I told him that I needed a cab for 11:30 and he just said OK and hung up. I then called the same cabbie back from caller ID and asked where he was; he said he'd call dispatch. I could not wait so I called dispatch myself. Cab came, got to destination, he didn't have a card machine. Sorry but I don't carry cash! On the return trip I called, and told dispatch I needed a cab that takes credit cards. I got in, and we traveled a block or so when I asked if he indeed took cards. Nope! He started to pull over and asked me if I needed a cash machine - NO, I am not incurring an ATM charge because of your not taking cards. First charged in December, I've reported to my bank and they literally have to closed my card and issued a new one. The 2nd & 3rd times which occurred on 02-06-2026 , I contacted Uber for help and the Bot at uber denied my claimed. Definitely, need to watch your uber account for this unauthorized charges whenever you order a rides.
