After performing a few x-rays, both regular and 360, I saw Dr. Rickoff who asked a lot of questions to ensure that the circumstances leading up to the visit were consistent with what he suspected. After discussing the options, I decided to have a root canal performed immediately. Both Dr. Rickoff and the nurse were very compassionate and ensured they did what they could to keep me comfortable and calm throughout the procedure. All of the staff members with whom I interacted were professional and courteous. I had a few concerns the next day following the procedure and although the person who answered the phone tried to reassure me that this was normal, I still wanted to be sure to run it by the doctor himself. He called me back almost immediately and gave me some peace of mind. He was also in close communication with my regular dentist to ensure continuity of care. Although you hope that you never have to see an endodontist, if you do, this seems like a good office to visit.

I noticed something odd when I first arrived at his practice. It had been listed on the Blue Cross website as being the office for him and his wife Tatyana, also a doctor. But her name had obviously been recently removed from the exterior sign and all the interior signage. I didn't think much about that at the time, but on reflection, it may have been a warning of what was to come. Maybe it wasn't the staff's fault that the tiny waiting room was filled with screaming children hitting each other with no parental supervision in sight. The office staff seemed to feel that the waiting room was not under their control and whatever happened there was none of their business. Wait at your own risk! When I was seen by Dr. Gorokhov, I was struck by his melancholic attitude. This worsened as I tried to explain my medical situation to him. Still, I was amazed when, before I had finished, he shouted, "You're lying, aren't you?" I explained that I was not but he continued to assert throughout the interview that I was lying and that his guesses at my medical situation were more accurate than my own decades of experience with it. In retrospect, I should have left then. His abrasive attitude continued as he asked me if I knew what an allergy to gluten was (although I have never had any symptoms of gluten allergy, he claimed that was what was really the matter with everyone). I said, "Yes, it's an allergy to wheat." "No!" he bellowed. "How can you be so ignorant? Don't you know you can look it up on the internet?" So how was I so wrong? It was, he informed me, an allergy to wheat *and* bulgar. I suppose I should have been more specific! So the office visit was a waste of time and money. He put me through several expensive tests even though I told him that they had been done within the past few months by my previous doctor in South Georgia and that all he had to do was request the results from her. (But then he couldn't have made any money from them, could he?) However, my biggest shock was when I received the results (yes, he sent them by mail) of the blood test. When he decided to do the blood test rather than get the results from the one my previous doctor in Statesboro had done only a couple of months before, he asked if I had eaten recently. I told him I had just eaten lunch. "Well," he said, "That won't matter." Was I surprised when I got the results! He sent the normal results for a fasting blood sugar test--for which the patient is not to have eaten or drunk anything but water for ten hours previously--and compared them to my results right after lunch so he could claim I had a new "serious medical condition" for which, of course, I would need to have extensive expensive treatment by him with a side order of abuse. My only medical training is working as a medical transcriptionist for some years, but even I know that you need to be fasting for the results of a fasting blood sugar test to be valid! Could he really not know this? After I found a much better doctor, I realized that his accusatory and malicious attitude, at least, might have been caused by a recent acrimonious separation or divorce from his wife Tatyana. He seemed determined to take it out on all middle-aged women. Perhaps he would be more polite to a man, but really, do you need a doctor who doesn't know the difference between fasting blood sugar and feasting blood sugar? Save your health, save your self-respect, and avoid this one at all (his very high) costs!

I am not sure what the protocol is in Georgia is, but in most other states I lived in, this is a patient right and they need to make this clear. However, I do like that the staff took this feedback seriously and seemed to take immediate action. Otherwise, the staff were overall friendly (especially the sonographers & technicians) and each test was as pleasant as it could be! Do know that while the practice sounds like it might be accomodating to Korean speaking patients, it might be more attributable for certain offices, and less likely of this Tucker office. Also, make sure also to ask for a copy of your medical records when possible, it was nearly impossible to have the records sent to our PCP. P.S. Only tip is - don't be swept up in the moment like us and forget that some of these tests could be done with your PCP, if you have an insurance plan that pays differently depending on where you have certain labs/ diagnostic testing done!

On this last visit the end of September the PA ordered an "At home" test, which I completed a few day from my visit. Since I had not been notified of the result and nothing showed up on the portal, I started trying to find out the results over a period of weeks. Today (11/17/25) I called the number that you would call to schedule and appointment. And was able to speak with someone as no one answered the other numbers. They just went to VM. Due to the time that had past I requested a call back from Dr Dorsey, not the PA that ordered the test. I did receive a call back, but not from Dr. Dorsey. This person told me that they had not been able to get in touch with me with the results. I find that odd and do not believe this as no one including Dr. Dorsey has had any trouble reaching me since my first visits back in 2019. And the portal information is correct. I also fine it odd that on their portal website, there is nothing about the test or results like there is for other test that I have had at the office. I hate it, but due to this I'm moving on from Dr. Dorsey's office.

That was many years ago, and my mom still see's Dr. Stewart as her primary care doctor. Not only is Dr. Steven Stewart an expert in his field; training numerous Emory medical students, but he always treats my mom and I with the utmost respect and compassion. He spends a lot of time with my mom, who has heart and neurological problems, and we think the world of him. He is a great family man as well with the highest morals and ethics. I said okay since they would do monthly payments. I had the stimulator for 2 days and then had it removed. It hurt and was very uncomfortable. Three weeks later I received a messaged stating that the total amount due had changed. That I would need to pay a total of 1900 dollars. I called them up and asked why did the amount due changed? This is not what I had signed up for. They said that this would be the amount I would have to pay now. Based on what I saw my insurance paid more than $30-$40,000 for the procedure. And I'm still in debt for $1900. I don't think that once you give a price to a person you should say it's more money. We spoke about it and I'm pretty sure that contacting the insurance and verifying the amount of coverage should be done as a professional business prior to surgery. Also when I signed the payment arrangement for 1200 I said please take it out on the 15th. Well I guess I must not make myself understood because today is 11/3 and they took a payment out.. I guess calling me to see I was okay with the withdrawal of money wasn't important. Since I'm on disability I don't make extra money and you being aware of it gives you the right to assume that I would be okay. I found Dr. Pafford to be very kind, competent, intelligent and efficient. He genuinely cared about making my procedure painless, even allowing me to use my own earbuds to listen to music while he and his assistants worked together seamlessly. I can sincerely echo these words from past reviews of Dr. Pafford: "top of the line practice" and "world class clinician." Oh, and importantly, you get free parking in downtown Decatur!
