First of all, I think the price is a bit high for the little it includes. I think it was $12 per kid (adults free) but all that gets you is access to the climbing/slide area. You have to buy a card for all the games, rides and other activities. However, it was nice to let our kids run around for a bit, although of course they didn't want to spend time in the climbing area when there were games and other attractions all around. One other nice thing is you can leave and come back all day long. We choose to grab lunch elsewhere and come back for some more fun. Don't think I would be back but happy it was available when we needed somewhere to go!

There were only 5 of us, so plenty of time to climb. Our Guide, Bob, was so patient, engaged and informative. I learned a lot of great things that I had not known before about clothing, ropes and technique. Bob was so patient with me and was there with his " green pointer" to help me over the tough spots. You should know that I am 74 years old and tho I have climbed indoors for a few years, my stamina was not that of the youngsters who were there! Nonetheless, it was a great time! I highly recommend Valley to Summit, this being my 3 rd trip with them. They Rock!

Absolutely amazing professional guides!!…read more I hired this company to guide me through the winters treacherous water fall trails of Ricketts Glen that is normally closed off for hikers that don't have the explicitly specific required safety gear for winter hikes which this company provides. The guides were patient and helpful with the small group in getting gear on and going over all the safety equipment. They were never impatient with anyone and insanely kind. You could tell the guides truly enjoyed bringing everyone out to this amazing trail at Ricketts Glen State Park. I wasn't sure what to expect but OMG it was worth the money spent to have these guys/gals guide me through the trails. I took tons of pictures and was never rushed at all while taking in the views and photos. This company comes highly recommended amongst the hiking community even out of state.

My daughter…read moremissed the older group cutoff by one month and they were forcing her to stay in the "toddler" group when she is nearly 6 years old and has 3 years experience with multiple gyms. Their drills for "toddlers" are ridiculous, throwing a bean bag, walking across a mat, it's very childish and for babies. They have very young girls teaching the classes and they seem to just be focused on making a profit. When I inquired about moving my daughter up bc she was bored, they refused to even offer to test her and then ignored my email completely and rejected her entrance to the older team, when she can do multiple tricks and is close to completing a back hand-spring. She wasn't even allowed to do cart wheels in the "toddler" group. Everything is solely based on birthdate and not skill. We switched to Synergy and they immediately tested her and advanced her to the higher group. Synergy is much more professional and they are focused on training girls to become gymnasts and not making a profit.

We used to walk by the papermill, play in the stream and feed the ducks at the duck pond. Nice place for recreation and an outdoor picnic lunch. I visited today with my Dad and we walked a bit of the trail and read the recently added memorial for victims of violence (law enforcement and military in the line of duty, domestic violence, people killed during crimes, etc.). The memorial is a very relaxing and peaceful area with engraved benches and trees which are good for solitude and reflection.

What a wonderful private club. From the moment you arrive on property you know you're in for a…read moretreat. The slow winding road that leads to the clubhouse shows you a fair amount of the course to whet your golfing appetite and upon arrival the staff is super friendly, always willing to help and provide and assistance necessary. The course itself stretches out to around 6800 yards and plays with aedans meandering mix of doglegs, uphill and downhill tee shots, no tee shot is dull. The tees themselves are perfectly level and well maintained. Once in the fairway they are well manicured and rarely will you see an area of imperfection. Greens are large and undulating, don't go long and always play more break than you see. Rough is penal but fair and even throughout the course, you won't get that "surprise" crazy tough lie in the rough. Bunkers were perfect, very playable and appeared to be uniform throughout the course. Only issue I had was hole 14, it's a wildly winding par 5 (play it as a 3 shot) that if you don't know where you're going you will be stuck a few times but the green is not nearly as undulating so once there bird is in play. Overall it's a great course, I would love to play it again!

Men's events last for days that shut down the club and women's facilities, such as the women's locker room, are not updated like the men's. Women do not get equal representation on committees and the overall vibe is that women golfers are a nuisance. Go anywhere other than Concord if you don't want a misogynistic country club stuck in 1950.
