So, I decided to take my dear son to Gringtinos to eat some empanadas, because this Latin-ish restaurant has several different varieties on the menu. We sat down, looked at the menu, and my son wanted a cheeseburger, instead. Oh, kids! You gotta love them, right? (Right?) Luckily, Gringtinos has a kids menu that includes a cheeseburger, as well as a quesadilla and boneless wings. My son said that the cheeseburger was the best that he's had in a long time, so there you go. If you want a great kids' cheeseburger, visit Gringtinos. I was there for empanadas, so I got us a few: barbacoa, chicken, ground filet and street corn. We loved all of them, but the ground filet was probably our favorite (it was basically ground beef). We also ordered the yucca fries, which are served with white queso. They were like regular potato fries, but more earthy and dense. One order can feed two or three people -- they're very filling, with an interesting texture. I'm glad I ordered them. The service was OK, but we had to ask for plates, even though the server saw us dripping empanada juice all over our napkins. (It's like, hello! Yes, plates would be good. Bring us plates.) I'm also not a fan of servers not writing down my order, and instead, trying to memorize everything I say. I'm not impressed! It makes me stressed! Please, for the love of everything that's holy, just write down my order. It's truly OK to write things down. I promise. The construction around Gringtinos is murder, but don't fret. There is parking in the back, off of a gravel road. Once you park, enter through the back and you're good to go.

Aside from the bar, the restaurant wasn't busy. The service was lackluster and inattentive. We…read morewanted to try it because of the reviews praising the food. That was now our experience. We usually prefer to eat in the bar to avoid some of the crowds that fill the regular dining room areas, to check out any of the sporting scene that might be on one of their TVs, and the service typically seems pretty prompt. Mark S was very efficient for us today. Appreciate their happy hour offerings [Monday-Thursday 3:00-5:30] of half off appetizers and $3 off various beverages. Today we shared the Bru Fries (regularly $9), Soft Pretzels (regularly $12), and the Triple Dip (regularly $15). If you like your fries with a dark natural cut and a mix of crunchy and soft, these nail it. They come with House Ketchup (REALLY sweet), Black Pepper Mayo, House Chipotle BBQ Sauce and are a pretty decent value at half price. The pretzels are OK. I'm not convinced they are made in-house, but they're fine. They come as an order of 3 plump sticks with a beer cheese, which seems more like a basic nacho cheese, and a spicy mustard that is pretty good if you like mustard with just a little something extra. Not sure they're a must order for future visits, but they're not a horrible deal at $6. Might ask for the mustard with other menu items. The Triple Dip has long been our go-to, although they substituted our favorite option of the dips for a lesser option. It used to come with a goat cheese, which was awesome, but it has been replaced by a pimento cheese dip that is OK. It still includes solid dip options of hummus and guacamole with grilled naan bread and onion straws. I would trade the pimento cheese and onion straws to get the goat cheese back. Overall, still enjoy the environment, service and food and find the happy hour offerings to be a very good value. Just wish they would bring the goat cheese back and improve the flavor of their beer cheese option.

I wanted something simple so I just ordered the chicken fingers combo with fries. The menu is very extensive with burgers, sandwiches, and entrees as well. It was very fresh and tasted like pure heaven. The Den by FoxGardin is a great choice of food at Sun King Carmel if you want something simple,so I would highly recommend it to everyone.

The BBQ poutine fries were so big on the tray that I felt a little ostentatious as I was carrying the tray back to my table. It felt like all of the food on my tray surely should have been going to a family. But no: All of these BBQ poutine fries were just for one gluttonous person (me). Every so often, I would get an enormous fry that was way bigger than the others. It was more like a steak fry! It was like a little baked potato. It was nice to have that variety in the appetizer (which I was treating like an entree because, again, I was eating this giant appetizer by myself without shame). One of my children opted to get the kids meal here, which is the mac & cheese with a side (he chose fries). The mac & cheese is cavatappi pasta, so it's that pleasing curly texture that kids love (my kid loved it). The Den by FoxGardin is located inside Sun King Food Hall, and it's one of the food options you have here. If you are looking for pub food, comfort food, or just plain good food, you can't go wrong with this place.

You order at a counter and they call your name for pick up. They have a small seating area. There are four 4 top tables. There is one 6 top table. The tenderloin sandwich was large. You can get a large sandwich for $10.95 or an extra large for $13.95. They have over 20 different condiments to add to your sandwich. For sides, they have french fries, onion rings, mac & cheese, baked beans, and chips. They are priced separately. They serve Coke products, which we really like! Our tenderloin sandwich was served hot and fresh. We got it with lettuce, tomato, pickle, and onions. They have a variety of sauces you can add as well. Since the seating area is small, my wife snagged us a table while I went to the counter to order. This was probably our mistake. Our order was priced incorrectly in that we only got the tenderloin Tuesday discount on one of the tenderloin sandwiches. We probably both should have gone to the counter and ordered separately. We got sauces on the side and my wife got the ranch and I got the fiery ranch. However, when we picked up our bag at the counter, my sauce was not included, although it was on the printout of our ticket. So, technically you could say both our order and our bill were incorrect Although the bill, you could say, was also our fault since we did not order separately. That being said, we have gone to other establishments on Tenderloin Tuesday and had one bill and we both received the discount. The tenderloin sandwich was OK and fairly priced given market conditions. Would we return? If we were on the far east side of Carmel, we would stop in again. However, we would not drive all the way here from the far west side of Carmel just for the tenderloin sandwich. If you are near their location, stop by and give them a try. They were definitely busy and the staff was friendly.
