The first thing I noticed was how delicious the lemonade was. I have noticed Cane's lemonade at many locations is not as good as it used to be, having a very acidic and artificial taste to it. Similar to a powdered lemonade. This particular batch was outstanding and tasted like fresh squeezed lemons, just like the older formula I grew to love. Aside from the nostalgic taste of their lemonade, the food was great too. The fries and chicken were crispy and the coleslaw was super fresh. While we were eating, the counter clerk came over to make sure we were enjoying our meal. A few minutes later the manager, Lee followed up with us as well. He was super friendly and dedicated to making sure we had a good experience, even asking us where we were from. After our meal I headed to the restroom to wash my hands and I remarked to my family how clean the bathroom was. Often times you find the floors of fast food spots to be a bit greasy and there is usually an odor of old food present but this location was very clean and presentable. This was by far the best experience we have had at a fast food restaurant and the attention to customer satisfaction shown by staff and management was greatly appreciated! Although we don't live in New Iberia, we might have to make a trip to this location more often.

Not exactly cheap, but that's just about what lunch costs these days. There was a bit of a wait, but I'd rather wait a few extra minutes and get food that's fresh. The staff was aware of the wait and actually acknowledged it, apologizing in a genuine and friendly way. That kind of customer service goes a long way. Everything came out hot and tasted like it had just been made. The chicken was crunchy on the outside, tender inside, and the portions were generous. The fries were hot and crispy with that soft center you want. Even the sodas were mixed well and tasted great. After being on the road all morning, it really hit the spot. The price stung a little, but the food was fresh, the service was excellent, and overall it felt worth it.
