Everybody that works here is great, courteous and extremely helpful. Being part of the WLS, you can go on-line, browse what you want (books, CD's, DVD's), place a hold on it and it will come to your local branch for pickup. The beauty of it is that you have access to the whole of Westchester's library system from New Rochelle to Cortlandt Manor at your fingertips. Plus they have parking!

The room that the classes take place in is large so there are no limits to who can attend. There are plenty of comfy chairs and private desks to use, a bunch of computers and everything is on a single floor. The parking can be a pain, as is the case with most of the Westchester libraries. The lot is usually full and is one-way, so getting out can be a pain. However, there is usually parking nearby, so it's not impossible, albeit a bit of a walk. The bestttt part about this library is its location and proximity to an awesome playground for younger children. The double swings are so unique, the rubber flooring is young child and post-rain friendly, and it's walkable to a nearby deli, CVS, Dunkin Donuts, etc. We've had some great mornings and afternoons here!

There used to be a charge, but not any more. The library itself has numerous quite spots in which you can sit in a comfortable chair with a nice view and quiet. It has recently built a large patio to the northern side--near the parking lot--which seems popular. It's a quintessential Bronxville institution, but seems to have a broader number of users than just Bronxville itself.

There are some nice folks that are willing to help but there are definitely some unfriendly folks. For example, multiple times, I have wandered into the back section (have not approached the reference desk) and the person at the reference desk has snapped at me "what do you need." It's happened multiple times and at first I thought I was in a restricted section and that was the cause of the unfriendly reception. There are also some front desk people that are not friendly. I will say Miss Anne and Miss Judy(?) as well as some of the ladies in the children section have made this location redeemable. I try to time my visits for when they are there. Otherwise I will go to Dobbs Ferry as that is also a nice library and is a bit more welcoming.
