Nice building, unethical leasing office. Our rent was increased by over $2000 in 3 years - an overall increase of over 40 percent. The most recent renewal offer (2023) was a 25% increase from the previous year. When we chose this building we chose it over other buildings with more attractive incentives specifically because we were told that Brodsky's strategy is to keep good tenants and to not make huge jumps in rent year over year. That was the opposite of our experience. As new features were added (a gym and resident lounge) these were not "included" in our increased rent - you are expected to pay additional for them. I can now see that our exact unit is renting for $350 less per month than what we were offered for a renewal, and this is after they've made renovations to the unit. It's painfully obvious that they discount to lure new tenants in and then jack up the rent every subsequent year. If you are looking to live somewhere for more than a year, avoid this management company and this property in particular. read more

I lived at this apartment building for 2 years (only moved out since I had a job change and needed to relocate to California) - I had a 5-star experience from start to finish: the lease application process was seamless and professional and it was a dream come true living in a luxury building where management genuinely cared about tenants' everyday experience and were attentive to all concerns. We have lived here for almost 9 years, since I was pregnant with our son. We brought our son home from the hospital to this building and it's truly the only home he's ever known and we've ever known as a family. Each day, since we moved in, we've felt cared for by the entire staff of the building- one doorman built our son's crib just before he was born and countless others have helped us make our apartment our home. Simon and the leasing team have been flexible and understanding and have always been willing to work with us. There are many tenants here and we strongly feel that the staff has taken the time to get to know us- it means a lot. There are a lot of leasing companies in NYC that we've dealt with but I've yet to feel the personal care that I've felt from Brodsky and the team in our building. STAY FAR AWAY. We loved it up until we didn't. When my fiance was stalked and assaulted by another male tenant from behind in their building, and they never even asked for her side of the story - is pretty disgusting - especially when they never even made sure she was okay. In general, management continually overlooked massive concerns, making excuses for their predatory Super Andrew, who not only Video tapes tenants without permission but also shares it with his employees while encouraging his employees to harass long term tenants, as well as theft. I'm still blown away that they ALSO allowed my fiance to be assaulted in the lobby, while the doorman just walked away instead of helping or getting on duty security. Their lack of accountability has created a toxic and dangerous atmosphere. I'm not sure how anyone can support them, give them money, or feel safe in any of the Brodsky buildings. There is no accountability and management is disgustingly careless and enables this type of dangerous environment to exist. We continue to consider legal action because of this as well as reaching out to press as this type of dangerous environment should not be allowed to exist. Unfortunately the effects of an assault don't end when you move from their building. read more

I've reached out to them 3 times this week about available apartments and received no response whatsoever. Huge flashing warning signs. If this is how they treat prospective tenants, before they are bound by a lease, imagine how they treat tenants who are trapped by an enforceable lease. Run. Run fast. read more

I just moved to West End Towers almost two months ago and it has been incredible. I've put in a few minor maintenance requests and they were addressed within hours. The concierge team is friendly and more than accommodating. Also, the Brodsky team has been very responsive and on top of it! I highly recommend to anyone looking to move to the UWS. read more

The courteous lobby staff and the comparatively lower rental prices are the only two highlights of this building, which is perennially under the control of terrible management. DO NOT MOVE HERE. From April to September each year, residents are not allowed to use their balconies or terraces about 90% of the time due to construction on the exterior of the building. Why the construction? When are the start and end dates of the construction? Residents are told next to nothing, and the lobby staff are completely shut out. The rumor--yes, we only have rumors--is that in order to power wash the windows each year, construction workers have to be hired to make sure that the mortar between the bricks in the façade of the building is structurally sound. But that's absurd! If it takes months each year to examine the entire exterior of the building for gaps in cement, wouldn't it be cheaper and more time-efficient to wash the windows with regular wipes? The building's water is routinely shut off, and residents are lucky if they're given even twenty-four hours' notice. Each tower has three elevators, and even though only one is being renovated at a time, there are far too many instances of all three elevators being out of use, which violates the Americans with Disabilities Act. I am kept awake at night from November to March because of the audible thumping on the pipes that starts at 9 PM. And because the floors are technically hardwood, I hear the sound of heavy objects being dropped on the floor from 6 AM to midnight most days, courtesy of the family with kids directly upstairs. I have lived here for over a year now, and conditions have gotten worse and worse. Save yourself the trouble of living in a building where the management is incompetent and corrupt, and where every waking moment at home gives you stress. DO NOT MOVE TO WEST END TOWERS. read more

I've lived in West End Towers for several years. My main complaint is the noise level. Non-stop sirens and the construction and works on the street below are relentless. Even as I write this, a jackhammer has been going nonstop for the last hour at 10am on a Saturday morning. Honestly, my lease is up for renewal right now and I don't know if I can take another year of the constant noise. If if isn't the construction of the new apartment buildings next door, it's the street being opened up for the 150th time below. My other complaint is that the apartments do not come with a range hood/vent over the stove. Something I have missed every time I cook. I give three stars (instead of 1) because I know the noise isn't Brodsky's fault. The staff are all nice for the most part and there are many pluses to the location. But if you are sensitive to noise, DO NOT take a street facing unit. read more

Stay away Elevator remodel 2 times in last 12 months. Finally trying to get it right this time But surprise! all elevators on our side of the building are out We are up near the 30th floor 2 kids and a stroller any thoughts? hope no one has a medical emergency while they "sort" this one out every week its something or the other They are remodeling the hallways finally. We were totally excited but then found out why. The building is coming off stabilization in october. Jack up the rent I'm sure is coming. They are remodeling units as they vacate as well. Guess they want to compete with the new buildings near the riverside south area. Am sure they will charge similar rents for a 20 year old building with no amenities versus a new one. (unless you call sporadic elevators an amenity) Way to go Brodsky. So if you want to live in a over priced old building built in the 90's sign up. read more

I only looked at the one apartment in my search and fell in love with the place immediately and snapped it up before anyone else could get it! Brodsky management were a pleasure to deal with throughout the process and were quite flexible about my move-in date to be as accommodating as possible. The staff at WET are courteous and professional and I look forward to living here for a long time! read more

Everything about this building has been great. The doormen are helpful and friendly, maintenance requests are addressed very quickly (usually that day). The apartments are pretty standard NYC apartments. Good for the price. We are leaving to move to another city and are sad to leave this place. Have lived here for 4 years. read more

Just moved into the building...the heating seemed not to work and we called to have it checked. According to the management, they comply with an "NYC law" that says that past 10pm, heating need only be supplied if the outside temperature is below 40 degrees (!!!) and the inside temperature is below 55 degrees. All I know is that it was VERY cold for both myself and my husband for the past few nights and that we couldn't turn the heat on in our baby's room (when we did, cold air came out). Sure enough, our 10 month old woke up in the morning with really cold legs despite being in a full, footed pajama. I was told I was the only one in the entire building to ever complain and that there is nothing I can do about it because they comply with the law. Having lived in various buildings in Manhattan for over 12 years, and NEVER having this issue, I am left to understand that other managements were simply HUMANE and allowed us to heat the house while it was still cold and these people will only do the BARE MINIMUM. Will be sure to get out of here as soon as I can. read more

We have thoroughly enjoyed living here for 2 years! The people who work here are wonderful from the doormen to the porters to management. Response time to fixes is super fast. The neighborhood is awesome, the gym is so convenient and I have recommended this building to my friends. read more

We have had nothing but a fantastic experience with West End Towers so far. We are moving in next week, but the service, attention to detail, ease and comfort we have felt up to this point have been top notch. A special thank you to Spencer M. for showing us the apartment many times and being so helpful and genuine in his approach. While we plan to write another review after we've lived in the building for a year, all we can say right now is that the apartment search has been a breeze thanks to Brodsky and the folks at West End Towers. I've been living at 75 West End Ave (West End Towers) for more than 7 years! I have no intention of ever moving! Besides the great location, and the amenities that go along with that (daily shuttle to Columbus Circle!) the building is "user friendly!" The people working this building are friendly, helpful and easy to talk to. Though we've been going through renovations recently, I think the end is near. Even during this period of change, there was little inconvenience. The apartments are so great, and comfortable. I've also made many friends here which is the best part of it. Everyone should come here and look if you're interested in a rental. I HIGHLY recommend it!! read more
