Wow wow wow. West Bank Streets Eats was *chefs kiss*. The restaurant lives up to its name with a small menu of classic Middle Eastern street food. Everything we tried with freshly prepared, had perfect texture (oh so crispy falafels and melt in your mouth chicken and beef), and complex flavor. The staff was so welcoming, and it was apparent they take great pride in their food. West Bank is such a welcome addition to the O'Fallon community. We've heard about this place and finally got a chance to go in. The beef schwarma is to die for. I have a tzatziki addiction so I had to ask for some with my bowl and it was delicious. Definitely going to get a gyro the next time I go. My brother loved the wrap also. My kiddo ate all his fries too! The two guys serving us were very efficient and friendly. There's not a lot of seating. Only tables for two people. We saw three people pull a table together so they don't mind if people do that. Tons of to go orders coming in while we were there. Overall, a solid shwarma place!! Food: Fries were 100% by the time I got home (15min). Completely inedible. Falafel was delicious, and Chicken Shwarma bowl was okay. I ended up using the extra bread and making a sandwich out of it. If I had to pick again, I'd just go with the sandwich. The bread pairs better with it. Chicken was delicious btw!!! Came here after the splash pad, super hungry. And left, absolutely stuffed to the brim. TBH, I couldn't stop eating. Got the beef shawarma, and everything about it was amazing, from the homemade pita to the heaps of shaved beef. I wondered why the sandwich was so expensive, but after being served, I instantly understood why -- it's basically a meal for two! Also nice: free bottled water. This took the edge off the cost of the meal, which was fairly expensive (over $50 for three shawarma, including tax). If there's any drawback to West Bank Street Eats, price is it. read more

My family and I were going shopping next door at the Italian place. When we got out of the car the smell coming from this place was AMAZING. And I'm sad to say not even 15 minutes before this we had gotten smoothies for our "breakfast". So after we finished in the Italian store we just had to try it out. I got the Chicken Shawarma Sandwich and this thing was HUGE! The chicken is so moist and flavorful. The veggies are delicious. And the taziki sauce is perfect. There is a place back home I eat and the taziki sauce is so over powering it's hard to eat. I will say there is so much in the sandwich that the wrap cannot hold up. I recommend getting the bowl. This is also big enough for 2 people. The Gyro is the same way. My cousin got it and him and his wife split it. The men that were working to killed it. They were slammed from everyone walking by and smelling it. Several people that were shopping next door with us also came in to try it out. Smart move by opening their doors today! This place is GREAT, though not necessarily for me. I'd asked if they served vegan on their Facebook page and they said yes, so I stopped in. And what I got WAS vegan and tasted awesome. Just not all that healthy... Instead of a meat, I chose Falafel which was deep fried. And they tasted salty. IMO, that kind of takes away the "good for you" part. The add-ons to my bowl were VERY tasty. But without meat, or the deep fried Falafel, there's just not that much there for me. I be SAD. read more

I just ordered delivery from this place, and they use GrubHub...fine. So I ordered a gyro with no lettuce, pickled turnips, olives and tzatziki sauce. The driver text me when she was at the restaurant waiting for my order. I text her back to please ask them for extra tzatziki sauce and she text back that she would. I got my order, and there was NO tzatziki sauce in the bag, or on the gyro. And there were no turnips, but you know what there was?? Lettuce!! I specifically said "no lettuce, and add tzatziki sauce" on my order, and they totally screwed it all up!! I'm sure the food would have been good had there been any sauce on it. I'm never ordering from this place again. I paid almost $30 for a f'ing gyro, and didn't get what I wanted or ordered. read more

I honestly didn't think it was going to come with all the toppings and sauces because it says "of your choosing" but was pleasantly surprised that it did. Second time here. Likely the last. I'll start by discussing the "tipping" option. If I walk in to a restaurant and I'm greeted with zero enthusiasm, then I'm immediately put off. The man that I initially talked to clearly didn't want to be there, and didn't seem interested in telling me what was what. It's not a cultural thing, in my experience... I ordered a chicken schwarma (sandwich) meal to go with a "limona." The bill was rung up over 20$ with a "tip" option. So, if I don't tip am I going to leftover food or bad (worse) service? What exactly am I tipping for? I did leave a tip, pushing my total to $25. Some other guy, clearly with something better to do, came out to fulfill my order. Ten minutes later I walked out, deciding not to come back. The food is okay. Nothing wow about it. The fries were bland and soggy. The chicken bland also. The "limona" was definitely lemony and like drinking straight lemon or lime. I like all middle-eastern food, there are better places out there for sure. read more

I had Uber eats bring me this at work one day. I love Mediterranean food. I ordered the chicken shawarma and some falafel. I would give the chicken a 7/10 but the falafel is extremely delicious. The Uber driver also said she's never had her car smell so good from someone's order and she was headed back to eat it for lunch. Highly recommend. read more

It's painful to write this review but my recent experience was so bad that I feel it's necessary to warn others. Despite encountering grumpy counter service previously, the falafel bowl was good enough to warrant a second visit. However, when I recently stopped by for another, they had no falafel available. Instead I opted for a chicken kabob bowl with lettuce, pickled vegetables, shredded carrots, and tahini along with a side order of flat bread. Unfortunately, the meal was inedible: the chicken was over-cooked knobs of grisly meat, the small amount of lettuce was limp, and the pickle juice covered everything. I ended up eating the flat bread and tahini and tossing the rest. A tough way to lose $20. Lesson learned. read more

The limonana(mint lemonade) was refreshing and tart and sweet all at once perfect!! They are still working out kinks since they are so new; service might be slow so be patient. Came here a few weeks ago right when they opened, when no other customers were in there, and spent over $25. The gyro meat was dry and some pieces were as hard as a rock, it took 20 minutes to get my food, and they forgot the extra sauce I paid extra for. This absolutely some of the best food in the metro east. By father is currently obtaining health care treatment in the area so for the last 60 days we've ate out a lot. We have had great Mediterranean/Levant Coast food in previous areas. I was hoping for a great experience as the east side of the St Louis metro lacks for this kind of food. The food was not bad, but Norma great either. Specifics: The gyro was huge, but lacked tzatziki sauce. There was just a small dollop on this massive gyro. Good components, just lacked sauce. The hummus was good but lacked a lemon component that we like in hummus. Good overall, just lacking what we like. Baba ganoush was good. Texture felt a bit off, but great flavor. The felafel pieces would have been a 10 out of 10, but were too salty. We have experienced a lot of dense felafel before, but these were much lighter with a great flavor and mouth feel except for being overly salty! Several dishes came with these pickle pieces which were awesome. The tabouleh salad was overly minty. I like mint, but the mint-to-parsley ratio seemed to be reversed from taboulehs I have had before. This place will "scratch an itch." I will go back for certain things but I have had much better (and much worse) elsewhere. read more

So you must try it and check it out. But the only thing my friend and sat outside on a patio style in front of restaurant for a great sunny and cool breezy day.
