If you're…read morelike me and your fur baby is truly family, then you already know you want to take care of them as such. But let's be real--vet visits are expensive these days, and I needed to get my guy Boomer his shots and a little wellness check without it turning into a whole financial event. So I started looking for an affordable clinic, and a lot of places claim they're affordable... and then you get there and the prices are not giving "affordable" at all. I made an appointment with Vetco Clinic, and I went to the one on 86th and Lexington because it's closest to me. Booking online was super easy, and I was able to get a same-day appointment, which I loved. When I got there, I was honestly surprised--in the best way--because it really wasn't expensive. They even give you a 20% coupon when you sign up to go, so you can use that discount right away, which is a nice bonus. Boomer got three shots and my total was $80. And the guy in front of me was last minute trying to get his baby ready for boarding, and she needed like five or six shots, and his total was $149... and that's before even thinking about the 20% discount. For New York? That is genuinely great. But beyond the price, the vets and staff were really sweet. Boomer is a rescue, so he's a little squeamish and very big on energy and who's handling him, and he didn't give them any issues at all. They did the shots so quick and smooth, he wasn't in pain, he wasn't drowsy afterwards, and you can tell they actually care about the pets they're seeing. And that matters to me because he's my baby--my first son--so I'm always paying attention to how people treat him. It was quick, simple, easy, and most importantly affordable. They were also open to questions, so if you need to ask about medications, flea and tick prevention, food, anything--they'll talk to you and help without making you feel rushed. I highly recommend Vetco Clinic if you're trying to keep up with your pet's care without it costing you an arm and a leg. We need affordable options, and this one really came through.

I was told that they would be ready in 2.5 hours. #frenchiesofues #animalcruelty When I arrived to pick them up, the larger of the two had bloodshot red eyes. I asked what was wrong with him and told that he was just anxious. I asked both the groomer and the other staff and was told not to worry about it. I was then told that the groomer said that he was misbehaving. The hair had not been cut from his back or his buttocks and then the groomer quickly did it in 5 minutes, $250 plus $60 tip later and a vet bill. We later realized that they actually had not been bathed. His eyes remained red at midnight and this morning. I took him to the veterinarian and found out that he must have been choked or his face smashed against the cage, as he was suffering from a scleral hemorrhage. I hope that this letter can help others avoid putting their pets into this dangerous place. Do not give these horrible people your business…read more Literally the last 5 times I've ordered from them they have promised me that my dog food would get delivered on a certain date and it's always many days late. The latest order is now 3 days past when it was supposed to be delivered and I have called several times and each time they promise me that it's definitely coming that day. It's absurd and my dog has now run out of food (she's on a prescription diet). I called them today (after delivery is already 3 days late) and I tell them that my dog has no more food and what's going on with the delivery. They respond back "sir, your food is on the truck and is out for delivery today" I asked several times to please make sure it comes and they guaranteed me that it would. Of course it never came. If you can't deliver until a certain day / time, that's ok - but don't lie about it and leave a poor dog without her prescription food. This place can never manage to deliver on time and they lie - yet they have no issue charging my credit card as soon as my order is placed. Clearly they don't give a crap about the animals otherwise they would be a little more accurate when promising on food delivery's. Shame on me for buying into their lies. On top of this, they constantly run out of inventory on dog food. Stay away.

This is THE BEST pet store…read more The owner of the store has several of his own dogs and tests out all of the toys he sells; there isn't a huge selection but based on the type of dog you own he can tell you which bone or toy will entertain your dog for the longest amount of time. While I was in the store another customer came in to find cat food for her cat that apparently wasn't eating it's food, he gave her a free sample so that she could keep trying until she found something her cat would eat. He knows dog breeds and which food is best for which dog. When my dog was sick he not only sells the sweet potatoes that make dogs feel better instantly, he also went next door and bought yogurt because he said that would also help her stomach. If you want a pet store where the employees actually know about pets and can recommend items based on experience, not just point you in the direction of where they are...this is the place to go. Lets just say Petco lost a customer.

He took too personal of an interest in me which at first I thought friendly but then realized it was a little overboard and he made very inappropriate comments to me and about me. Needless to say, I take my business elsewhere. Even though the store I frequent is not as close, I don't have to worry about someone making me feel uncomfortable. This manager thinks he knows everything about dogs - and yes, he does know a lot; however the food he recommends, while REALLY good is also REALLY expensive. That said, my dog doesn't eat cheaply - she eats Wellness brand - but he was adamant that she needed to be on the priciest feed there was. I guess he needs to be reminded that not everyone wants to be his best friend and sometimes his opinions/thoughts are better left to himself, especially when it's not about pets.
