The laundry mat was fine. We got what we needed out of it and didn't have any issues with it. We were a little confused about how to put our money in to the washer as you have to put 2 quarters in each spot, but we eventually figured it out. The only issues I've run into at this place are that the dryer ate my quarters once, the change machine was out of order the only time I needed it, and the business doesn't have updated hours on Yelp, Google, or in the store, so I ended up having to leave a load in the washer overnight. read more

Avoid at all costs - lousy change machine, old and out of order washers, and dryers that are out of order but have no signage indicating as much- I lost 6 dollars in quarters in trying to find one that worked. I had no issues with this laundromat, and my loads washed and dried fine. The change machine worked fine and I was able to get in-and-out in about a hour for my 2 small loads. I did like that the dryer works in 6 minute increments and so you can just start off with a couple quarters and then add a quarter for an extra 6 min time. After 5 turns for me my load was done. There is no pricing listed, so I had to ask the other customers how much it cost to wash and dry. If I remember correctly it was $3.50 to wash, and 50 cents to dry before the 1st 12 minutes and then a quarter for every 6 minutes thereafter. read more

Went here. Nice and quiet. At first no one was there and I has to leave to go get some change. There is a change machine but I had no cash. I came back and some chick was drying her clothes. They have cameras that watch you. I used the detergent dispenser that gives you a box of soap for one load for 75 cents. Then saw that you have to put two quarters in each of the machine slots for the washer. Clothes got clean. I also used the dryer and all but my sweater was dry. I used three quarters trying to get it dry. Oh well. Still a nice place. I'll be back. Nice retro atmosphere. read more

I had about $30 coins taken out of my laundry bag and stolen here, the staff member claimed that because this is a "nice neighborhood" that no one would have taken my coins out of my bag. He also stated he was watching a movie but would have noticed if someone went through my bag. There are several cameras around the place and I asked if we could check to see if anyone grabbed the coins and he said none of the cameras work. This is the first time I've had an issue, because the place is staffed I've always felt comfortable leaving my laundry bag while I run an errand. However this is unfortunate. read more

Since the last review was approximately three years ago, I figure Ill give a review. This laundromat is conveniently located in beacon hill on west cedar street. The hours work well and they were even open during blizzards. Washers are $2.75 per load. Dryers are approximately 6 minutes per quarter. Everything works well and there are signs on machines if not. There is a change machine. It only takes cash. I had no issues getting my laundry done. I cannot speak for their dry cleaning or other services, but I like this place. It works well. I also love the Asian dude who waves hello and says hi to everyone walking to work in the morning. read more

I'm not a huge fan of this place for several reasons. 1. It's apparently the closest laundromat to my Beacon Hill apartment, yet by the time I get there I'm already exhausted from carrying 2 weeks worth of dirty laundry. Not to mention people probably think I'm a homeless person dragging around their life in a bag. There used to be one right on Charles Street, but they closed it. Not everyone who lives in Beacon Hill can afford to get dry cleaning for everything they own..... 2. My biggest disappointment is that I have to stay with my clothes when they are drying because the doors will randomly bust open during its drying cycle. Another persons did that while I was there, and it all came flying out. 3. The machines are outdated, and not efficient. 4. Some really interesting characters go to this particular laundromat. One guy just decided he didn't want to wear his shoes while he was doing his laundry. He was just walking around barefoot. Unfortunately I have no other choices for a laundromat. I'm stuck with this place, and there's nothing I can do about it. If you can just avoid this one. read more

I have been so impressed with the service here. I moved to Beacon Hill last September and there are a plethora of laundromats in the area. Technically, my apartment is closest to Homestyle laundry. I've never been in and I am not sure if they offer a wash and fold service but everyday on my way to the train, I would pass the man who owns the one on West Cedar sitting outside. One day I just stopped to ask him about the drop off services. Wash and fold service is super affordable. I don't know what the price is by weight (I vaguely remember hearing minimum of $10 and then $1.50 per pound after that - don't quote me though!) but I rarely ever pay more than $20 for a FULL laundry bag. Personally, I hate doing laundry so I wanted to find a service I thought was reasonable. I did some research with some of those washing apps and other locations on Charles st. but this was definitely the cheapest (and it is a local business which you can always feel good about supporting!). My clothes all come back smelling great, nicely folded and within literally HOURS. It's the best -- I drop it off on my walk to work and can pick it up on my way back. I don't think I will bother trying anywhere else because I have been so happy here. Hours are 6:30AM to 6:30 PM on weekdays to speak with the owner (who is so friendly and conversational!) and pick up wash and fold. (I know the laundromat itself is open later for self-use, not sure how late though). Side note : I have tried the dry cleaning as well. It took forever to get my shirt back (apparently it was a really tough stain ) but it came back looking brand new so I suppose it was worth it. I am not sure how much dry cleaning normally is but I think this was on the average side in terms of price (~ $5 for the shirt) read more

I've only used their dry cleaning service so I cannot speak to the use of the laundromat portion. My friend got a huge lipstick stain on my new white embroidered satin jacket and after trying tricks from the internet and even Tide-to-go, the stain was still there. There was really not much else I could do, and I brought it to the friendly owner here (didn't get his name) to ask if there was anything they could do. He said that he would communicate with the dry cleaning service he sends the clothing out to, and after a week's wait, they got the stain out completely! I haven't used dry cleaning before, but I though the prices for the jacket ($7.50) and dress ($11.50) were very reasonable given the convenience and location. Especially because they got that stain out. As a side note, usually for the dry cleaning service, if you drop it off before he sends the clothes out in the morning (not sure when that is), he'll have it back by after 6pm the next day. Overall, great, friendly service and quality job on stains! read more

I really want to like this place since it's convenient for me to go to...... Sadly, not the case. I can't speak to their dry cleaning, but as a laundromat - -No change machine, nor will they break bills behind the counter -New mysterious stains on clothing from the washing machines! Has happened on three garments - not the soap or anything. -Machines are dropping like flies! Almost half at this point have "out of order" signs on them. -Place smells overwhelmingly like cigarettes half the times I'm there. A block away is Home Style Laundry on Phillips Street - slightly more expensive, but worth it! read more
