I texted the instructor or owner, Kim, asking if we can reschedule because we still wanted to take the class. Received no response, so I made a courtesy call to provide a notice and was received by Kim,to my surprise I was met with the response of "no you can't reschedule" after explaining to him that we were very sick and how can he expect us to show up when we don't feel well. His next response was "I need a 24 hour notice" I'm sorry Kim but the human body doesn't work that way. I told Kim that I'm willing to still come in myself but Im very sick and was being courteous as I do not want to get him sick. That's when his tone changed and agreed to a reschedule. Thanks for offering the reschedule but no thanks. There was never a mention about a 24 hour notice over the phone, and do you really want potential customers who are sick coughing in your face? I guess customer customer service is not a priority, so I will take my business elsewhere.

This father son dynamic duo of luthier/musicians is absolutely the best of the best, recognized worldwide for their skill and talent. Of course they are knowledgeable. What may be less known to people is just how welcoming, down to earth, and helpful they are when you work with them - no matter what your level or ability. I have been a professional musician on and off for over thirty years. Admittedly, it has been more off than on for the last decade (plus). I am trying to learn the difficult and ornate Manouche Jazz style of guitar made famous by Django Reinhardt (which Tommy specializes in). It's still very early for me in this pursuit. In short, as a client, I'm the worst of two worlds... I'm super rusty AND a newbie! But, that didn't matter to Tommy and Stephen Davy. They treated me with the utmost respect and professionalism from first contact via text messages through to well after the sale and work being done. They treated me like I was a pro who just walked in off tour and needed an instrument and adjustment. They weren't worried about my level except to help assess the best instrument to get me into and music suggestions. Thanks to Tommy, I now have a beautiful new acoustic jazz guitar. Stephen also helped me decide and made it clear what guitar to get when it came to buying them. Then Tommy professionally adjusted the Frets, added a new hardware, adjusted the bridge and many more services you would not get out of a regular guitar store. As an engineer by trade, he approaches guitars with that same precision and attention to detail. When I brought my electric in, he didn't just jump into adjustments -- he evaluated the whole instrument first: the materials, the condition, the setup, and what I was hoping to improve. He carefully inspected everything from fret wear and neck curvature to pickup height and electronics, then clearly explained his assessment and game plan before starting any work. What really stood out is how much he genuinely cares about getting it right. My guitar came back playing better than it ever has -- smoother, cleaner, and perfectly set up. Skip the guitar center that charge $150 for a quick nut replacement and take your guitar to Jon instead. You'll be in great hands. I'll definitely be bringing the rest of my guitars to him.
