If I could rate West Georgia Endodontics at a 0, I would. Initially, everything was seemingly alright. I came in, had the x-rays taken and that went swimmingly. Before the procedure began, I notified the hygienist that I needed extra nitrous because I am harder to numb and have very sensitive gums. I also informed Dr. Green of this when he came in. Before the work began, Dr. Green inserted a block into my mouth to widen everything. He gave me three injections for pain blocking as well as some numbing cream. The third injection was done before I was fully numb and excruciatingly painful, so much so that it rendered me to tears. The nitrous was working some, but I was still feeling everything. Then, Dr. Green began work, even after I notified him I was still not fully numb. As he worked, he also left the suctioning tool in my mouth. He did not move it, use it, anything, and the buildup of saliva in my mouth and throat caused me to start gagging. When I tried to readjust the tool to get some reprieve, Dr. Green suddenly stood up and left the room. I was later informed that I had to take additional x-rays, even though the work had already begun. While Dr. Green was away, I asked the hygienist again for more nitrous because I was still feeling pain from Dr. Green's work. At this point, the hygienist admitted they had only slightly open up the gas and not much was coming my way. Dr. Green returned a short while later to resume his work. I'm still extremely uncomfortable at this point, and shortly, the gagging begins again due to saliva buildup. Once Dr. Green finishes, he abruptly stands up and walks out of the room, leaving the hygienist to kill the gas and for me to return to my normal, attentive state. After a few minutes, I'm starting to gather myself and Dr. Green returns, this time, brooding over me with his hands on his hips. He informed that I had both "dental anxiety" and "had caused he and his assistant a fit" due to my trying to adjust the suction tool. When I replied to him, saying that I did not have dental anxiety and that I was not numb enough for the procedure, that I still felt the pain of what he was doing, I was sharply told, "I know you were numb. you were completely numb. I know that for sure. if you felt anything, it was the bumping of the tool against your gums." I was about to really light into him when he dismissed me again to tell me that, "all I know is the procedure was done and done well. I'll call your doctor to let him know of my work." I cannot fully articulate how badly I do not, nor do I want anyone else, to go and give Dr. Green another cent of hard-earned money. He is egotistical. He is arrogant. He is condescending. He has less than no bedside manner. He does not listen to his patients, care about their needs, or anything of the sort. He is quick to judge and dismiss, shadowed only by his ability to compliment and brag on his own work. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. Spend your money elsewhere. read more

Dr Starkey is no longer at this office so it's not as good as it was. The new Dr Green is nice but not very knowledgeable and his assistant is not nice at all. She's rude and snappy. The front office staff are pretty good NOW. But I won't ever use them again because unfortunately they are not able to live up to the standards that Dr Starkey set. read more

People like Dr.Green are exactly the reason why I avoid any kind of dental treatment even when I'm suffering in pain. He's arrogant, egotistical, and an all around gaslighting a-hole. Towards the beginning of the appointment I had opened up to him about my trauma and having been diagnosed with PTSD, which gives me bad dental anxiety. He claimed to have been understanding, but we all know psychological and mental health issues are greatly undermined in society as not real health issues... Anyway, the first round of x-rays went okay & during the root canal I only gagged once, but once the root canal was over and we were attempting to do the last set of x-rays I was feeling a bit nauseated since he had been in my mouth for so long at that point, my gag reflex is already sensitive so I was having a hard time keeping the x-ray positioned in my mouth. Instead of giving me a breather, he's so in a rush to take my money and go home that he keeps FORCING the x-ray tool in my mouth, even though at that point I'm ugly-crying trying not to vomit. All he says is "it's okay we have trash cans". And accuses me of not being willing to work with him even though the entire procedure is done at that point. When I cried in frustration to what he just did he said "I'm not moving it even if you're crying". At that moment I had ENOUGH and had to teach him a lesson on patient consent since he should know being that he acts smarter than everyone else. So he makes me get up out of his chair and says to find a new endodontist. As if shoving the tool further in my mouth while berating me like a child was going to relax me enough to get the job done. No doesn't mean no to him. And as a victim of s*xual assault my consent as a patient is my number one concern. He's not patient or caring. Not understanding at all. I had done great otherwise but just needed a breather at the end. But he was concerned about whatever was so important that he needed to leave for the day. He was also witnessed yelling at his sweet staff members by my mother who was standing in the waiting room. He was on a complete power trip. And when my mom commented on how he was talking to his staff, he told her not to speak to his staff as if they're his personal possessions (she actually wanted to compliment them because they were great, just not him) & insulted my mother on how she raised me. Go anywhere else. He IS THE WORST. read more

I had a very good experience with dr green. This is my second root canal that he has done for me. The office staff was very nice. They gave me the procedure cost way before my appointment so no surprise when I got ready to leave. They made me as comfortable as possible during the procedure. There is a lot of drilling involved. But I did not feel any pain at all. read more

My experience with the West GA Endodontics was a positive one. The entire staff were very professional and kind. I needed a root canal, and when I called for an appointment was able to come in the next day. Dr. Green and his assistant Rita were patient and considerate. Unprofessional all around. Dropped equipment during procedure, having to leave room to get more. Put goggles on me that were filthy. Mentioned this, they giggled and said their cleaning solution wasn't the best. Ended up with a rash on my face from goggles. Went to check out and was told what they figured I owed. I questioned the amount, but paid and asked for a copy of the bill/estimate, as it would be sent to insurance, but she said I did not need it. Asked again, and was rudely told I was good to go. Finally got the EOB from insurance, sure enough, they charged me much more than insurance was allowing. Stay away from these jerks. They need to be reported. read more

Decent endodontist, awful billing experience. Don't go here if you want to use your insurance! They will not honor contract allowed amounts or do contractual adjustments. I spoke with Dr. Green he said, "that's not how I do business". Here are the facts: 1. The office staff lied to me about my insurance being in-network. a. While not in-network at the time of service, they were in-network when I received the bill. b. The office staff later alluded to an "ongoing issue" with my insurance, which gives reason to perhaps respond "yes" when asked if the insurance was in-network. 2. When I called to speak with Dr. Green he told me he wouldn't honor contract amounts even if my insurance was in network because it was too steep of a discount. 3. When I mentioned that it's normal billing practice to apply contractual adjustments he insulted me by saying, "you don't know what you're talking about". 4. Dr. Green was unreasonable and continued to be insulting when I attempted to come to a compromise. Bottom line, this is horrendous customer service, especially considering the fact that the office is in-network with my insurance now. I paid the bill in full, and that's fine. He apparently needs the money more than I do. read more

Dr. Starkey is the best! I have this fear of dentists and I was terrified of getting a root canal. He made the process go smoothly and quickly. I didn't feel like I was in the chair forever. If there was even a tiny amount of pain, it was taken care of. He made me feel comfortable and relaxed. If I need a root canal in the future I wouldn't go anywhere else. Dr. Starkey and his team deserve 10 stars. Tooth pain is the worst and I had been in bad shape for a few days prior to my appointment. This was just the initial consultation mind you. After assessment and seeing the pain I was in, Dr. Starky offered to do the root canal right then. They could have easily sent me home to wait but was kind enough to take care of it quickly. That is not even the best part. The actual procedure was easier than a filling! They are so professional and the office is so calm. It was just an overall great experience. Never thought I would rate a root canal but here we are..... Long story short, it's rare to find such compassion and great service these days. read more

Dr. Starkey and his staff were awesome! I would recommend them to anyone I know that needs to see an endodontist. I can't say enough great things about them. My root canal therapy went so smooth and I had minimal pain after the procedure. I only had to take ibuprofen a few times. Definitely recommend him and his team. read more
