Haven't been in a wendy's for breakfast, so I wanted to go inside to figure out what I wanted so I didn't choke up the drive-thru. Inside, the menus are still on lunch, there's an associate scraping down the chili container and not paying attention to the front. I start to pull up the menu on my phone when the owner runs up to the register and angerly tells me that the dining room isn't open and I need to use the drive-thru. There's no signage stating this, door was open when I got in, but I shrug it off and head to my car. So I go through the menu on my phone and decide I'll get the breakfast meal deal. They got a breakfast deal on their main signage and a small sign below the speaker, so I figured some potato wedges, coffee, and an egg on an English muffin for 4 bucks is fine. I go through the drive-thru and the owner barks out a "what do you want?". I ask for the breakfast deal, she barks out "We don't do that anymore". I mention the signage stating it's still going on, and she blows me off, repeating that it's no longer something that they do. thrown off-course, I quickly fumble through the menu while cars start to pile behind me. I decide on the french toast stick meal deal rapidly, then pull around. I am met by the same owner, who asks for payment. I produce a $20 dollar bill, and this is enough to send her into a rage. she storms off, and after a few minutes comes back with a till which she shoves into the drawer. She takes my cash, hands me change, throws the bag at me, and storms away from the window. Needless to say, this whole situation was off-putting. I'm willing to write things off, so long as the food's at least decently cooked The potato wedged are incinerated. dark brown but nothing but crispy thin wedges. The french toast sticks were cold but weirdly oily, and the coffee was bitter and black despite me asking for milk and splenda. I suspect that this person was having a bad day, lot of people called out and she was trying to deal with a lot of stuff on her plate. However, this behavior is unacceptable unless the venue specifically calls for the person to be rude. Even so, I expect the food to be reasonably edible. I generally enjoy Wendy's as a fast food chain, for the rare instances that I decide to go. However, this location is woefully poor in it's service, execution, and demeanor. It's more than fitting to get a 1-star, and I would state strongly to go to someplace else. read more

The food is usually okay. The prices are consistent. They are usually out of some utensil or condiment, but that isn't a big deal. The service is sometimes rather slow. One guy there gives me some sanitary concerns. Stopped in here for something to bring home for lunch. I ordered a Dave's double meal. The fries were ok, but still somewhat edible, but the burger, I took one bite and it was the worse tasting burger I've ever gotten from any fast food place (and that's saying a lot). Let's start with the positives. Food is good and made as ordered. They have a nice seating area with a fireplace kind of vibe with soft casual chairs, like a small living room. Booths are comfy. High-top tables are also an option. That being said.... I really don't like to give poor reviews but I am doing so in hopes that the franchise owner will see this as there are things that would be detrimental to this business. We weren't sure if they were open since the big sign wasn't illuminated. We noticed a car at the drive-thru so we stopped to eat. I walk in the door and up to the counter where orders are placed. The cashier is sitting on the counter behind the register so engrossed with his cell phone that he had no idea we were standing there. I waited for a bit thinking that perhaps the other employees that saw us would alert him that customers are waiting for him to notice us. No such luck. In their defense, they were zipping around trying to get drive-through orders out. The drive-thru cashier was running orders out while 2 employees are seated at around 5:45 pm - the cashier inside and an employee that appeared to be on break at a table in the restaurant. This is our first minute or two standing here. I finally started talking about a new menu item and the cashier jumped up and came to the counter. No greeting or smile. We place our order. While waiting, I go to get a beverage. There is no ice in the machine so we asked the cashier to get us some ice. Back to the beverage machine, I notice the mat in front of it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in awhile. Lots of sticky spills. Back at the counter while waiting on my food, I'm looking around and can't believe how dirty some of the areas are. The countertop where we were waiting looked like it hadn't been wiped down all day. Sticky beverage rings all over, smudges. From my vantage point I see a table that hadn't been cleared/ cleaned despite their being no customers inside. On the floor there were straw wrappers, random French fries, a cup lid. We went to sit and saw another bench table that had trash on it. The next one looked clean until I went to sit down. Someone had discarded the packaging for a gift card in the seat. It is disconcerting that the restaurant would be so dirty when you have an employee obviously on duty that is sitting around doing stuff on their phone. I worked at Wendy's as a teenager, as well as other fast food chains), and no one sat down unless everything was cleaned up and done. Besides the lack of cleanliness, the drive-thru could have used some help if the front wasn't busy. The parking lot reflected the inside, too. Trash and food scattered throughout. It's unconscionable that a restaurant this new is not being cared for by the employees. I hope some of the employees can get re-trained on keeping the restaurant clean. I will stick with drive-thru if I'm craving Wendy's. read more

Took about 10 mins to order (some Uber driver kept asking for all the little things the person who ordered it was too lazy to go get themselves) my fries were cold (thought the "new" fries were supposed to be hot) the manager went out for a cigarette rather than make sure our orders were right. I asked for no mayo sub mustard and I got mayo...ordered a biggie bag with spicy nuggets, got regular with no sauces (we asked for sweet and sour and bbq) like look I understand corporations pay you like shit but come on. Finally there is Wendy's in Vernon. It is right next to the Taco Bell. Store looks neat and clean. I went for my usual Wendy's favorites. Spicy chicken sandwich is my top favorite here. I also went for the Dave's Triple. When there is Triple, why would I go for single of double ;) Generally I don't take salads from fast food places. But today I took southwest avacado salad. I think that was a bad idea. Salad doesn't taste anywhere close to a restaurant quality salad. Plus the avacado didn't taste fresh. They have free WiFi. read more

Rude staff, completely got order wrong and didn't even give me the burgers which were the main part of the order. Staff acted like it was an inconvenience to actually get the food I ordered. Didn't apologize and threw the bag at me. Was the only one in the drive through, yet it took forever to take my order because everyone was on a smoke break. Restaurant was filthy, watched staff go back in after smoking and not wash their hands, staff is swearing up a storm while I'm sitting in the car waiting on my order with my young children. OK 5 - FIVE - times I have given this place a chance and been horribly disappointed! I can only conclude that the franchisee has his own ideas about what should be on a Wendy's menu and I cannot believe that the corporate office has allowed him to continue. 1) They NEVER have plain Coca Cola. How can you post on your sign that you have "Coke Freestyle" But never have plain Coke? This has happened to me 5 times so I assume they don't actually have it. 2) Same thing for Frostys. They NEVER have Frostys. WTH? 3) They never have baked potatoes. 4) I made the mistake of ordering thru the app. Prepaid and went to get my food. OOPS! No Coke. No Frosty. No baked potatoes. BUT they "couldn't" refund me so I was expected to accept fries, a cookie and a juice. I refused and left and started a month long campaign to get a refund. I had to take it to their corporate offices who ended up giving it to the regional corporate and THEY got the Franchisee to contact me. I had to go to the location and was handed cash. If there's a problem with your app order at Burger King you push a button and it's fixed. Stick with Burger King. The next closest Wendy's is 10 minutes down the highway and well worth the drive. Don't go the the Vernon location for anything other than a burger and fries-and NEVER pre-pay! Reading other reviews I see that the staff is worth a mention. At one point during Covid I recall thinking the staff looked like high schoolers and men on prison work release. The men were mean to the younger staff in front of customers. And mean to the customers too. Masks half off... ugh. If you had to park and wait an angry man would come out to your car, throw your food in your window and refuse to wait for you to check it for accuracy. Just a nightmare. read more

I told them that made no sense because the coupon said I could order ANY chicken sandwich and get my free fries and drink. There was nothing in the coupon's fine print against the sandwich I was going to order. All these jerks want is your money, not your patronage. The food is never ready when you pull up to the window and you are asked to pull ahead every single time, and get left waiting up to 20 minutes in your car for your order. The employees have no sense of urgency. At night, there are a bunch of kids in there just fooling around and don't care about speed or service or how long the customer is left waiting. FRANCHISE OWNER PLEASE READ!! Let me just say that Wendy's is my favorite fast food restaurant. When I heard they were building one near me, I was really looking forward to going. My husband and I went for the first time a couple of weeks ago. First impression, the place was a disaster. There were dirty tables, napkins and food on the floor, garbages were full, and about 8 workers in front and behind the counter doing nothing but chatting with each other. It took a few minutes before the cashier finally asked us what we wanted to eat. She was pleasant though. We sat at the table near the fireplace while we waited for our order. The fireplace tile surround was smudged with some kind of food (I hope), so that took away from the beauty of it. I ordered the spicy chicken meal with baked potato. They ran out of baked potatoes. I would've had to wait another 10 minutes for a potato so I got fries instead. It was 4pm, not midnight, so they should have been prepared and stocked for dinner time. We were the only ones eating in the dining area, the drive thru wasn't busy, and there were two people in line, so they weren't at all busy. There were no more ketchup cups so we had to use the drink lids for ketchup. The soda/condiment/utensil area was filthy with spilled ketchup, spilled soda, and discarded napkins. I couldn't believe that workers were walking by the mess and stepping over stuff on the floor. They weren't doing anything! To add insult to injury, the fries and chicken tasted like it was fried in old oil and both of us had stomach aches when we got home. I REALLY hope the franchise owner reads my review and other reviews saying the same things about this place. It's a shame that this newly built place is dirtier than older Wendy's locations. I'll drive further away from home because I don't trust the food or cleanliness of this one. The owner needs to stop in unannounced so they really know how poorly this place is being managed. This has to be the worse fast food restaurant I have ever been in. After 20 minutes of waiting for our food we asked for a refund. The manager and crew need to have corporate come in and train them all We ordered (2) #9. The person making up the trays had to open the sandwiches cause she had no clue what was what. She would place fries on tray and I am sure they got cold by the time she figured out what sandwich went with them. When people who came after us started getting served we asked for a refund.
