I wanted something simple so I just ordered the chicken fingers combo with fries. The menu is very extensive with burgers, sandwiches, and entrees as well. My order was done fresh to order and took about 10-12 minutes. The gentleman were very helpful and professional. The chicken fingers were huge and I was given a hefty portion of French fries. The BBQ poutine fries were delicious. They were served on a big sheet tray -- just stacked there in all their saucy, smoky, salty gloriousness. The BBQ poutine fries were so big on the tray that I felt a little ostentatious as I was carrying the tray back to my table. It felt like all of the food on my tray surely should have been going to a family. But no: All of these BBQ poutine fries were just for one gluttonous person (me). Every so often, I would get an enormous fry that was way bigger than the others. It was more like a steak fry! It was like a little baked potato. It was nice to have that variety in the appetizer (which I was treating like an entree because, again, I was eating this giant appetizer by myself without shame). One of my children opted to get the kids meal here, which is the mac & cheese with a side (he chose fries). The mac & cheese is cavatappi pasta, so it's that pleasing curly texture that kids love (my kid loved it). The family stopped here for a late evening meal and were surprised at how large the sandwiches were and everyone was pleased with their food. Enjoyed the fish n chips, buffalo chicken and tenders. Being from Nashville we decided to try the Nashville hot sandwich. It was close, not quite right but still tasty. For it to be Nashville it should be oil and cayenne with no trace of Buffalo. Its a stand at the Sun King Food Hall. Very busy and long waits for every food stall when we went on Saturday evening (perfect weather on Sept evening), though was not a queue at all for any food stall on a Sunday. My kids wanted mac and cheese, and were asking for it all day and this place had it!. Well the wait was excruciating long - as the queue did not move much, but the small staff of three were busy prepping orders in the small kitchen space. I think they'll be better served by a kiosk ordering system to avoid hungry and annoyed customers. The food was good though and obviously cooked to order. We ordered kids cheeseburger which came with a ton of fries and mac and a side of mac n cheese. M&C was apparently so good that I actually went back in line to order another one. This time the wait was not as bad and mac n cheese was relatively fast - I made sure to tell the staff that I ordered a mac n cheese so they could get cookin on it before the ticket as the staff does each ticket in order. Perhaps if the staff communicates with each other better - they'd have quicker service as well. Other customers complained about the wait as well while we were in queue. The fried items that came out looked really good coming out - though I did not order them. Every menu item was served on an aluminum oven tray - which makes presentation look impressive. read more

I gotta admit that when you come here, and you see this place...your expectations drop through the floor. However, after you get and taste your food it all changes. For a small little hole in the wall the size of a food truck, they actually make really good food! It is quick, it is tasty, and you get a lot for what you paid for. If only the other food vendors at Sun King were this good, the variety would be awesome, but right now this is my only go-to when going to Sun King. Highly recommend the Pulled Pork Poutine Fries. While the pulled pork is perfectly fine but not amazing, the fries are stellar..and when you combine everything else together...they are phenomenal...and you get a metric ton of it. Share! read more

This place was fire. It's located inside of Sun King which is a very nice establishment. The area in downtown Carmel is very nice and has lots of things for all ages. The food came out very quickly and the staff was incredibly nice. The fries had a ton of flavorful and great value for the price. There was a ton of food. The sandwich was crispy and flavorful. The pictures appear to be misleading as I believe, if we were told correctly, you'll wait in line to place an order at a counter and then maybe sit down in the Sun King area?? Located on the first floor inside Sun King Brewery distillery food hall. Free street parking and next to the Monon Trail. Hall is open to all ages but must be 21+ to enjoy alcohol. I wish this place was open for lunch all during the week. Hours vary as it is housed within Sun King, and therefore lunch is only available Thurs/Friday and the weekends. They have a good selection and with their main location FoxGardin getting voted as top 100 on Yelp recently this was a must try! I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich. It came with the fixins of the buffalo chicken sandwich...they forgot the blue cheese and the chicken I'm pretty positive wasn't buffalo it was the Nashville hot chicken. All around a messed up order but fried chicken is fried chicken so not complaints here. It was messy and delicious and everything my mouth asked for. The fries were fresh, they tasted like they were just cut and such a potato flav. You know, as opposed to the frozen ones - I don't fry discriminate. The poutine was a HUGE portion and ah-mazing. So this is located inside a brewery/beer joint with several other eateries. The service was very very slow as unfortunately the poor gentleman working was a one man show and he was slammed. The food was worth the wait and once you did get to order it was cooked and served fairly quickly. The sandwiches were huge and the sides of a very good proportion too. Go right upon entering, next to Mexican place in the corner. You order at the counter, they give you a buzzer, and you pick food up from the top of the counter once your buzzer rings. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and fries....and I was blown away. I feel like these are items that are pretty hard to mess up, but you also don't typically get something that rocks your world. The fries were excellent, the bun was toasted to perfection, the flavor of the pork was delicious, and the Foxy Sauce I had on the side added the exact amount of spice I was looking for. The Den (inside Sunking) might have the best chicken tenders in Indy. Seriously. The "strips"seem expensive (2.75 ea) until you find out that they're probably 1/2 an entire breast, sliced thin. Three adults shared five strips, and it was more than enough. Ours were cooked to order- breaded in seasoning my husband likened to "Long John Silvers, but better." The chips are reminiscent of state fair potatoes- spiralized thin and super good. We aren't on the north side often, but I'll probably dream of these chicken strips for weeks. read more

Pretty good food with just a twist on spices from what you might expect. I went with a fried chicken special on a Sunday which came with 2 pcs of chicken, fries, and a "mac" and cheese side. I also picked up a malt vinegar slaw to go with my meal. My wife went with the Carmel Tenderloin slider. The slider is just that: one of a variety of options for mini sandwiches and hers contained a tenderloin with a small garden of veggies on it. She thought it was pretty good. The chicken was tender and moist and had an unusual breading that was quite tasty, with bits of rosemary seasoning in the mix. The Mac and Cheese was made with the spiraled rotini pasta and had a spiced flavor that was good, but I couldn't place a name to the alteration. The cheese flavor was definitely secondary to the spices. And the slaw definitely was unique due to the malt vinegar flavor of the slaw. I like malt vinegar, but if you are a fan of creamy slaw, this may not be for you. If you like your slaw sweet, this may not be for you. I applaud that the kitchen tries to give the customer something out of the ordinary. What knocks the star off is that even though I arrived just after opening on Sunday, they were out of all the barbecue options (pulled pork, ribs, and bbq sliders) due to a rush on Saturday night that slammed them. I get it that it takes a long time to make ribs and BBQ, but you it is your business to anticipate plans for high demand. I'm glad you created a special with the fried chicken, but I'm guessing it was going to be a long day for the guy behind the counter who had to tell each customer that there wasn't any bbq. Another high quality option by Jake & Toby and the team at FoxGardin! I was so excited to hear that they were filling the last opening at the food hall inside Sun King Spirits! I opted for 2 sliders and fries. The sliders are a la carte so mix and match! I went for the pulled pork and Carmel Tenderloin. They were both amazing, and the pulled pork was so tender and juicy. The BBQ sauce is made with drippings from the pork and is crazy good. The tenderloin slider packs a punch! It's seriously a mini version of the full size sandwich. I highly recommend going with the standard toppings they offer. That tang of the mustard just adds just the right amount of zip! My husband got a pound of the pulled pork with fries. It's a huge portion! I helped him finish it off of course! To get there, just walk in to SKS and turn right immediately. Highly recommend this food stand if you are at sun king in Carmel. I've been to every vendor in the building and this is the closest to bar food to pair nicely with your beer. The pulled pork and buffalo chicken are my favorite sliders. The bbq sauce on the pulled pork is sweet and tangy and the meat was juicy. The buffalo chicken is fairly spicy so you've been warned. I took it back indicating I wanted Buffalo Chicken and the worker stated they didn't do Buffalo Chicken. I pointed to the menu and he stated it was a sandwich and not a wrap so they made me the Caesar wrap instead. He was clearly irritated that I even questioned it and pretty rude. Whatever you do, don't try to eat at The Den. We placed an order at The Den when there was no wait. Keep in mind the restaurant is very small, and should churn out food relatively quickly. We waited 15 minutes, and multiple people who ordered after us got their food. After checking on our order, it was simply forgotten about. No apologies were offered, but we assumed they would make it a priority to get our food out. After 20 MORE minutes we had to check on our food a second time, at which point they had forgotten it AGAIN. What should've been a 20 minute dining experience took over an hour. Wow! This place is awesome! We tried a bunch of things and everything was great. The burger slider was good, but probably the most average thing we had. Still good, but everything else was unbelievable. Let's start with the TENDERLOIN SLIDER! So good. The breading was so flavorful, and the whole thing was cooked perfectly. My wife says it's so good that it's haunting her. $3.50 for one and so worth it, I would say that two and a side would fill most people up. The fried mozzarella was super good! At $8, it was a little pricey, but worth it. Not your run of the mill mozzarella sticks...these were huge hunks of mozzarella, but the breading was amazing and the cheese was melty and delicious. Fries were solid, similar to Five Guys. Cut in house and freshly fried. The house "chips" were more like the chips you get at the fair. Really tasty, and would be my preferred side next time. Good quick food at a fun location. We conveniently and quickly ordered food at a walk-up window in the SunKing building on Carmel's Monon trail. Service was nice & quick. They gave us a beeper and we went to second floor deck on a beautiful day and found a table outside overlooking the Midtown Plaza. When our beeper (loudly) went off, we then went and picked up our food downstairs. It's a tad challenging to carry a tray of food up stairs and through a crowd, but it's do-able. The french fries were really good, and the hamburgers were small so we each had two (sliders for $3.50 each). We would go back to The Den. It is kind of hidden in the eastern corner of the SunKing building, so don't miss it! We ordered drinks from the SunKing waitress on the outside deck. It's kind of odd that we are ordering from different places for one meal, but somehow it all works. We chose The Den out of the 4 restaurant options in the SunKing building because someone walked by us with a tray of burgers and fries JUST as we entered the building, and it looked so good! read more
