The experience was great, only downfall is that everyone knows this as it was SUPER busy.

We were looking for a place to take our five year old granddaughter so she could try mini golf for the first time. The course is well maintained and the bonus for us was having a practice green with three holes - our granddaughter loved trying it out before we got to the first "official " one. At hole eight, she declared she had to go to the bathroom- uh oh - we had to walk to the clubhouse, a bit far but the restroom was clean. Luckily we were able to slip back in and finish our game. Reed was rushing us the entire time and was even grabbing flags and turning off lights while we were playing, about 30 minutes before close. Just would love if we could enjoy our round and not have the employees (Reed) on our ass the entire time. read more

Perfect spot to spend a summer afternoon with the fam.. This is one of the nicest mini golf courses I have ever played on.. I have been here a couple times now and both times were super fun. The staff is really nice and they got snacks and sodas galore.. Heck buy a bucket a balls for the driving range too.. This spot is a hole in one! No mulligan needed! read more

Don't say you're open till 10:00 if you stop selling mini golf (that takes 30 minutes max ) at 9:00. Annoying to drive there and have them turn the open sign off when you're walking up and other people are still mini golfing. read more

Nice little mini golf course! Not overly challenging but not so easy you Just breeze through without difficulty. Nice water features to add something pretty and water hazards at the same time. Seems to be a big draw for families but it's fun for couples too. They open earlier than some of the other courses in the area which is nice too. Tip: If you play additional games they are cheaper than the first game. read more

I've hit balls at this range several times over the years and while they are a little higher priced than most ranges I like the convenience. Bought a new putter last night and thought I would break it in here since they have a putting green that I had never used before. Checked in and asked the employee how much just to putt and he said "let's call it $5". I thought that was a bit pricey but went ahead and paid. Went out to the "putting green" and found what was closer to my backyard than a green. All of the holes had grass growing over top of them and there were dandelions scattered around the "putting green" as well. Tried to get the feel of my putter for a couple of minutes and gave up. Walked back through the clubhouse and informed them of how bad this green was and all I got was this... "Yeah, we know, they sprayed it the other day though." Never again will these folks get a penny of my cash. They knowingly charged me for something that they knew to be unusable for it's said purpose and didn't even blink. read more

Stopped in after a Yelp event to burn off some of the calories we just digested. 18 hole miniature golf course with many modern updates on the holes. Took us a little over an hour to complete the course. The offered cold drinks and ice cream as well. read more

We decided to play a round on Friday night. It's a happening little spot. The guy where you pay and get your club and ball seemed less than happy with his job and it showed. He wasn't inviting at all. The game went really fast. It's a easy course. It's not very challenging. I do like the little ponds on the course, hit my ball into two of them. They have nets to get your ball out. There's not any hills or anything amazing about this course. Pretty simple. You deff get an Iowa feel with the corn fields around it. It had been years since I'd gone miniature golfing and so I chose to do it for my birthday. There were quite a few people already on the course on the nice August night. The course looked rather nice with some obstacles (water, curves, etc). As we played, the beginning holes were easier and got a bit more challenging. However, I did not find any of them to be that hard. Due to the lack of rain this year, some of the water features were dry. I commend them for not adding more water back in since we are so dry but it would have helped the overall experience. It really was an enjoyable evening and we would come back. read more

Sarah Ward has made golf enjoyable for me again! I have been taking lessons with Sarah for nearly a year now. Even with an extremely busy schedule, Sarah's lessons have helped me see tremendous improvements in my golf game. My natural shot has shifted from a big fade to a slight draw. Even when something goes wrong with my swing: her advice is easy to understand and simple to execute on. I have tried 4 instructors over the last three years, but Sarah is a head and shoulders above the rest. I have been wanting to find a goofy golf course since I moved to Des Moines. What's goofy golf? Well apparently around these parts its just called mini golf. This was a nice little course, not quite goofy but still fun. We went on a super hot day so there was only one other couple playing which was nice. We could play at our own pace and take advantage of the minimal shade spots. The holes are pretty straight forward, no crazy obstacles. There is some great water features, really makes the course look lovely-until your ball goes in and you have to fish it out with a net! I believe they charge $1 or so for a lost ball. All in all this was a fun spot to go with a friend, significant other or a group. Kids would enjoy it too! For more avid golfers there's a driving range as well. The man working in the little "hut" seems pretty lackluster about his job but that could have been because it was so hot out! I wouldn't mind coming back to play again but Im still searching for a real goofy spot! read more

Best driving range in the area. Plenty of hitting areas with numerous targets, and a great short game area. I like that there are so many yardage placards to help determine target distances. I've taken a few lessons with Sarah and couldn't be happier. My game turned around after just one session. She is great for beginners and accomplished golfers, alike. I've never played mini-golf here, but given that it's always busy, I assume that's fun as well. read more

Came out here for some mini golf, they have a beautiful secluded location just outside of west Des Moines! I like that it's off the beaten path a bit. At first glance, the course didn't look too big, but it took us about an hour to get through it, and it was filled with some challenging sections. Could benefit from more intensive grounds maintenance to keep tees lush and soft, and putting green a little shaggy and could be much faster. Bunkers need tournament quality sand. This was a wonderful course! Each hole was completely different and it used the natural environment very well. It was a little difficult to find at first since this is nestled near the river and woods and isn't on a main road. I preferred that this wasn't in busy area of town however because I went at night and we were near the river and woods, the bugs were biting! I would recommend wearing some bug spray if you decide to pay a visit here in the early evening/night! read more

Not a good experience today, normally I have a good time there but today I was chipping on to the chipping green and instead of buying a bucket I just took some off the chipping green and hit those, after 1 min a employee came out and told me I cant take them off and i have to buy them (which I thought was weird because everyone I know and I have asked who has chipped on the green has done with same thing as me). So I said okay I understand and I stopped doing it. About ten minutes later a different golfer went over and did the same thing as me but he was taking whole buckets of balls from the chipping green and hitting them on. I didn't see the employee tell him to stop so he hit about 3 buckets and left, so i went on and grabbed a few more since he was doing it, and as you guessed it the same employee came out and told me to stop. I was so angry and told the employee the guy picked up like 3 buckets and asked how he didn't see the guy but he saw me pick up a few. Not a good day at West Grand read more
