Had trouble with my swing away tongue on my trailer (welds were cracking and a pin bolt was cracked). This was a major safety hazard, after consulting WCT I decided to have the swing tongue welded solid since I don't use the swing tongue. WCT did an excellent job and replaced the bolts for a very fare price. If you need any work on your trailer I highly recommend WCT. Ask for Wayne he'll take good care of you. read more

I've owned boats for the last 50 years. Until 3 years ago I've always had galvanized steel trailers. Three years ago when my galvanized steel trailer needed to be replaced I called the company that I'd previously bought five trailers from. It took 3 phone calls to finally get a return call. I felt like the salesman had very little interest in talking to me even though I mentioned I'd previously bought a few trailers from them. When I finally got a bid the price and lousy service got me to search other options and I'm so glad that I did! I ended up calling West Coast Trailer and spoke with Wayne. What a great guy! He said he'd be happy to come to my house in San Diego to discuss/measure my 24' trailer. Can't beat that for service! His bid for an aluminum trailer was slightly higher than a new galvanized trailer but based on my experience with galvanized steel trailers rusting and the exceptional service from Wayne I decided to give WC Trailers a try. Great decision! Three years later other than leaf springs and brakes my trailer still looks brand new. There's no way after three years of life in salt water a galvanized steel trailer would look this good. One other thing that I did that I would recommend is after launching I would spray the trailer with Salt Away since there are no wash down facilities in San Diego. I think it is worth the time to do so. If your in the market for a new trailer I strongly recommend giving Wayne at WC Trailer a call. I don't think you'll regret it. I think most would agree that it's hard in today's world to get good service plus a good product. As far as I'm concerned Wayne and WC Trailer have far exceeded my expectations. We had a similar situation to one of the reviews below. Our boat trailer tire went flying off on the freeway at 4:30am on our way to Lake Nacimiento leaving us stranded on the side of the freeway. We take a boys lake trip every year and we were all looking forward to this trip even more this year because the lake was full because of all the rain. Our captain was in jeopardy of lowering his 100% boat launch rate. AAA couldn't help us so we called around looking for a place that could tow the boat and trailer back to my friend's place in HB. Once the tow truck was secured, we started looking for trailer repair shops and we found West Coat Trailer on Yelp. My friend emailed around 5:30-6am. Wayne called before 7am and told us Jeremy would help us out. About 20 minutes later, Anne the axle lady from WCT called and told us to bring the trailer and boat directly to their shop. The tow truck arrived, Jeremy assessed the situation and told us he'd call us when they were done. We were out of there with the boat by 1pm. We are so thankful to Jeremy, Gary, Gar the quiet axle guy, and Anne the axle lady for repairing the trailer and getting us back on the road. We thought we'd lost our boys trip, but they saved it. Set up an appointment with this place. Jeremy came and looked at my trailer and said he would get the Vin number and order the parts. He said he couldn't keep the trailer there so I had to take it back home. 2 days later I called Jeremy asking him for an update and he stated that the trailer parts place hadn't got back to him yet. So I called the trailer place myself and got help within an hour. I order the parts myself. About 2 weeks later Jeremy accidentally called me asking for Mike. I said I'm not Mike but he was supposed to get back to me about my trailer part. He stated, "Oh yes, they will only sell to the owner of the trailer." Jeremy is full of lies and run around BS. So, even though I live 80 miles away, I made the drive to see Wayne because I like things done right! This review is long. Here is a short summary: West Coast Trailers was slow to deliver the trailer West Coast Trailers delivered a trailer that did not fit my boat West Coast Trailers required me to deliver the boat and trailer to the Huntington Beach shop (100 miles from where I keep my boat) to modify the trailer to fit my boat. I purchased a 2007 model boat in 2014. The company I purchased from was in the business of acquiring well used boats, then shining the boats up to sell them. The original owner of my boat apparently used the boat and trailer in salt water. The trailer was painted steel. The company re-painted the trailer so the rust was not obvious. The rust became obvious in 2020. I started searching for a replacement trailer. I located West Coast Trailers and spoke with Wayne Redmond. Wayne was very helpful. Wayne assured me he could provide a new trailer to fit my boat at a fair price in 5 to 7 weeks. June 10, 2022 I sent Wayne a down payment and the year model, manufacturer and model of my boat. 13 weeks later I picked up the new "Sport Boat Trailers" trailer at the Huntington Beach shop. December 5, 2022 I retrieved my boat from the marina. I noticed the boat was supported at only 6 points on the trailer. Two points at the bow end of the trailer bunks and 4 points at the stern end of the trailer bunks. I telephoned Wayne. Wayne asked for pictures. After the snow cleared this winter I obtained the pictures and sent them to Wayne at the Huntington Beach shop. A week later I telephoned to determine what would happen next. I was informed that Wayne was at Sport Boat Trailers in Modesto, California and the pictures would be sent to him there. I telephoned Sport Boat Trailers 3 times and left a message asking Wayne to return my calls. A woman returned my calls after a few days. She requested that I deliver the trailer with the boat on it to the Huntington Beach shop. I reluctantly delivered the trailer and boat 100 miles from Big Bear Lake to the Huntington Beach shop arriving about 1:20 PM Monday May 1, 2023. "Jeremy" stated that he would telephone West Coast Trailers owner, Wayne Redmond to determine what would be done with the trailer. Jeremy stated Wayne Redmond may want the boat and trailer moved to Modesto for modification. Jeremy and I discussed the idea of placing shims under the trailer bunks to conform the bunks to the hull of my boat. Jeremy stated I would get a telephone call the next day, Tuesday May 2, advising me of Wayne's decision. I telephoned the Huntington Beach shop on Wednesday May 3 about 4:00 PM. Jeremy informed me he had placed the shims under the bunks to conform the trailer bunks to the hull of my boat. He stated the work was complete and the trailer and boat were ready to be picked up. read more

Do not use this place!! Had a problem with trailer bearings leaking on a 1 year old triple axle trailer.. They did all bearings 3 brake calipers and a rotor for over $2000. Two weeks later 2 bearings are leaking again and they tell me it needs heavier duty axels and hubs. Why the hell did I spend over $2000 if that's wasn't gonna fix the problem I asked? Replacing everything makes what I did a complete waste of money. No real answer, just BS and a refusal to fix the bearing they had repaired that where leaking again. AAA failed us on Rt. 75 but West Coast Trailers came through like a champ. We had a tire and rim leave the trailer and left us with a broken hub and bearings that we could not move. we tried to get Triple 'A' to tow us (since we had the towing insurance for the boat trailer) and they left us hanging saying they could not find anybody. I called West Coast Trailer to see if they would mind if we had it towed there (if we could find someone) and they said they had on-site service and would come to us. We took them up on this later that evening after 1:00am by leaving an email with them. We got a call from Scott early in the morning to tell us he was going into the shop earlier since he got in touch with his person and was going to get the parts needed to be ready for him when he got there. His person was on the job fixing the trailer before I got back to the boat and trailer on Route 75 and had us going within 90 minutes of us getting there. NOW THAT IS SERVICE!!! Wayne and all of the service was great! I initially came in to replace a bent hitch but Wayne found that inside the tube was rusted and needed to replaced. I had replace the old straight hitch with a folding hitch so I can fit the boat in my garage easier. At the same time I had him fabricate guides that will help center the boat on the trailer. I called and talked to Wayne about some used trailers he had. He seemed like a really nice guy and was very informative. He said I needed to measure the boat to determine what fits. No problem, I had my boat measured and got back to him asking if he could email me pictures since I'm 2 hours away. He never emailed me. I figured he's busy maybe he forgot so I called and left a message during business hours. I also emailed him. After a couple days I made multiple calls during normal business hours and it always went to voicemail. After over a week of my calls and emails being unreturned and no one ever answering the phone I gave up and bought a brand new trailer from another dealer.
