If I could I would give them a zero. Had my fence installed and a rep came out, told me the nails were out in wrong and that I was still under warranty, and they would fix the repairs at no charge. One of the worst situations I've ever dealt with.Im way late with this review but better late than never. The crew who did the install were incompetent. They left top rails off the fence in some areas. They should have butted my fence up to the neighbors but left a 5 inch gap that the dog could get through. They also left the water running after they left. I called and after being jerked around a guy came to inspect. Finally someone came out and finished except for the 5 inch gap. When I called about the water issue the woman whined and said "water is so cheap, the cheapest utility there is". Absolutely DO NOT use this company!!!If I could I'd give them a zero!!! read more

The crew that came to my house were fast and efficient. It was a two man crew and they got started around 8:30 after walking the future fence site with me making sure I "okayed" the layout. The only reason I gave this 4 stars was the scheduling. We had an estimate around end of December and had the fence done around the second week of February. They need people to be on site when the fence is started (which I understand) but when you and your spouse have jobs and schedule the fence on an off day then the fence is pushed out due to unforeseen things at another site, can be frustrating. In my opinion, the receptionist didn't seem as understanding as she could have been. But in the long run, I would definitely recommend this company and I would use them again myself if need to be. read more

Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. They will not honor their product and blame any issues on the weather. Never mind that the gate damage resulted in a poorly constructed gate in the first place... the crew that came out to install was very unprofessional and many of the boards are inferior. The company wants to charge me $100 to fix a hinge damaged I. The 1st month due to a poor initial install that another fence contractor commented on when they came to install an automatic gate. Avoid West GA fence unless you pick their work apart board by board... before payment... they won't honor the "one gate adjustment within the first year" either. read more

Called twice 10 days apart left message with Receptionist, the second time Receptionist seemed bothered I called ya ahuh ya ok, still no returned phone calls. They were very prompt showing up for the estimate as well as the install date. They were one of the more reasonable estimates. I had a couple hundred feet of fence installed. They dug the post holes by hand. They definitely did not dig as deep as I would have liked, nor did they use nearly the amount of concrete as I would have to set the posts. It is only my opinion that they did not dig deep enough or use enough concrete. I am not saying that the fence will not hold up over time. However, there were a few things, as expected, that I needed addressed after the install, that I did not catch while the installers were still on site. Several of my phone messages went unanswered, until they realized that I had not paid for the fence yet. When they contacted me for payment, I told them that I would pay as soon as my concerns were addressed. Of course, they showed right up. The installers actually chastised me for making them come back and for me not noticing these things before they left the first time. And lastly, after my concerns were addressed and my bill was paid in full, I noticed that one span of fence had over 9.5 feet between the posts. While I would never put that distance between posts if I built the fence (and I have built a few), they said that this was not uncommon. I am not comfortable with it, I even offered to pay for an additional post to be installed at their convenience, when they were back in my area. I spoke with a woman who claimed to be the owner. She said that they would come by. That was 2 months ago. Not holding my breath. read more

I had my fence installed on February 27, 2020 (Thursday) and I am pleased with the finish product. My only concern is that I did not get a call back with a thank you for choosing my company or how do you like the fence etc. I called into the office before the crew left to ask about a receipt and was told by a gentleman that it would be mailed out the next day(Friday) after the payment was received. The payment was given to the crew upon completion of the job. The workers also stated we don't have receipts they will mail you one when we turn in your payment tomorrow. I did call in on March 9 and inquired about my receipt and why haven't anyone called or responded. I was told its a small business and that they really don't have the man power to do that. Simple customer service etiquette (thank You) does not hurt whether you are a big or small company. You had the man power to call and set up the appointment...... it's simple have the same common curiosity on the back end. read more

Beware. Terry cannot measure. Terry came out to give estimate of @ $3800. When crew arrived they immediately said that the measurement was not correct. Ended up costing over $4000. Crews will not work in rain. I was trying to schedule install around my schedule. Ended up having to have my Mom meet crew because I was out of town when crew was willing to work. Not a happy experience. After reading my negative review WGF is now claiming that my fence line was blocked by bamboo at the time of the estimate. Then I cut down all of the bamboo before the install. I have not one stick of bamboo on my property today or ever. The fence line was the exact same on day of estimate and day of install. It is very unprofessional to lie to your customers. Shame on you. You got a bad review. One of many. Suck it up. read more

We had a fence installed last July 2019 by West Georgia fence company and March 2020 one of the post was bowing. I contacted the company and ask if they would replace it, they told me the only thing under warranty was if a dog ear bowed if I took it off and brought it to them they give me a new one and it would cost me a $150 to have the post replaced, and we spent over $5,000 on the 6 ft privacy fence. I called other fence companies in the area and they all told me yes a bowed post in that short of time would be replace by them free of charge. read more

I should have read reviews before reaching out to this company. I'm not sure they care about how they are represented but based on some of the reviews here and others I've since read, they may need to start caring. If anyone from this company reads this, please know that your customer service person/team needs a lot of work. I don't know if it's a family member or family friend but if Ember has to be the customer facing member of your team, she needs training. The work you all do may be great, you may offer unbeatable prices, and your installers may be a pleasure to work with, BUT many may not get to experience any of this because they don't want to move forward after discussing a quote because of the poor service provided on the front end. You may not think this is a big deal, but think of all the business you may have never even known about because the potential customer moved on to another company after just one call/email with your customer support rep(s). I wanted a general quote for capped fences based on the linear footage I already had. I provided this and all other info (ie...address, phone, etc) that was requested on their website and had to go back and forth through several emails and finally a phone call (that I made) just to get it. The emails came over like texts (poor grammar and all) and kept asking for info that had already been shared. I finally called and the same person answered the call (I was definitely hoping for someone different). She seemed irritated right from the start and didn't even pretend to want to be helpful. I had a privacy fence installed by West Ga Fence and it looks great. I have a huge backyard and wanted to block out neighbors. I love that I can let my dog go outside by opening my back door now. There are no gaps for my dog to escape. Also, I needed access through the fence to clear out overgrowth behind me and wanted a drive through gate on the side. Both doors still work great and it's been over a year! Their prices were fair (especially for my size yard) and I got 4 quotes, they were on time with completing the job and they were courteous. They were a little late getting to our house but they worked swiftly to get the foundation laid for our fence. The next morning (on a Saturday), before the sun was up, they were in our yard working on our fence. They sent a 5 man crew and over the course of two days; it took them only 5 total hours to install our fence. The work was swift, precise, and professional. Terry came out to do an estimate for our fence. He told us that he would send us the estimate later that day (Friday). The weekend came and went with no estimate. Monday, I called the office and spoke to Ember, the receptionist and told her that Terry came out last week and said he was going to send us an estimate, but we never received it. Ember told me I needed to call Terry and gave me his cell phone number. I called Terry and again asked for the estimate. He told me he was "out doing estimates", but to text him my email address and he would send it within the hour. Again, we never received the estimate. This company clearly does not want our business. If I cannot even get an estimate, I can't imagine what kind of work they actually do. I know I will not being doing business with them and I cannot recommend them to anyone. If your needing a Quality fence done, don't use this company at all. They were supposed to install a privacy fence and when they started the job, they had 3 guys who didn't speak English good, didn't listen to where the lines were suppose to go, where it was to start or where the gates where suppose to be. Almost every post was either cracked or weathered wood that they tried to use. Posts all leaned either to the right or left and none were straight. The 2 x 6 used were 80% damaged and marked with yellow & green lines showing that they were not good pieces of wood to use. It was cheap, defective wood. The panels weren't any better because they were cracked, warped, and uneven. Told this to owner who refused to fix the issues except he only wanted to change a few boards but leave the rest so had them stop working and pull everything out and take with them. When they started to remove the posts, he just lifted half of them straight up because the cement they used wasn't mixed right and half of the posts where loose. As you can see in the pictures, I would stay far away from this company!! read more

West Georgia Fence Company was suppose give us a quote for a repair or replacement of a fence on 4/11/2019, but since it was only a repair or replace the project manager decided not to come out. I called on 4/3 s/w Amber, she was going to have Stacy (male) call back when he got in. No call. I called again on 4/9/2019 s/w Amber and she transferred me to Stacy. He sounded overworked, stressed and just not wanting to do the estimate. He complied he had to finish up the work he had in front of him and then on 4/11/2019 Thursday he would be out to give an estimate. It is now near six o'clock pm and he still hasn't shown up. Fence looks great and the workers were very pleasant and curious! HOWEVER the customer service representative Lori is horrible to deal with. It is a shame that the face of this company is represented by such a disrespectful and rude individual. I should've taken heed to the other reviews. We had Scott E. come out and give us a quote. We talked about the way the fence would attach to the back fence over a drainage ditch, leaving all the pickets up from the ground to avoid them rotting from standing water, and we had a quote in hand before he left. We chose to go with their company. It took us over 15 days for our HOA to approve, but they honored the price. UNTIL, 2 days before the fence was to go in, we get a call wanting $200 MORE due to a miscalculation on their part. When I called to speak to someone of higher authority than Scott (general manager), apparently I was speaking to the owner who didn't identify herself, but simply directed my call back to Scott without resolution. It took 4 hours of my day going back and forth to get them to honor the quote that was legally binding. That alone wasn't enough to make me want to leave negative feedback because they eventually resolved the issue and I paid what we agreed on - everyone makes mistakes. But then the crew comes out to install the fence...nothing that was spoken about during the quote process was told to the crew installing the fence. My pickets were put directly touching the ground, there are fence posts in the middle of the drainage ditch that were supposed to be put on the side and then the pickets extended over to the back fence. The pickets were supposed to be raised 4" over the drainage ditch for me to put wire mesh under to allow the water to flow under, and on one side they are about 2" off the ground but on the other they are touching the ground. My fence is not completely 6" onto my property as it was supposed to be. When the crew was here they asked me if we wanted a gap closed in between our back fence and our neighbor's on one said (which was in the quote) and said it wasn't on their plan. The fence looks good enough, but the customer service and fact that things were not carried out the way they were originally discussed was disappointing and I can not recommend this company. read more
