I've been here a few times now, in my experiences have been great so far! Wow, they do take walk-ins, I highly suggest getting an appointment there are so many timeslots to choose between. I have been going to Diego the last several times he takes his time and does a really nice job. Yesterday I took my sons in for the first time and was so impressed by his professionalism and ability to work with them. We allow our boys to do what they want with their hair. San Diego took the time to walk them through all the options and what he thought would look best. My youngest son has beautiful, super curly blonde hair and he wanted something different. San Diego took the time to show him options and teach us the best way for him to continue to grow his hair out to achieve what he wanted. My middle son gets his own paragraph! He has been growing out his hair for the last several years and everyone calls him mini Haaland. When he first started growing it out, we didn't have it cut in a way that it was super conducive for long hair. So with Haaland cutting his hair off this was the perfect time for us to start fresh too! My son was very nervous and unsure if he even wanted to get it cut, Diego was super reassuring and allowed him to make the decisions. Rather than just cutting off his ponytail with a buzzer and going short to start, he cut the hair off in chunks so my son would feel comfortable with the length. I've had my hair cut twice now from the Groomsmiths. I only found out about this place from a recommendation from a NextDoor post. I think this is my now go to spot. I've used Great Clips for many years and no shade to Great Clips but the quality and experience is night and day. It just doubles my haircut but again you get what you pay for!! This place is always busy and all the barbers are upbeat and vibe with each other and their customers. I've used Omar the past two visits and have enjoyed his service. I would recommend an appointment but they also do take walk-ins. read more

Update: Sad news as of April 20, 2022. Groomsmith's will be closing by June 2022. There are two barbers remaining here. All others have moved to other shops and even started their own. Called this barbershop today Thursday September 12th at 12:17pm (according to my call log) and asked if they would have time to give my 10 year old son a haircut . The man on the phone told me they would be able to do it and to come in around 6:30pm. My son was EXTREMELY excited because he has a quinceañera (family event) this weekend and couldn't wait to get a fresh haircut ! When my husband and son arrived at 6:20pm they were turned away and told to make an appointment and come back another day because they had no time . called about a hair cut, talked to a man name Bryan. I understand I am probably calling your "personal phone" but be some what professional on the phone. He was unprofessional on the phone. Driven by this place 500 times and always said when stuff opened back up and I was able to get a real haircut again I would give them a shot. Went in on sunday 3/21/21 and saw Cody. He gave a great cut, a good conversation and he worked within all Covid guidelines. Cody was extremely professional, pausing to talk to a walk in about scheduling and explaining the new covid process. I was impressed overall. First let me say that you should ignore the review that says Groomsmiths was closing. Not so! I know because I just had a very good haircut there. When lockdown came, my wife and I worked out a way to do my hair at home. We just kept doing it after conditions relaxed until it was obvious that it was time to get a professional cut. After reading review after review of the different shops, and finding that Groomsmiths was indeed open, I made an appointment online with Angeles Alcantar. Now I've got to tell you that I've been going to barbershops of my own choosing for some 73 years. From the moment I arrived (9am) it was apparent that this was a friendly, inviting and professional shop with five barbers that I saw while I was there. Angeles is an experienced barber who took her time and cut my hair just as I asked. I've entered a haircut in my calendar for every three weeks going forward. I'm so glad to have found a barbershop. My guess is that you will get an excellent haircut from any of the barbers there. Lots of parking since it is adjacent to Whole Foods on Yulupa.
