It's ok, not great. When we got there, the water slides weren't open, which really cut down on what was available to do. There isn't a regular free-play pool, unless you/your kids pass a swim test. That leaves a small lazy river and kids' splash zone. It's a diversion to break up the summer days but not somewhere we'd visit very often. Not without a regular pool to play in. read more

I see some negative reviews on here but I go here often and there are rules but that is to keep a lot of people combined in the same area, safe. The lifeguards are friendly if you follow the rules. They don't make the rules, just enforce them. The breaks are so the chemical levels can be checked and this is for your safety. Instead of criticizing why not try praising them for keeping you and your family safe? Also, regular clothing can damage these levels and that is why swimsuits are required. Blasting someone for keeping everyone safe is ridiculous. If you want to swim without kids go to an adult only pool and not a family pool. Come on people! read more

Fun afternoon in the sun. My daughter was invited to the West Irving Aquatic Center as part of a party. We had many friends here including Moms. My son came and brought a friend. You will likely need to park in the lot just east of the center and walk over the bridge. There is different pricing for Irving and non-Irving residents but I felt both pricing were reasonable. If you bring a cooler, you will be accessed an additional fee of, I think, $5. There is plenty of shady seating. The park has many different pools and a few slides. Your child can take a swim test to go in the deep pool and on the rock wall. There is a reasonably prices concession stand with nachos, snow cones, chips, and the like. There are comments about the lifeguards. They aren't friendly but they are busy keeping an eye on the swimmers. There are lots of lifeguards too. I was impressed with the number of them. Yes, they are seemingly always blowing their whistles. I felt like the swimmers were well-monitored. I thought the park was overcrowded. They also shut down every two hours for 15 minutes to clean the pool. The lockers were broken. read more

WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME. Talk about a WASTE OF MONEY! first off. Their website is misleading on prices. It says ages and have the price $2-$3. Then at the VERY bottom it says nonresident. Not that it even says $2-$3 residents. So that we get there thinking it's going to be $2-$3 per person. It ends up being $8 per person. And the kids are 7 and 5. And they have to wear these yellow wrist bands that means that you as the adult can't just merely watch them. But you have to be there at ARMS REACH. even in the 1 foot deep splash zone. Weren't allowed to go on the rockwall because they didn't take a swim test. Even with me there and one has a life vest on. What are the lifeguards being paid for? To sit on their butts and blow their whistles at every little thing. Don't waste your afternoon or more time. It's not worth it. They have so many rules that it is not even fun at that point. Definitely will just keep going to the Epic, such a better place. Crappiest aquatic center I have EVER been too. read more

Nice place but the rules are just ridiculous, and suck all the fun out of the day. Strict dress code rules, if you're under 17, you have to pass a swim test to swim in the deep pool. Life jackets aren't allowed in the deep pool. There's a rock climbing wall in the water and only one person can climb at once, even though there are four full size panels. You just hear whistles all day over rules being broken that don't make any sense. I don't blame the lifeguards though, they're just enforcing rules they didn't write. And I'm sure they'd get chewed out for not doing so. Nevertheless, not coming back again. read more

Yes the lifeguards are kind of rude. But I imagine they get tired of babysitting everyone's kids while in the hotass sun. This facility is cheap, fun, and relatively clean. I don't know what the rest of you expect for about $4 a person. Come here if you want a cheap, fun experience with your kids. Don't come here if you take things too personal because chances are a lifeguard will say something to your kid if you aren't watching your kid. read more

Love this pool!! It's never too busy and they make parents stay in the water with their younger kids so there's not a lot of unsupervised children running around!! I love that every bad review on this place is because of rules being enforced which lets you know this facility stands out bc they don't allow the rif raff behavior! read more

My daughter and I went to this pool for the first time this past weekend and I was impressed with most of it. Great pool and fun things for the kids to do. Yes, it would be better if there was an adult side, but you are taking . The pool seemed clean and the restrooms on par for this type of park. The prices for food/drinks was really reasonable which helps a lot. Would definitely go back. read more

The rules are overwhelming besides being too many there is no fun. Oh especially with children they cant have a fun time neither the parents because they have to be together alll the time, its really annoying since they cant even be alone in any of the kids areas but there is still many"lifeguards around. They either dont wanna do their job are lazy about it but with all these rules they should not even be needed. There just blowing their whistle around like if they own the place they're the workers who don't wanna do their actual job maybe laziness. Also the foods are too expensive and totally not worth it but still charge 5 dollars for any cooler. Even American white people complain about how expensive it is and their the rich ones :) read more

This place is horrible and deserves no stars. We love the lively aquatic center and will waste no more of our time with rude and mouthy teenagers at this location. They need to get over themselves. Their mothers would probably be ashamed to see how they are acting. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Dealing with this place has been the most frustrating thing on our family vacation. I thought it would be a cheap fun-filled evening for us. We attempted to come Tuesday evening. Right as our Uber pulled off, someone came out to notify us that the pool was shut down for maintenance. There was no warning on the website, or on a telephone message. We did call ahead. We came back the next evening. I looked up the cost several times. Partly my mistake, however they are charging non-resident fees of eight dollars. Five dollars more than the regular resident fee. So far, we've racked up $37 in Uber fees going back and forth from this place. I'm heading back now for more cash as I only could scrape up enough for my kids. I sent them in, called yet another Uber to take myself back for more money. By the time I get back to the pool, I will have paid $24 for my kids to swim for two hour, and myself one hour. Not the budget friendly, fun-filled evening we had planned. On top of everything else, the teenage staff member was completely rude. Teach some customer service skills. DO NOT THROW YOUR MONEY AWAY AT THIS PLACE. THEY DO NOT DESERVE IT. Two thumbs down for West Irving Aquatic Center. Would NEVER recommend to anyone visiting the area!!! read more

this place could be better if they had a kid free zone for adults and less lifeguard bs. whistles constantly for whatever rule is being broken. also the swimwear dress code forced me to purchase a swimsuit as you cannot wear gym shorts for some stupid reason. also the lockers were broken so we had to drag around our backpack and keep an eye on it since wallets and cell phones were in it. the water slides were fun and the pools ok. they really need to have an over 18 area and pool. and i also disliked that every hour there was a 15 minute period where everyone had to get out of the water. wtf? read more

My kids like coming here. In my opinion it could be bigger... I prefer the Carrollton waterpark simply because it's so much bigger!
