I have mixed emotions about my recent experience at Werner KIA. I made a drop off appointment the week prior and when I went there the person responsible for my car indicated I was not on there list. While I waited for the shuttle to pick me up I was solicited by the sales department. I took the bait and test drove the new Telluride which I actually loved! I was nervous about getting behind the wheel of such a big vehicle but the rep, I believe his name was Daniel made me feel very comfortable. Fast forward to the end of the day I had to call the sales department to get an update on my vehicle right before closing time. He was pretty cavalier in his response and said he'd call back with an estimate first thing the next morning. I then waited until lunchtime only to be told by someone else, I think her name was Laura that it would take another day for the part to come in and be installed. My original service rep was also out that day. Laura did give me her direct line and when I expressed my dissatisfaction in the lack of communication said I could get 10% off the price for the inconvenience. Don't EVER take a vehicle to Werner Kia in Tallahassee. All I needed were two tires to be replaced. Of course most of the 5 star reviews are from people buying a car, they'll sell you a car, but maintaining it they SUCK at! THE WHOLE SERVICE DEPT! Day 1 at dealership: waited 2.5 hours in a gross portable with broken chairs, smelled like fart and tables had a gross sticky substance on it. Waited just to be told the tires DIDN'T ARRIVE. Ok, no big deal, I'll come next day. BUT. I get the car back with both sideskirts crunched up from being lifted improperly, all tires inflated past 50 psi and saw 3 total new scratches on driver door & bumper. Definitely a child who worked on the car. After blasting the advisor (I get it's not his fault), but they need to know the severity of this. More damage was done and the advisor just expected me to just go home lol I told them I demand they need to make it right. So... Day 2: I was told a "higher level" tech will do the tires... Ok apparently that's needed for just tires... I get my car back, the BOTH of the WHEELS are SCRATCHED from the wheel machine, hood had a huge smudge/ oil spot, ridiculously enough and the red balance dot on the tires weren't placed on the valve stem area for proper balance. Higher level tech didn't know basic tire installation. They couldn't get anything right. At this point, I knew the techs just don't give a sh,it. I don't like doing business with anyone if the work has no care in it. Worst work ethic I have ever experienced. Nonetheless, the advisor and service director addressed the issue, after everyone in the service center heard how they absolutely f#cked up with how pissed I was. Only people who did ok was the collision center, cleaning the dealership's mess basically. That STILL didn't fix the scratches on the door and one sideskirts still bent up after getting it back. On top of that, my car was sat in for a bit and had less than a quarter tank left. So they are their lunch inside my car... At this point I don't care. I care to copy and paste a couple bad reviews over other platforms because I don't want others to go through the same as I dod. This place is a scam and I forgot why I went there to begin with. The whole service dept is an absolute joke. Yes I was put in a rental for almost two weeks, waiting for my car to get correct.To this day I am skeptical to find more damage to the car. The WORST service dept I have EVER dealt with. I talked to 1 person in the span of calling for 2 days, getting no answer (other than the 1 time), leaving VM's & even calling the sales dept. On the 3rd day, I drove the 1.5 hrs to the dealership, & it took them 3 hours to determine they needed to order the part. Ignoring the fact that I was told I could get a loaner car if my car was under warranty & they had to order the part, they sent me on my way & told me to not roll down my window (not always possible especially being the driver window) & I'll have to bring my car back when the part comes in. To top it off, 2 weeks prior I had an oil change but they left my "No wiper fluid" light on, so did they even check ALL my fluids that their suppose to during an oil change, WHO KNOWS. I had a great experience with the sales dept when I purchased the car, which is why I bought it from them to begin with. The dealership is sleazy and anti-customer. I spoke with a salesman named Shawn. Like most buyers I was checking a few vehicles and comparing make, model, mileage, and so on using the labels then checking the prices on their website. None of the used cars have prices on them because they don't value transparency and they don't want informed customers. They want the creepy salesman to dominate the transaction like that bad Alec Baldwin movie from the 1980s where he proclaims, "always be closing!" to a group of stressed out middle-age white guys who just need to put down the phone and take a vacation. This hard sell attitude breeds a unique breed of late stage capitalist sociopaths who don't care about their buyers. In the age of Carvana and Tesla, where buying a car is easy and transparent, this is akin to renting VHS tapes at Blockbuster as Netflix rolls into homes. KIAS sell because they are pretty and cheap. They don't sell due to the salespeople. You don't find Shawn, he finds you. Salesmen hound you at dealerships like moths to a flame and crowd my husband to share a big guy handshake. This is tolerable if they actually helped....but... I asked Shawn about a sheet on a used car which said no warranty and he basically tried to scare me (probably to some higher value new or certified option), saying "if you drive off the lot and the car dies, we do nothing," and "they only check the tires, and whether turn signals work, what's required under the law." Great...so they have mechanics but are too greedy to check their used cars out before selling them to you. Unless it's something they can get in legal trouble over. Cars can kill you if they don't work. Guess it's better to know their values now. Ok...so like any person who has a brain and doesn't want to throw down twenty grand on something that could fail out of the lot, I asked if Kia could show a car to their mechanic to ensure it was in working condition if I wanted to buy it. He responded condescendingly that that was a very unusual request but maybe he could talk to his manager. Did you get that, people? You're buying something for ten or twenty grand and they don't even check it out before selling it to your family. Get it inspected - if they'll let you. Or better yet check out a dealer who makes it standard practice to inspect what they sell to you. It gets better. I walked around a few cars, barely read two or three labels, then Shawn loudly pronounced that we're not going to look at a lot of cars and compare prices today and waste time. Umm...I'll choose how to spend my money thank you. Like I said...they hate educated customers. Ok Shawn...so I get no info on the price, I don't get the experience I want, I don't get to research and look at the cars I like, you're telling me how to handle my money on cars that aren't checked for anything beyond what your business is required to do to avoid a government probe...and you don't want to waste your time to show me more than perhaps one or two cars to make that sweet commission. I'm just supposed to throw you the down payment on a starter home for something that could crack five miles off the lot. Because you shook my hand in an uber masculine confident way. Ok Shawn. At that point we had enough. We left without trying out any of the cars I liked. Late stage capitalism is like a cannibalistic beast that runs out of things to consume so it finally just eats itself. The buyer is treated in the worst possible way. Dear we the people, you are worth more than this and you deserve transparent prices and BS-free sales. Go elsewhere. Dear Kia, I was very interested in buying one of your vehicles. In fact, I reserved a vehicle at another dealership the same day. I was so offended by your sleazy salesperson, and your tactics, that I felt it was more important that I spend my money at an ethical shop that values buyers. In fact, I'd probably pay extra to buy a car directly online with Carvana so I don't have to interact with people like Shawn. And you guys have mechanics - use them to check your cars you lazy snakes. A faulty vehicle could hurt someone's family. KIA has all the spin and none of the substance. It didn't matter that KIA had this nice little hotdog cookout by the front door. It didn't matter that they have these little streamers from the tops of their fences. DO NOT TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP (and their fake good reviews). I am absolutely livid after processing how much I ended up paying for a used KIA Soul. I went in with a price range hovering at $20k and was told the car I wanted was damaged (it's still up on their website). They showed me another Kia Soul that had "just arrived." It reeked of cigarette smoke but otherwise I liked it, and I was shown a base price of $23k. I said no. They said they'd take $1000 off the price, and after giving me a crazy long term and high monthly payment that I tried (unsuccessfully) to negotiate down, I agreed to buy the car for $22k, which is already more than it's worth (has 40k miles on it). So, then some dude from financing pressures me into saying yes to Gap insurance. He's sitting at the desk staring at me as I ask if I can please think about it, and he says no, and so I finally say yes, but immediately regret it. When I tell him I changed my mind, he turns into a total jerk and acts like I have done something terrible. (keep in mind, I've been at the dealer for several hours now, because they are taking FOREVER to do everything). Then he prints out all the papers I need to sign. I'm there alone (which was dumb on my part) and he's glaring at me and huffing. I feel so pressured that I just sign the papers. How incredibly stupid of me for thinking that a dealership wouldn't lie to me. Turns out, they charged me nearly $7k more for the car than I agreed to. I didn't find out till I got home and looked at the papers I'd signed, away from the jerky financing guy. Honestly, this has broken my heart and I am so upset at myself for not looking more closely at the papers. But I am also livid at the men who treated me poorly and lied to me, and who knew that they could essentially bully me into signing papers without reading them. Their sales tactics are predatory and intimidating. If you are going to go here (DON'T) then make sure to bring someone with you and be willing to walk away. These people should be straight up ashamed of themselves. I am now saddled with much more debt than I expected, and my car reeks of cigarette smoke...and who knows what else they lied to me about. This has to be THE worst Kia location in North Florida. I bought my car brand new, off the lot, back in 2014 when it was good ol' Kia of Tallahassee. Once the Werner part took over and was added to the name, it went downhill from there. I bought my car when they offered the "Tires for Life" deal, when as long as you have your tire, wheel, brake work done at the location then you get your tires free. I get my work done in Dothan and pay for tires, that's how horrendous Werner is. Paying for tires when I can get them free but I'd rather pay for great service over being treated like me or my money isn't good enough. The staff is absolutely rude unless you're some young college student wearing the skimpiest of clothing. The guy in service with the ponytail is the worst. He will see you waiting, skip people ahead of you, then run off. Today he did that to me then proceeded to have a conversation with the young lady about who she knew that worked there and where she lives, etc. He then told the young lady who he skipped ahead of me that he would personally pull her car around. He proceeded to go outside and have a conversation (full of F-bombs and the worst swearing) with one the guys outside at the greeter's desk. When I looked around the room every associate from the 5 or 6 computers were gone except one who was tied up on a phone call and seemed to be doing the best he could. He eventually helped me. He said "I guess no one offered to help you, huh?" I said "Not one." He just sighed like he's used to it. He helped where he could even though ponytail chimed in when he finally decided to come back in and was absolutely rude in his assistance to the other employee and his addressing me as well. I can't understand how they're even still open but do yourself a favor and go to Dothan or even Panama City. Leave Werner be. Horrendous service and staff. Oh and I still wasn't able to get what I needed because it was for some service records and apparently they only keep records for 2 years according to ponytail. Absurd! I had a fire in my home and can't get to my oil change records (from when they were Kia of Tallahassee and I got service there) and the place I bought my car from doesn't have them! RUN LIKE THE WIND!!!!! My 2019 KIA Soul has an intermittent problem with the ABS and Skid control light. No big deal, just call Werner, that is where the situation got big. I called the service department, gave initial information, and then was placed on hold for 23 minutes, finally, I hung up and called back. I was told their phones (landlines) were acting up because of the rain. I was in my car, driving in the rain, on a Bluetooth-connected cellphone the entire time, and had no difficulties listening to 23 minutes of Musak. After calling back, and asking again for an appointment I was told the next available time was in February, the 12th to be precise...let that sink in. Have you ever been told the next available vehicle service date was in five months? I can schedule brain surgery faster than that. I then asked to speak with the Service Manager and was politely sent to a voicemail box. I left my information and have yet to get a return call. I contacted KIA headquarters and got a bot answer telling me to go to another dealer. I even ask if it was safe to drive the vehicle for next 5 months with warning lights illuminated on the dash, no answer from the bot. So much for standing up for your customers. read more

Any legit dealer doesn't make you add any third party "BS" fee's (Werner Way specifically, and they don't include this on the website but make you feel pressured to buy it on the lot this is shady). They have multiple different products they want to sell so they can make a ton of money off the top. Drove an hour + away to tell me that my trade was going to be valued 10k less for no reason, and they were trying to haggle on something that was "good to go" before I walked in. If a dealership says they have fees that are not waived, and they tell you the car you are looking at is 5k more then their website then you should just walk out the door right away no questions asked. TWO weeks prior, we made an appointment for a recall. Long story short, we stayed in the client lounge waiting for the car to be ready for a whole three hours. Time continued passing by, and we went to check on the car, thinking it was about to be ready. But guess what? They hadn't even started on the car. We were like, "What do you mean? We had an appointment for 11 AM," and they just said, "Oh, it will only take 30 minutes." Basically, we made an appointment for nothing, waiting for a service that was supposed to be ready in 30 minutes. And the worst part? They don't even care to give you another car for the meantime, as if it was the customer's fault for scheduling a recall! read more

Absolutely horrible! I gave them one star only because zero stars wasn't an option. I submitted a formal compliant via snail mail today on behalf of my father. My father, who is 89 years old, took his Kia Sedona in for repairs. Service department reviewed and said repair was replacement of a wire hardness. The out the door cost was $4000. When he arrived, he was told the entire cost was $4121.28. Thinking all was good, he paid the price even though it was not the agreed upon price. To his chagrin, he had to take his Kia back just a few weeks later as problems continued to occur. This time the service department said there was an issue with the power steering wire. THEN several days later, they called him and said the entire power steering complex had to be replaced. This time the cost would be at least $4000. Seems like the service department either doesn't know what they are doing or they have figured out a way to continually bring people back for additional service work at $180 per hour. read more

Once I spoke to them, they said they would have the tire in stock by time I got there for my appointment at noon. I get there and they "don't have anything on file". Mind you, this is the only Kia in Tallahassee. They finally "remember" that I did call . What should have been an hour, now has me needing to get a shuttle home. The girl comes and tells me she me ready to take me home (waited 20 mns already) THEN proceeds to not know where the shuttle is (another 15 minutes). The dealership posted on its website a 2018 Hyundai Elantra on a Friday afternoon. I immediately reserved time for a test drive on that Sunday. I arrive Sunday, the car wasn't available for a test drive. According to Carfax, the car was serviced on Saturday. OK, poor timing. For several days thereafter, I emailed to ask when the car would be available for the drive. On Friday, one week after first contacting Werner Kia, I was informed that the car had been transferred to another dealership. No notification to this potential client. No regard for this (former) potential client's time or interest (or money being shelled out on a rental car in the meantime). If I could give this place a zero rating I would. I purchased my brand new K5 from this hell hole of a dealership in February and its literally been the worse decision ever. I took my car to get an oil change and each time I've taken it there they NEVER remember to reset my service meter and they never show me that the oil has been changed. I've been having issues with my stereo system since late September early October and I had an appointment for them to check it out, they literally had my car ALL DAY and then call me after 5pm telling to pick it up, never explaining to me that they did not complete the services and they didn't even offer me a ride back to the dealership. I literally had to pay for an Uber to pick up my car that wasn't even fixed. I make an appointment with the service manager a week or so later and he tells me they had to download some files to send to the UVO team and he'd give me a call when they get a diagnosis. It's December and I have not received a call or text or anything from anyone. I literally have to email them for any sort of correspondence. The lack of empathy and customer service is abhorrent! you think being a returning customer they'd have a little for respect or concern, but nope NOTHING! I'm sure if you're buying a car from them, they treat you wonderfully. I know, I've heard their pitch. It's great. But when it comes to service on a Kia car, not so great. I called after trying a couple of local shops to get my car worked on, to figure out at a very distinct rattling coming from the engine that happens when accelerating. They couldn't get me in until a month out, fine, no problem. So I dropped my car off the night of September 1st. September 2nd, they have all day to inspect & diagnose. I receive a phone call that afternoon telling me the sound when driving is a Lysol can & scissors that I keep in the side console of my door. So my car can be picked up & it's good to go! But don't you think I would know my car after owning for over 6 years? I know when it's driving differently, I recognize the MPG that has gone down, and I hear that sound DAILY. Even if it ends up not truly damaging, it's concerning to hear. But no one can give me an answer. Not even the Kia dealership themselves. But their explanation is something on the inside, side of door?... I'm not sure if they thought I was that clueless to not check EVERYTHING before taking it somewhere to spend money to diagnose & fix it. This is the THIRD place I have taken it to find cause of the issue. So I ask them to try again and see if they can find something. Hours later, I call them back, hadn't heard from them yet, only to hear, "technicians drove it & never heard anything concerning" Fine, I figured I would pick up and bring my car somewhere else, to someone who would take the time to figure out the issue. So not only did they not figure out the issue, I picked my car up with AN ADDITIONAL 48 MILES ON IT, as well as that lovely rattle still there when accelerating, and no answers. I came in to get my 2017 Sorrento serviced . I had also promised to find the salesman who wanted to sell me a new car and explain exactly why I was so mad about the "bait and switch " that happened when I bought the Sorrento (my third Kia at the location) that I would probably NEVER buy another Kia. And I didn't care if it was new ownership, I wouldn't trust them to finance a bicycle ! Then I met Nate Nolan, a salesman and Gerell in finance. I'm driving home in my new Telluride today. They met my terms, won me over and I can't believe I'm going home in a brand new Kia. Great guys. No pressure. They did everything the said they would do. I couldn't be more pleased . read more

Have called service manager and left messages multiple times without a response. Service department replaced an oil pan and didn't put a gasket on. Oil now spraying out under the car. Terrible customer service. read more
