This business took great care of me when I took my Subaru in to have an oil change, but also a check of my brakes and an inquiry on noise when backing out of parking spots (thought could be CV joint related). When I picked up my car later in the day, Amanda (front desk) informed me my brakes were good all around, the technician could not locate the source of my noise report, and that my oil change was completed. I initially was skeptical that this business could be so honest (had read that on Yelp and other review sites), but I am now a believer. If you want an honest mechanic who is not trying to sell you on unnecessary repairs and will treat you fairly - give this local Castle Rock business a try. I am a car nut and financial advisor. I always tell my clients to go to Wessbecker even if they have to drive a ways to get their car worked on. I like to fix my own cars because it's fun and therapy for me. It's not the best use of my time but it is very satisfying. I think the Wessbecker mechanics know how I feel. They actually admired me for doing my own work and encouraged me to continue having fun working on cars. I had a small machining job that they could have easily sent me down the road to get done by someone else but they were happy to help me. Can't say they would always do that but they probably wanted to help out a hobbyist. I don't think they charged me anywhere near what they could have given their hourly rates (which are very reasonable). Of course the job was done perfectly and it helped me quickly get my car running again. I've been pretty lucky to have not needed to take a job to them I couldn't do myself, but when it does happen, and it will, they are the only shop I would EVER consider let work on my cars. read more

Jason and his father, Mark (retired) started their company as they were involved in racing cars and as a result they can build a car from the ground up. I have never had any complaints about their work and they always stand behind what they do. We found these guys through an irritating situation with Big O Tires and we're so happy something good came out of it! Big O did a 100k maint job on our F-150 truck (no comments please lol), the day after it started losing power, miss-firing, check engine light came on. Brought it back, and after being told it was a transmission problem, then took it to a Transmission Specialist who told us it's not a transmission problem, we were finally referred to Wessbecker for help. Jason took an itemized list of what Big O did to our truck, and within a short time, he figured it out, it was just one of the new plugs that burned out (Something Big O should've found themselves). Jason actually took it upon himself to call Big O about the job he was fixing of theirs, and got Big O to foot the bill!! I recommend this place hands down. Being a female many other car repair shops have taken advantage of my lack of knowledge in cars. They don't look for everything wrong with my car in order to profit off that. They tell me what all is wrong but tell me what is a safety issue and what isn't. That there is the first place I've ever had inform me of that. So I know what is a fix that is needed asap and what can wait. The wait for my car can sometimes be a bit longer due to random parts needing to be delivered but the wait is well worth it since the fee is reasonable. I have used Wessbecker Automotive for over 25 years. My family has owned many vehicles and Mark and Jasons mechanics have always been able to take care of anyhing that breaks. My sons Dodge recently began to make a terrible high pitched noise when it was started cold. We had many concerns about it because the car has almost 200k miles. We took it to them fearing the worst and as always they quickly diagnosed the problem. A simple transmission service fixed a badly clogged trans. Filter. We suspected a transmission issue and had even taken it to a transmission shop recently. Lesson learned always take it to Wessbeckers first. They have never let us down! read more

I feel compelled to write a great review for these folks and we didn't even do business. I walked in today and asked about a timing belt, steering rack, and valve cover gaskets on an old Toyota 4Runner. They explained I still had time left on the timing belt and didn't need to worry about the steering rack or valve cover gaskets as my situation was completely normal and warranted no immediate action. They very easily could have recommended $2K+ in work and didn't. When I actually do need something I know exactly where I'm going. Wessbecker came through again! Last week I was traveling to Texas to visit family for Thanksgiving. On the way down, my car started making a terrible rumbling noise and I stopped at a service station to have it checked out. I was told my wheel bearings needed to be replaced and I was quoted what seemed like an outrageous price. I decided to call Wessbecker to get their opinion. I talked to Amanda who was great as always and she agreed that the price seemed high. She got Mike on the phone with me and he was able to tell me what the anticipated cost should be including parts and labor. As if that was not enough, he then suggested that I contact a local NAPA store and ask them for a referral to a local NAPA Certified Auto Center. He said that if that did not work, he would even be willing to put in some legwork to help me find a mechanic that could help. I followed his suggestions and was able to find a mechanic near me that was able to fix the car at the exact cost they said it should be (which was half of what I was originally quoted). I was able to get to Thanksgiving and then safely back to Colorado. Wessbecker has earned my business over and over again. They always go above and beyond; and they are by far the best auto repair shop in Castle Rock. read more
