Wow what a dive this took. Prices went up, customer service went down…read more I went in, asking for advice about a plant my mother, who passed away, had given me. It is really special to me that the plant lives as long as it can. The older man at the counter said, "Have you tried not worrying about it? It's going to do whatever it wants." That was his ONLY *advice*. I asked him about maybe adding a rooting agent and he said that was a good idea and then *instructed* me on how to use a rooting agent... incorrectly. If a plant isn't growing it's the environment that needs to change. You can't leave it up to the plant. This is basic gardening logic. I needed advice adjusting the environment -- soil, nutrients, a grow light -- not complete apathy. This garden center has the highest prices of any in the area, but I'd pay it for people who care and know what they're doing. I'm not paying $10 for rooting agent (which I already have) and an extra surcharge of the audacity.

The owners rather than offering help or to replace it where VERY nasty and said that its my fault the plant is not doing well and would not replace it. I purposely shop at small garden centers like this one to support the small and local businesses. I left very upset. I didn't argue or get overheated. What a horrible way to treat your customers. Shouldn't it be a their goal to treat the customer well and make sure their happy! I explained to them I just had a similar experience at another local shop, Uncle Ed's Creamery, who made a simple mistake with a purchase. Not only did they replace it, they gave me a gift certificate!!! Thanks Uncle Ed's. I will NO longer shop The Living Earth. I have spent LOTS of money supporting their business, but I will NO longer shop here. What a HORRIBLE and BULLYING experience. Mrs. A

We've gotten a patio with plantings and two shade trees through Rutgers. They are a little more…read moreexpensive than their competitors which we knew, but we loved the whole experience of the design and thought they were very professional. The reason why I wouldn't recommend this company is the quality of their support is subpar. Many of the plantings died within the first year even though they get watered daily. The trees don't grow, whereas trees we bought from other landscaping companies in the area are already taller than our house. The patio has loose pavers and the low voltage lighting doesn't work everywhere. Some lights work, others don't. When I asked about the lights, they said it's a supplier issue from China, however they've installed other patios in our neighborhood with lights. I guess it's only a supplier issue for warranty issues and not new installs. The issue with the loose pavers however is the reason I'm writing this review. When I called to asked them to come out and take a look, they told me they can't take support calls like this over the phone instead I would need to email them. I don't understand how a company that I paid thousands of dollars to for a patio won't talk to me on the phone. I now have to wait days for a reply via email. Ridiculous Also, they are going to reply to this review asking me to call them and speak to management. That's a waste of time as when I call the person on the phone will say "send us an email". Terrible.

We had and continue to have a HORRIBLE experience with this company. J.Dickson Munds, and Allison Brown, to name a few, are completely inept and incapable of running a business and dealing with customers. They will take your money and DISAPPEAR, leaving code violations, potential for lawsuits, and unfinished work. THEY TOOK OUR MONEY AND WILL NOT CALL US BACK. We have already reported them to several municipalities, and are planning on taking them to court. There are so many better pool companies out there to use, make sure you do your research and talk to ACTUAL customers. We all need to stand up to companies that behave unethically without any accountability. UPDATE AND RESPONSE Your response is further evidence of what a sham of a business this is. Another review that I wrote on another platform received numerous votes of support and confirmation of your inability to operate a business. An ethical company does not lie about their customers, which you just did. That, or you simply have no idea what was actually happening on site, which is unsurprising considering you completely shut us out once the money came through. We never treated anyone on the job with anything but the UTMOST respect, even when they destroyed our staircase, leaving it (and still left it) without a protective barrier for months, even when they left their cigarette butts floating in the pool water, even when we had neighbors left and right emailing us, knocking at our doors and calling us at all hours to complain about how unprofessional the workers from this company behaved; from destroying their front lawns, to harassing and fighting with them. Weather and township delays were never an issue, this is about a lack of communication and accountability; and you deciding to slow roll our project as a punishment for reasonable requests for information. Blocking your clients numbers as a result of NORMAL communication is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE. Telling a client, quote "this is the last text you will receive from me" is closing communication ties. All of your staff constantly complain about you Allison, and are constantly mentioning how they have no respect for your business practices. Everyone, including your husband, just have to do what they are told; essentially acting like a dictator. You have workers who are MISERABLE, something noted by all of our neighbors, who are HAPPY to REVIEW as well. Incidentally, 36 hours to write a check didn't seem to be a problem when YOU needed money from us, as your husband would show up with no warning and demand a check which we happily gave him five minutes later. Most recently you are threatening to void our warranties and hold our money until we sign a new contract, which has nothing to do with getting money back for work that was NEVER even started. We are communicating now through this review more than ever before, as you have literally NEVER responded to a single email we sent you. Well here you have it folks, this company will try to lie and tarnish your name when challenged; thankfully we have an army of supporters who were actually here, and saw what happened. They will continue to bring to light the dangers of working with a company like Premiere Pools and Spas. Check out the 2 stars on Facebook, and 1.5 stars on Consumer Affairs.

On 2 separate occasions, Dickson personally stopped by to inspect the work and admitted there were problems with the workmanship and PROMISED that he would come back and do the repairs. After stringing us along for several months as we were trying to get the repairs scheduled and not returning my phone calls, I realized that Dickson never had any intention of repairing the coping in the first place. He outrightly lied to us. I would absolutely NOT recommend nor trust Dickson - I promise that if you go with him - you will be sorry.
