After that, I decided we needed to go to a professional, and that's where Cookie Cutters shines. The stylists here have a knack for calming kids during their haircuts. The environment is fantastic, with a playground, fun car-shaped chairs, and TVs at each station showing kids' favorite shows. While haircuts may not always be perfect--after all, kids have the attention span of a squirrel--the stylists genuinely do their best. We've been going to Cookie Cutters for four years now, and I recommend it to every parent. We visit every other month, and while my son doesn't love haircuts, I appreciate the patience of the stylists as they check in with me to ensure I'm happy with the results. They do a much better job than we ever could, and that's good enough for us!

He was placed in a seat with a tray (not a lap cut option), immediately panicked, and cried throughout the entire haircut. I asked about pausing or stopping, but we ultimately continued so the cut could be finished. Unfortunately, there was little effort to comfort him. I understand; you're trying to get the job done but still. The haircut itself was fine, but the experience felt very stressful for a first haircut. He also left with a bunch of hair on his face mixed with tears, which was upsetting. Overall, I would return only for Laura, but not for a similar experience again for a sensitive child. We are considering coming in for a redo with Laura just to give our little guy a positive re-do experience to sit on the cars and play inside.

Summer was great listen to my daughters concerns listen to what we wanted and asked her what she wanted to be clear so my daughter got exactly what she wanted and we were very happy with the results. After the haircut Summer even put a cute little braid in and put some pink hairspray coloring and glitter. My daughter was just so happy after all of this and is wanting to go back already for another haircut. The shop is very cute they have little cars for the kids to sit in TVs for them to watch with like Bluey and Miss Rachel and Gabby's Playhouse. As you can see in my picture it's painted like a beach theme all around and there's a toy corner! It says they do adult haircuts too and I'm sure they do a good job but I highly recommend this place for your kids. I only have a daughter but I assume they do just as great with boys haircuts too. Even before I talk about the color I want to lift up that a) they use tech really well (I'm on Zoom calls from one end of the day to the other so picking up the phone and calling someone is super difficult for me most days). They responded to my inquiry through Yelp immediately, forwarded my request on to their stylists, and I had an appointment set up within a half hour max. Ended up with Stephanie and she was wonderful! While she was putting the color in I noticed she didn't apply any protective gel or vaseline ahead of time to protect my skin from the dye. I just figured, "Well, I'm not going to see anyone today, if I'm walking around with a dye headband, it's fine." Well, she didn't NEED to put anything on my skin to protect it because she's that good at what she does! The color came out great -- very natural and healthy looking, and really shiny. And not one drop of dye anywhere except for on the roots where it belonged. On top of all this, Stephanie was super nice, as was everyone who worked there. Loved the ambience, too -- the music was sort of 70s classic rock as was the decor. I'm hoping to be out in this area again in the coming year, and definitely plan to go back to them! I've used Great Clips for many years and no shade to Great Clips but the quality and experience is night and day. It just doubles my haircut but again you get what you pay for!!
