Absolutely disgusting office staff. From front desk to office manager nothing but arrogant…read moreattitude. Made appointment, waited a couple of weeks for appointment only to learn upon arrival they cancelled the appointment due to "incomplete"forms. I had a screen shot of the confirmation that the forms they sent were completed. They claimed that it was not those forms but additional forms.. No apology from them, arrogant didregard for my time, and the fact that they compromised my health by prolonging a much needed check up. I reported to referring physician, at his urging attempted yet again to provide the "missing" data and reschedule the appointment. Again, met with unhelpful and arrogant staff who could not clarify what alleged forms had yet to be completed prior to appointment or they would cancel without further notice. Requested to speak with office manager. Office manager did finally figure out which "forms" they cancelled the appointment over, instead of a humble apologetic attitude, I was met with an arrogant disregard for my experience with them. Despite the fact that I was working very hard to get to the bottom Of which forms they required, and had already been inconvenienced and any diagnosis prolonged at the expense of my health, this office manager continued to reprimand and arrogantly repeat that if I did not Complete the forms they would cancel the appointment again without any further notice! It was so unpleasant I can only imagine what moving forward with this physician's office would have entailed and chose to see a different physician. Cannot comment on the competence of the physician. Good gastro's are plentiful in the LA area I strongly do not recommend this office.

Regardless I remember getting my first colonoscopy at a health south facility. Remember them, I do, from the moment of laying down and having to plead with them to give me anesthesia as they were not sure of the insurance I had would pay for it, thankfully they must have caved, as I don't remember the procedure. Which was the only thing I can be thankful that happened that fateful day. No, when I came to Dr. George came by, didn't stop and dropped off a color photo of a tumor in my colon. I remember asking "what do I do?" He responded on his way to his next procedure "you go to a general surgeon". This was my last interaction/only interaction with Dr. George. Then the nurse informed me that I would likely be wearing a "colostomy bag" going forward. This is 100% how it happened and I was so angry. I was 30 years old and coincidentally this happened on my daughter's 1st birthday. The lack of bedside manner by this POS was mind blowing. I did get my Colon resection by a stud Colon rectal surgeon and wonderful chemo care from a great Oncologist. I'm 54 now and have had dozens of clear colonoscopies and never ever have had this type of treatment. I have had other procedures as well and some that required hospital stays, anesthesia, you name it I've been very fortunate for the care that I've been given. But I'll never forget how pompous and uncaring George was, and I really would encourage you to go to Dr. Daneshagar, who is a lovely man with a local practice.

When I left their office many years ago, my balance was zero. Me and my Insurance Company have paid all there is to pay to the Advanced Digestive Center of Southern California. We have paid every bill and co-pay on time and in full. I have called their billing department to clear things up but the billing representative gave me incorrect information and started listing days, times and procedures that I had never been a part of. I told her she was terribly mistaken that her information was incorrect. I also told her my balance was Zero. She said ok, someone would call me back, but they never did. After reading their YELP reviews, I noticed their billing department has great difficulty with billing their clients correctly. I can see from their Yelp reviews that many, many people have the exact same complaint that I do: billing for no reason, billing incorrectly, etc. Also their employees are terribly rude to customers and could care less about everything, especially YOU. I think it is terrible this company does this same thing to other folks. Like I said, I do not owe this company any money.

Do not get the transoral incisionless fundoplication surgery with Dr. Simoni…read more My husband got this surgery about 2 years ago with Dr. Simoni at a hospital in Riverside. After the surgery, my husband wasn't able to have any follow-up appointments with Dr. Simoni because he left the hospital. My husband has had horrible complications since the surgery...shoulder pain, nausea, and pain when swallowing. Every single emergency room/doctor he's gone to has told him they don't see a problem, but also that they're not well informed on the surgery so that thier may be an underlying problem. Mind you, he's gotten this response on 5 separate occasions. Finally, he was able to track down Dr. Simoni and get a referral from Loma Linda to his practice. The clinic was informed that this is an emergency situation and that my husband is basically on a liquid diet 2 years after his surgery right now. even then they still refused to schedule an appointment for him. Dr. Simoni said they needed a referral from the clinic/hospital where the procedure was performed. Why this is necessary when he already has a referral, and he was the doctor that performed the surgery, is beyond my comprehension. It's extremely unprofessional and says a lot about a doctor when he's making it nearly impossible to schedule an appointment with on of this patients in an emergency situation. My advice: go to a doctor who actually cares, because when complications happen, you don't want to live through the nightmare we're going through and it be handled with such indifferance/carelessness.

However, after being sent to Dr. Gilbert Simoni's office for a FibroScan due to elevated liver enzymes and fatty liver, I encountered a grossly negligent error. The office told me the machine had been calibrated in November 2025, but the results I received indicated a P3 level, dangerously close to cirrhosis. Despite my request, I advocated for additional blood work, which contradicted the scan. I then went further, paying $4,800 for another FibroScan and an MRE, both confirming no fibrosis. I offered to help train the technician and verify the machine's quality, given the recent calibration, yet the office refused. They still demanded a $170 payment at the end. I am sharing this publicly so both patients and physicians are aware: a mistake of this magnitude, despite

I had a colonoscopy for the first time and was nervous about the procedure. Dr. Daneshgar and his team went above and beyond to reassure me that I was in good hands, and I was! His staff was so incredibly kind and caring towards me that it helped calmed my nerves during the procedure. I absolutely love his staff- seriously the nicest people ever! After the colonoscopy I was diagnosed with severe ulcerative colitis. I was on medication and recovering from home. Every single day (including weekends) Dr. Daneshgar called or texted me asking how I was feeling. Do you know any other doctor who would do that?! He truly cares about his patients and I am so grateful that he is my doctor. BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE! Since my condition was so severe, I was admitted in the hospital. Dr. Daneshagar called the hospital ahead of time and had already secured me a bed and made all the arrangements. All I had to do was check in. Now, I've never been admitted in a hospital before and dealing with a new disease is hard enough and having my doctor with me every step of the way made this entire situation easier and made me feel like I was in good hands. I was in the hospital for 5 days undergoing more aggressive treatment and infusions. Every day Dr. Daneshagar would visit me in the hospital to see how I was doing. He is the most caring and most genuine doctor that I have ever met. He is the best in his field and knows what he is doing when it comes to your health. I am so thankful that I have him as my doctor. I am now at home and feeling 100x better than when I had first met Dr. Daneshagar. A special THANK YOU to your staff!! Carole (thank you for knocking me out-MVP) , Jackie (you're the best, I couldn't have done that procedure without you), Winnie, Teresa, Monica, Lizz and Nayeli. You ladies are amazing and thank you for what you do.

I explained to the receptionist that I was still in a great amount of pain even with the pain meds that the ER prescribed and that Dr. Johnson was the 4th GI doctor I was calling for an appointment because the others I called didn't have availability for 2-3 weeks. The receptionist said they had a cancellation today and offered me the appointment but then asked for $150 new patient deposit. I let her know that I did not have the money for a deposit as I am starting grad school on the 27th and just purchased my college textbooks but I offered to pay my $40 copay which is not typically collected up front with my health insurance. She said she'd check with the doctor and call me back. She called me back and said the doctor wouldn't see me without the full $150 deposit. I work for a large corporation and I have GREAT health insurance through my employer and I have already met my deductible for the year. There is NO reason why I should have to pay a "new patient" deposit to see a physician who accepts my health insurance. I've seen quite a few specialists over the years and also worked as a medical receptionist in several different offices and never heard of anything like this EVER. Even if I could borrow the money I still wouldn't want to see him because he proved what kind of physician he is, one that cares more about money than patient care. Disgusting.
