Texa Hold'em Burger with truffle fries

After a less-than-ideal first visit in March, the GM (Jordan) reached out to make things right-- they absolutely did. I came back today with a friend, and the experience was a 10/10. The steak and cheese dip and the shrimp appetizers were delicious. For entrees, the Texas Hold 'Em burger with truffle fries was spot on, and my friend enjoyed her mac&cheese plate w/chicken. (LARGE portions btw) And the Sangria? Perfect! It had the right amount of everything Lastly, the cheesecake brûlée, that I took home, was also amazing! Huge shoutout to the management and staff for the amazing hospitality. They definitely proved what their real standard is. I WILL be back!

My girlfriend went here for drinks . She enjoyed the cocktails so I decided to visit and have cocktails and food. We sat in the bar area which was quite spacious our waitress was Mandy. Her service was excellent and she's an awesome mixologist. I notice that all the servers were friendly and cordial to one another. I ordered the grilled blackened chicken wrap but I excluded the bacon and had onions rings. Omg!! Their onions rings are the best I've ever had. They are huge and you get about 4 or 5 trust me that's enough. My girlfriend had the calamari with onion ring. There like a meal by themselves. The ambiance is warm and cozy. Its very spacious and they have outside seating as well along with many large screen televisions. I'm looking forward to returning to Artisanal Burger Company and try a burger as they look delicious. When your in Manchester CT make it your business to stop in and enjoy great cocktails and delicious food and service. They have different specials daily. To all my Yelpers let's continue to eat our way through the world #foodie4life.

Ambiance is casual American fare. There's indoor dining in the main restaurant, lounge dining with plenty of TVs for sports and outdoor patio dining during nice weather. The grass fed cheeseburger was cooked as ordered but lacked flavor. Seasoning would've been nice and made it more elevated. The coleslaw was dry but had good flavor; more dressing would've made it great. The French dipped grilled cheese has shaved steak and provolone cheese and it was served with delicious au jus French onion soup. The soup definitely made the dish delicious! It was served on sourdough bread so it held up well when dipped. Onion rings were huge, crispy and tasty. I'd get this dish again. Service was okay. The bartender was our server and she was responsible for the lounge and patio. If there were more servers I'm sure service would've better. Great place to hang out but food doesn't blow me away. Great for groups and drinking.

ABC never disappoints me, I absolutely love fried pickles and the chipotle ranch sauce that goes is sog goo, The Americana burger is really good too especially with a fried egg added. Tried the Carne Asada tacos a few times and I'm becoming a huge fan of them, Also Tried the elote fries last night VERY good. Mocktails are good depending on who makes them I've noticed

    Return of the Mac Burger

I visited Artisanal Burger Company for the first time in a couple years. While the service was still great, unfortunately the quality of the food has definitely gone down. I got the new return of the Mac burger and while the patty itself was good, the cheese on top reminded me of spray nacho cheese, and the fried Mac and cheese was very dry and tasted old. Many of my friends felt similarly disappointed about their burgers, though the milkshakes were delicious.

Great tv selection in the bar fries and sweet fries great, onion rings OK, roasted peppers awesome ! Burgers were really good !

If I had posted a review after i went a few weeks ago, it likely would have been higher but my recent visit wasn't as good so I averaged it to 4. Staff is always friendly - last time I thought the fried food wasn't as good as previous visits, maybe they were busy and didn't want for the fryer to get hot enough. The 5 oz burger is one of the BEST in the area - better than Plan B or Max in my opinion. Always something to get here and tons to watch on TV - done get a little noisy in the bar but you can always sit out side and in the dining room so everyone can be accommodated :)

I've been here tons of times over the years and always have a solid experience. They have a fully stocked bar w TVs for all the games. They have plenty of seating for large parties. They have patio seating for nice days. Every burger / sandwich I've ever had here has been great! They always have a nice rotating draft list of local beers. Decent bourbon / whiskey selection. Nothing too unique but nice variety for a burger joint. The pretzel is HUGE. Cooked perfectly. We also had sliders to start and they were good too. My pastrami Reuben was full of flavor as well. Service is always great here. Our waitress helped by making recommendations and let me try a couple beers before making a decision. Pricing is fair but food is always consistent. Parking is plentiful, and it's conveniently located near all the shopping you'd need in Manchester. I will continue to visit for years to come.

Had the best meal today! The burger was so juicy and had those yummy char bits to it, the French onion soup was phenomenal. I also had Tinga tacos and the flavor on the meat was succulent! My kids had the Mac and then added buffalo to the tenders. We ended with Oreo milkshake which was HUGE!!!

Mushroom swiss burger with truffle fries
    Kevin D.

Few years gone by, reviews are mixed still. Give them another try because I have yet to learn my lesson. Get a mushroom swiss burger, upgrade to truffle fries, get a grilled cheese hot dog because it sounds good, and a blackened fish taco because why not. We also got a french onion soup, because beef stock with onions with a healthy glob of cheese on top sounded good. The french onion soup had a good flavor to it. not so much onion, more of just beef stock. the cheese on top was pretty good as well. The rest kind of fell flat. The hot dog was a good quality hot dog, I appreciate the quality and that they split and grilled the hot dog to get that caramelization on the inside of the hot dog. but the bun was way too big, so you would get more bread than hot dog. Wouldn't call it a grilled cheese dog but more a cheese dog, but clever naming makes for better sales I guess. The blackened fish taco smelled heavily of fish. it was nowhere near fresh so we immediately sent that back. The hamburger had no flavor other than ground beef. there was no seasoning, the swiss and the mushrooms were on the burger but provided no flavor. Every bite on the pallet was a little resistance from the bun, then just straight up hamburger meat. The truffle fries were cooked well, but had no truffle flavor. just parmesan cheese and that was it. Not bad, but not great either. After all this time, I still find this location lacking. The saddest part is that they do try. They grill their buns, they use a good quality bun, they do a proper sear of the burger, the toppings are in a decent ratio vs the rest of the burger. But then they make these fundamental mistakes like not seasoning their burger that just makes the entire dish one note and disappointing. I've also had a properly seasoned burger from them before years ago, and when they execute it's a very solid burger. In a couple more years if they are still around I may forget that I'm not a fan of this place and try again. It's still way too spotty to recommend though

Situated in The Promenade Shops at Evergreen Walk, Burtons Grill offers a bar, a spacious dining room, a seasonal patio, and a space suited for large groups. My friends wanted to take me out for my birthday and asked where I'd like to go. I chose this spot because I'd heard so many good things about it. Since the weather was pleasant in October, we decided to sit outside. For starters, we shared a rustic bread roll served with pesto, herb, and garlic butter, and olive tapenade. In my opinion, the olive tapenade really stole the show, giving the bread a bold flavor. The bread itself was soft, warm, and utterly delicious. We also tried the signature wings coated in maple sriracha and the Memphis dry rub wings. Although I couldn't distinctly taste the maple or sriracha, the wings were still packed with flavor and perfectly seasoned. We also ordered the Spinach and Artichoke Dip, which was rich with spinach, artichoke hearts, parmesan, tomato-jalapeño relish, and served with tortilla chips. It was genuinely tasty. For my main course, I went with the Steak Frites, featuring a charred flatiron steak served with béarnaise sauce and Parmesan-truffle fries. The steak was tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. The truffle fries were crispy and well-seasoned, and the truffle flavor really made them stand out. It was a simple yet satisfying dish. My friends chose the crispy fish sandwich, comprising fried haddock, pickled red onions, pickles, tartar sauce, all nestled in a brioche bun with a side of French fries. Another friend ordered the general Tso bowl, which included braised chicken glazed with general Tso sauce, along with charred broccoli, a rice-and-quinoa blend, julienned vegetables, toasted almonds, scallions, cilantro, sesame seeds, and ginger aioli. Both of them said their meals were fantastic. Our server was friendly, lively, and attentive throughout the meal. I definitely plan on returning to try more items from the menu.

We got hamachi crudo and I don't know if the supplier of fruit is in cahoots with la Croix but I've never had a slice of citrus taste so bland. The dish was in desperate need of some acidity. Foie was great, I think the only plate aside from the halibut that didn't need any tweaking. We also got the pour over and over as our first drink -- I am fascinated how a cocktail can be both an espresso martini and not at the same time. I wanted to love it, then I saw it and wanted to hate it - then was left feeling perplexed and intrigued by the experience. I think that's a good way to describe the evening, perplexing and intriguing and I'm not sure how to feel but I do not think I will be back for anything other than cocktails because it is frankly a waste of time and money. The place itself is pretty and very Instagramable. The service was fine. You have to put in your entire order at once because that's what the chef prefers which feels a tad pretentious to me -- kind of the vibe of the whole place. Two key words as a takeaway: overpriced and underwhelming.

It's decent food but not the greatest. I get it, it's fine dining but not all the flavors were there. Three of us paid almost $800, so, yes, I was expecting to be blown away with my tastebuds in overdrive but my tastebuds were underwhelmed. Started off with canapés: east coast oysters (green grape granita); could've used sprinkle of salt. Beef tartar (green garlic kimchi aioli, lime, mint, anchovy breadcrumbs); needed more salt, very bland with little flavor & carrot veloute (coconut milk, red curry, cilantro, peanuts), very delicious and flavorful. 1st course: Hamachi Crudo (celery, sorrel, green apple), needed salt. 2nd course: Foie Gras Torchon (black mission fig, five spice, brioche bun). Brioche was extremely dry and cold, not buttery and soft like a brioche should be. 3rd course: Mackerel (thompcord grape, lardo, smoked yogurt); extremely fishy and unpleasant. Grapes were sweet and delicious and smoked yogurt and lardo didn't contribute anything great. 4th course: Chestnut Tortellini (browned sage butter) was great! 5th course: Dry Aged Rohan Duck Presse (beet, huckleberry, port jus) was underwhelming. Breast was cooked to right temperature but skin was super fatty and soggy. As an avid duck eater, I think a crispy skin and more seasoning in the actually meat would've been nice. It needed salt for sure to enhance the flavors but the roasted and pickled beets were delicious. The port just didn't do much for flavor and huckleberry was delicious and could've used more of it. 6th course: A5 Wagyu Ribeye (roasted daikon, black garlic bordelaise, hen of woods) very delicious in every aspect. The black garlic bordelaise brought this entire dish together with its incredible flavor! I wish the bordelaise was served with the duck as well! 7th course: Foie Gras Ice Cream & Apple Tarte. Interesting ice cream flavor by itself but eaten with the apple tarte it worked well. The tarte had crispy bits of caramel that added great texture and flavor. Ambiance is beautiful on the 20th floor overlooking Hartford. I'm sure it's beautiful during sunset. Again, I wish I was blown away like others have been. Maybe my expectations are too high, I'm not sure. I'm neutral as I am unsure if I would recommend this establishment. I do know that I wouldn't return.
