What a great pet store!! I have been coming to Wespaw for over a year or so for occasional dry food and treats for my Yorkie. The staff is always so nice and helpful and they always seem to go out of their way for you, especially when you're parked on a hydrant outside. Great customer service is something that isn't practiced as much in many stores anymore and it is definitely what makes them stand out. I honestly haven't even looked up the prices online for the stuff I buy from them because I rather just come here and pick it up, maybe find something cute and new that otherwise wouldn't online. Plus that whole human experience, is still so much better and enjoyable than the online thing we all do out of convenience. Now that I also see from other Yelpers that they also give back to the community, more reason to support them. I don't even live in neighborhood but work close by so coming here is only slightly out of the way but I don't mind. A business that definitely stands out among others. We went in several weeks ago for a crate in anticipation of our new arrival - the amazing Marley Pants from Muddy Paws Rescue. Not knowing exactly how big Marley was, we bought the last crate in the store, hoping it would do the trick. But sure enough, Marley arrived and she was just a tiny bit too big. Even though it was past the 7-day return policy, Mo graciously allowed us to exchange the crate for a larger size. This kind of friendly neighborhood service makes a HUGE difference in this city, where there are too many impersonal and apathetic merchants ready to take your money but could care less about your return business. Very helpful staff, I was having a problem with my dog because he was just eating home food so I went there with my mom. She does not speak English but JP speak Spanish so he made my mom understand that home food is not good for my dog. My dog was not eating anything but home food. So JP recommended us a good option (weruva/chicken) to give to my dog instead the home food. We love Wespaw! We always buy our dogs' food from here. Their prices are reasonable and they carry the best brands including Orijen, Taste of the Wild and Acana. About a month ago, my husband purchased a big bag of Orijen 6 Fish. My dogs both refused to eat it at first, and when they finally caved in, they couldn't keep it down.... We figured out that they really just couldn't stand the flavor. I called Wespaw and spoke to the manager, who called Champion Pet Foods and got them to agree to allow an exchange. I went back in and exchanged the bag for another flavor, and just paid the difference. They were so nice and accommodating about it. Today, I went in to inquire about allergy friendly foods for one of my dogs. They were very helpful and gave me a couple of sample bags to try, free of charge! I love this place! When I first moved into the area, I was looking for a pet store that would be my go to. King is my baby and I like small businesses that treat you like family. This is definitely one of them! All the staff members are super nice and know exactly what you need. One of the staff members (totally forgot his name I'm sorry!) is very knowledgeable about pits.
