COO Alex Naumov and his supportive team had to stage and re-package on pallets at least two times before our belongings hit the water. Everything was so well packaged, we had NO damage on ANY of our over 110 separate items- most amazingly dozens of boxes of handmade ceramic tile. Used West Coast Shipping to ship our Volvo from San Francisco to Sweden. On the positive side the car got there in one piece and wasn't damaged. Unfortunately that's where it all the positive things end. In order to pick up our car once it got here we had to pay fees upon entry which were equivalent to $600 or so. So while the original price was decent just know you'll have to pay more and this isn't fully disclosed when you agree to use the provider. The worst part about using West Coast Shipping was the actual pick up of the vehicle. My wife took a train for four hours to pickup the vehicle in a different city. When she got there she was told that the car had no gas and wouldn't start. This is a newer luxury vehicle and while I understand the company would remove the gas during shipping I would also expect that they refill enough to get to a gas station. Instead the protocol seems to be that the customer has to pay to get the vehicle towed in order to get it filled up with gas. I contact the company while my wife was stuck in a different city far away unable to figure out a way to get the car home and they didn't even reply. In addition to that the battery was dead and we had to figure out a way to jump it. Well turns out AMG batteries don't like to be discharged for long and so my wife had to get two jump starts to make it home and now we have to replace the entire battery. All in all the two tow incidents costs $250 each + a new battery $300. The "operations manager" still hasn't gotten back to me or even apologized. None of this was mentioned (that we needed to bring our own gas and a new battery and the tools to replace it on site). Had I known I would have been prepared and not sent my wife. She went as she though it would have been a nice excursion only to be very disappointed and stressed out about the ordeal. I have to ship two cars back to the US in the future and would not consider using these guys again. read more

I want to take this opportunity to review this company that shipped my car from Arlington Virginia to a small town in Sweden (Harnosand). It turned out to be a perfect delivery, through a drop-off I requested at a local Subaru dealer, and then how it felt when I drove it home. I will be the first to admit that I was not the easiest of customers, often questioning things that they must take for granted, but the proof of the pudding is that the staff, each in their your own way, participated in getting my car to me with zero damage, indeed exactly as it was turned over, and for that potential customers need to know that they created a very satisfied customer. I have shipped my car from NY to Ukraine with this company. My account manager was Lena. Finally I did regret so much that I made such a choice. Don't trust to company reviews. The shipping process contains a lot of hidden cost, that are not discussed before. Don't trust to low price of the company. Finally you can pay double or triple price. The company assigned to me its agent at the port of destination. My account manager Lena lied to me that I can change the agent if I would like to do so. In fact, it was not possible. The agent assigned by Lena charges unreasonable fees to make just a change of the agent. Then the agent increased his own fees multiple times after the shipping is made. So I was on a hook and forced to pay without due reason. They threatened, they won't release my car and something will happen to my belongings that were inside of the car. When I asked Lena to help, she let me know that she merely doesn't remember me. That is a standard scam process of the Western Coast Shipping. You bring them a car, pay first low fee and then they forget about you. Later their agent can extort from you fees not discussed before because the car is on a hook. Then western Coast Shipping let's you know they don't remember you. read more

I shipped 5 classic cars with WCS and all arrived badly damaged, there are before and after photos of the vehicles it is a clear cut case. They walked all over the roof and trunk of the vehicles, spilled chemicals on the paint, dented panels, smashed windows, ripped interior and more. We recently made the mistake of shipping a car with West Coast Shipping and if you are reading this because you are considering using them as well DO NOT. The entire process was convoluted and the customer service was horrible. Our "dedicated agent" did not take phone calls and if we were lucky would return a missed call with a vague and occasionally incorrect email. We were given quotes and sold a product that were far from what was delivered. As a cherry on top of a ridiculous experience when we went to pick the car up from customs we sat in the office for over an hour waiting for the driver that we were instructed had arrived. When we finally reached an agent with West Coast I was unapologeticly told to "Knock on the back window of his car to see if he was sleeping in the back seat"...he was. I cannot reiterate enough what a mistake it was to select West Coast Shipping and only hope this review prevents others from making the same mistake we did.
