I have found my new car mechanic, Andy! After moving to SF, I needed to find a new mechanic that I could trust. As we all know, finding someone trustworthy is not easy. I was referred to a lot of sketchy places in the past, so I was lucky to find Andy so quickly. I had my car service with Andy 2 times now (1 major tune-up & front brake replacements) for my 2008 V6 Honda Accord. Both times, I experienced superb service, very friendly staff. They have a bunch of car trophies in their office, which appears from car tune-up competition dating back to 1995 to 2000 something. Pretty cool shop with a bunch of cool toy cars. Makes me want to get something fun so they can help me tune it up, maybe a Subaru WRX. Definitely referring all my friends and family. read more

These guys are great. I've been here twice, and the service is top notch. You make an appointment, you can bet they will keep it. I've only dealt with Andy so far, but man he knows his Subarus. From what I observe they have a great and friendly crew. They have people dropping by just to chill. An best of all, they open on Saturdays. What other shop does that? Not many, thats for sure. These guys are smooth and professional. I came in with brake fluid and oil warnings on my 2007 Mini Cooper. Left the car for a few hours, they reset the brake fluid indicator (fluid was fine, indicator came on due to programmed timing), replaced the oil filter and told me I need to replace the front tires in a couple hundred miles. Easy stuff, but I know where I'll go if I have real car trouble. Oh and they called me when they were done. Never had a repair shop do that. read more

Have 04 Subaru STi that needed some adjustments in the suspension. Came here for a thorough inspection after a wheel kissed the curb. Andy the owner and mechanic did a very thorough inspection and explained everything that was an issue. He listened to what i wanted out of the car as for performance and double checked everything. He doesn't up sell, and doesn't take big jobs but the things he does he guarantees not only for performance or to make money but from a safety and performance aspect. Truth be told, another shop did the install, and a secondary shop did the alignment/ set up but they butchered the job. Andy corrected everything and gave sound advice. communications; Email, FB, Phone - just a reminder, shops aren't at your every whim... they are only human and can be busy but Werkshop was easy to communicate with via Phone and FB chat. In addition, little issues with the parking brake that two other shops said there was no remedy, Andy was able to figure it out. Specifically a loose Ebrake that wasn't adjusted via cable but at the rotors/ hubs. Overall; for price, time, and patience and thoroughness; i highly recommend you give em a call. Subaru Owners: this shop will make sure torque specs are within range. Owner is a Subaru lover as well so trust you are in good experienced hands in South San Francisco. For car lovers; great to find a shop that understands and treats cars with passion and work on them like there own cars. Double checks specs/ torque, makes sure things are in order and ensures its safe. For non-car-folk; its difficult to find a shop you can trust and won't gouge you, right? well not anymore. Andy gives sound advice and explains things in non-patronizing and respectful manner. He has tons of experience and works quickly. read more

Had my alarm system wired up Wyman almost 2 years ago. My car had a previously installed kill switch and Wyman had no problems with that. Wired the alarm with it working as it should and also additional tilt and proximity sensors. All this was my own items brought in and Wyman did a great job. Still amazing. I love these guys. They are so awesome and hardworking. I brought a used car there for an inspection before purchasing and Andy said 'no way - do not buy this car!' - he could have made thousands off me for months to come if I would have bought it and he said 'I don't want to take your money - not in this way!' He's so honest and keeps it real. He also spent so much time with me explaining the smart way to purchase a used car and even told me to check Kelley Blue Book before purchasing which has been an awesome tool while I've been on the search. And recently my Mini had a nail in the tire - they could have charged me for a brand new tire, but they said I didn't need it - Wyman patched it up right there and I drove out only spending $15 bucks! I appreciate all the money they have already saved me. I really can't say enough about how happy I am that I found trustworthy mechanics who do excellent work. Came in to get my 60k recommended maintenance service on my 2015 Subaru sti a few weeks ago and I couldn't be happier. Not only did it take a fraction of the time here compared to getting service at the "stealerships" but my car is running much better than when I picked it up off the lot, I believe much of that has to do with the higher quality oils and fluids they have on deck. Much cheaper than going anywhere else as well without compromising the quality of work and quality parts. Now I have made an appointment with them to replace my front brake rotors and pads. Andy is extremely helpful and breaks everything down very well for even those people that are not mechanically inclined. Highly recommend to anyone looking for quality work for a competitive price. I definitely recommend this place! First of all, since I'm a girl, I don't really know much about cars. Actually, I don't know anything at all about cars and car parts. Often times when I try to get my car fixed elsewhere, I'd end up getting ripped off or fooled and what not. I've been to places where they'd tell me that some parts of my cars are messed up, when it's actually not. (All for the sake of money -_-). I found this place from a friend of mine who recommended it to me. And since then, I don't trust anyone else with my car other than these guys. This place is fantastic. I came in and got HID headlights and fog lights installed in my 2017 WRX, as well as a JDM grille install and a shift stop/bushing/short shift adapter install. Andy is an absolute champion. He has vast knowledge on Subarus (among many other cars) and really takes his time to help you select a perfect setup for your car.
