body to bug out. read more

The renovation to this Wendy's is modern and nice. The restaurant itself... dirty dining area, overflowing garbage cans, dirty food prep area. Service was horrible, all the employees were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. I ordered a small chili and broccoli and cheddar potato. When I opened the chili it was half full and looked like it exploded in the microwave. The potato had hard pieces of broccoli and halfway melted cheddar cheese. This Wendy's is amazing. I went to this one because the Wendy's in shorewood IL NEVER does what I ask when I want something from the freestyle machine. 90% of the time I have my daughter so it's really hard to get in and out of the car. So I had asked the employee over the speaker if they had a freestyle machine and she said "We don't but I'll be more than happy to get you whatever you want from there." I was completely in awe because I'm ALWAYS fighting with the shorewood one. Thank you Plainfield team for taking care of your customers! read more

Great food and I got chicken strip mealand my mom got 4 for 4 meal and my dad got chilli and our food was hot and the two Sprite was good

Ordered a salad and a baked potato. The lettuce was very old. The chicken tasted okay though. Reported quality to manager and he offered a replacement salad at my convenience. The baked potato was okay although looked and tasted like it had been sitting on the counter for awhile. Disappointing quality. read more

I really do not like this place. The only reason for 2 stars is because I like their frostys. Other than that, their food is pretty gross. The chicken is bland and never fresh. The fries are soggy and cold. One time I found a BONE in my chicken sandwich. I told an employee and all she did was offer me a free small frosty. She didn't even offer me a new sandwich! I generally don't complain about my food, but this crossed the line. I do not eat here anymore. read more

No one expects perfection when ordering from a fast food restaurant, but there are standards. We went to the remodeled 'new and improved' Wendy's, and I'm worried if they see this as an improvement. We had to pull ahead and wait for our fries. That was too bad considering they shorted us both fries. Also, we never got a receipt, we were never offered cream/sugar for the coffee and they forgot straws. Worst service ever. I mean it is only Wendy's so I don't expect much. Pulled into the drive through at 8:24PM on a Saturday night. Proceeded to sit there until 8:30PM without a sound coming out of the speaker. I wanted to continue to sit there to see how long it would take, but there were cars behind me. I felt bad for them so I pulled forward to find some stupid employee just leaning against the counter. He looked super busy (sarcasm). I went to Culver's next door. I almost went back to see how long I could sit in the drive thru, but I had places to be. Probably why I pulled in there to begin with. This is the absolute worst Wendy's I have ever been in. Unfortunately, my kids really like Wendy's (and, to be I honest, I do as well), so we keep going back as it's presumably quick and close to home. No more. Every time (and we're into double digits here) I have been in this place there has been something wrong with the order. Every. Single.Time. The place is not clean, even though recently remodeled, the employees seem to not care, and there doesn't seem to be any training at all. This lands at the feet of the manager, especially when Culver's is in the same lot and we've NEVER had an incorrect order or a feeling of incompetence on the part of the staff when we've gone there (also double digits). The lot is about to get a Slim Chickens, and that combination should spell the death of this Wendy's. On my most recent trip, I saw that they had a cod sandwich and so wanted to order that to be in observance of Lent. I waited to order because there was some kind of very loud argument (seemed to be a personal issue) happening between someone at the counter who appeared to have come in specifically for the argument and someone in the kitchen. Again - not unusual. When I go to Culver's it's all smiles. At this Wendy's I'm usually suspicious that there might be a drug deal going down - how do two places so close together draw different crowds?? So anyway, when it was time to order, I ordered the cod. The employee at the register asked what number that was. I told him there was no number, it was on a sign. He picked up the sign and said "what is this thing??" like he'd never seen it. Here's the deal. I live in a very Catholic area and it's Friday during Lent - and this employee had no idea what cod even is? We left and went to...you guessed it...Culver's. As we were leaving we heard something about how they're paid. That's the state of society today. You feel like you're owed something when you've done nothing. You don't like the job? Work your way out of it. But if you're not doing the job, a penny an hour is overpaid. Unfortunately, as in much of society, the attitude in this Wendy's seems to be that if you show up you've accomplished something. I'd suggest closing the place and starting over. read more

First time and last time here. I frequent Wendy's often closer to home but came here while shopping. Ordered 2 meals and a frosty. They didn't take off the onions as I asked (fine fine that happens), they forgot to give me my large fries and I had to remind them of my frosty. Of course didn't realize the lack of fries until we got home. Shame. read more

My family and I LOVE Wendy's!! However, the service at this location NEEDS improvement! Too many times I have left this drive though (North Plainfield, Rt 59), only to find out there are no straws, my order is incorrect or items are missing. I just left there and did not receive my chicken nuggets for my 16 month old. I'm certainly not going to drive back to get $0.99 nuggets! Step it up guys, please. read more

This Wendy's has been there as long as I can remember and have just as long been horribly rude and screwing everything up. I boycotted them for a long time but decided after many years to finally try them again. As with all my previous visits they were unfriendly and careless with me, the customer. They didn't give me a straw for my drink, forgot the cheese on my sandwich, barely gave me enough sauce to cover a quarter of my sandwich and put a hunk of lettuce so large on it you would have thought that was the main meal. This trip was a perfect reminder of why I never visit Wendy's. But hey, at least they're consistent! read more
