Sigh . . . The City of Dallas is talking about closing down community pools are prides themselves about this flagship water park. However the cost keeps going up, and the amenities keep going down. Now they charge $20 no matter the size of the cooler. You can't bring in your own float devices but at the same time, there's never enough tubes for the lazy river. This last visit, I want to say there were 10 and the life guard mentioned people taking them out the water to their tables & chairs. There were also lots of tubes deflated. The structure needs to be updated and walls are crumbling and falling apart. Seriously, this place needs a make over especially if we are closing the affordable community pools and pushing folks to these places. read more

I do not understand all of the negative reviews for this place! There are very few water parks of this caliber within the city of Dallas that are as affordable as Bahama Beach. Admittedly, the ticket buying process is a bit cumbersome on site. And parking is ridiculously inadequate. BUT, once you actually get inside, it's so much fun. I'm always able to snag a seat in an unreserved area to chill in the shade. And they also have lockers for your stuff for a small free. Some of the grown-ups swim attire on a recent visit was a little....questionable but nothing you wouldn't see at the beach on vacation. The best part? Dallas residents get discounted entry (as we should!). Highly recommend for keeping the kids busy over the summer (come early!) read more

Fun place for children, but most of the time it's extremely crowded! Make sure to reserve yourself a cabana so you'll have a place to rest.

This is a very pricey place to take your children out to for enjoyment. $60 per person. I had a party of 4 teenage girls they enjoyed the two hours of fun there so money well spent. My upset is I had to pay full price too, I didn't swim or engage in anything, just to sit and watch my grandchildren and their friends have fun and look out for their safety. I've been bringing my grandkids here for a very long time. The hours are perfect. We all love the new waterslide & swimming area. We always pack our coolers and stay all day. And the concessions are a great price. We happened to go on a day when it was not crowded. We always have a great time. read more

Drove an hour to come to this place. Went on a Sunday and arrived at 12:15. There was already a line starting. The line was taking a long time. I tried to get tickets online while in line and it wasn't going through. My friend tried also and wouldn't go through. 45 min later and almost to the front they tell us the card system is down and it's either cash or to buy online. I told the lady their online seems to be down as well. I heard a few other people having the same issue. No ATM. I had some cash so was able to get in. Couldn't buy water or food in there. I had some water but needed more for myself and my son. The water in the water fountain was so hot and not drinkable. The minimum they should have done is offered water to people in this heat. Kids standing out there in the heat and if you didn't have cash you couldn't get water. It should be illegal to refuse water to anyone in the heat considering this was their problem with the card system being down. So if you decide to visit bring cash and a cooler of water because they won't care if you're out in the heat.. you won't get a $2 bottle of water to save your life. Other than the entry issue the park itself is ok for a water park. My son had fun in the kid area. I had planned on getting a cabana for shade but couldn't do that due to their card system issues. Was able to find some seats. Food is overpriced for what you get and a lot of the items on their menu weren't available. read more

This is a great Waterpark for the price! I took my six year old nephew here and he thoroughly enjoyed himself. Coconut Cove was a hit for the younger kiddos. It had a variety of kid-friendly slides and the adults could slide on them too! They have several lifeguards and monitors on site. It's a great location for us folk who live south of Dallas. Also, there are plenty locker rentals and they're reasonably priced at $5. I definitely will be returning! read more

Very disappointing. We got to the park and was they closed it 28 minutes later due to the weather. But it didn't rain and we were denied refunds or credits. A lot of families were upset. We should have been given something because the weather turned out nice for the rest of the day. read more

Went on a quick family vacay. This place was perfect due to smaller size and less people than sea world or fiesta Texas. Kids were able to enjoy lazy river and slides. Ate before we went and afterwards so didn't try the food. Had a small shop where you rent a locker and I picked up bottled water and sunglasses. Will definitely be back. Worried about recent review of bugs but that wasn't noted when we were there. I have a 6,7, and 11 year old. They all had fun. My 7 year old is autistic but she could enjoy the lazy river and coconut cove. My 6 year old was 47.5 inches so some workers let her do the 48" rides and some didn't. ‍ read more

Took a quick trip to this water park on a Tuesday. We were able to park close to the front and pay fairly quickly. Used the coupon to get a discount on the already great price. Food and snack prices were good too. The park was clean and had enough rides and play area to keep my three girls (ages 2, 10, and 17) entertained. I liked the small size of the park- everything was in close proximity. The lifeguards were very attentive. Weekdays seem best. This was great. Spacious and clean bathrooms and the entire Waterpark. My only complaint we were in a cabana the attendant escorted us to the cabana and disappeared fir our entire visit. My daughter called to no avail. We went and got our own refreshments. Meanwhile, we see folks in other cabanas getting service. Oh well, this will not stop us from coming back. We had an awesome day, the park is very well kept, the prices are affordable and you can bring your own cooler for $5 so that is a great option, there are lockers for $5, I loved that they are lifeguards everywhere so that everyone can be safe and making sure there is no running around, the only thing that was upsetting was the food court, they take a very long time to take your order and to make your food, it took them 30 min to get a personal pepperoni pizza when they told me it would be ready in 15 mins, on the other hand the cheeseburger was really good and fast, if you don't like waiting for your food just bring your own and you will have a very enjoyable day here!! read more

Our first time to the park. We got there a few minutes before it opened and were one of the first families in line. They are having a canned food drive, we brought cans, the ticket girls knew nothing about it. No worries, I explained it, she verified with someone and we got our discount. The gates opened promptly at 10:30, not a minute earlier. The staff was friendly and checked our cooler and bag then we preceded in. We found a table under the umbrellas near the kids area and started our adventure. The kids area is really neat! Our kids age 4 and 6 had a blast. The water was cold early in the morning so we hit the lazy river and then some slides before it got too busy. Everyone seemed to show up around 11:00. Even with all the people it still wasn't too crowded. The lifeguards, for the most part, did a good job keep there eyes on the water. The park got dirty quickly. On the ground and in the waters were all kinds of odds and ends of trash from snacks, toys and personal products. At no time did I ever see anyone clean any area. The water in the kids area seemed to "back up" at the drains and heated up very quickly which in my mind is where harmful bacteria comes from. As stated before, the snack bar takes forever and the quality of food is lacking. But we took a gamble and hit 50/50. The chips and cheese were stale, the fries were okay but one of the two burgers was way overcooked. The slides were fun but need remodeling soon. I would recommend coming when the school buses of kids are not there. Maybe call the park and find out if they have any scheduled that day. I would also recommend going Tuesday-Thursday morning. It is a fun little park that our kids loved since they didn't notice all the things I did. We paid $60 for tickets and food and stayed for 3.5 hours, I feel we got our moneys worth. read more

I took my nieces and nephews with my own little family and we all really enjoyed it! It's super clean, the lifeguards are on point and super SUPER observant. The hamburgers and hotdogs are cooked on a grill right in front of you and plentiful. The water rides were great and water clean and clear from debris. A great option for a day of fun. Mainly stayed in coconut cove and lazy river. All the lifeguards were alert and friendly. Coconut cove is a cute place for the kids to explore on their own. The water pressure was extremely hard and needs to be turned down. My kid was walking up the stairs with his hand over his head. Also with the amount of force that comes out I'm glad no one got hurt. The "food area" is just weird with the windows being covered. It would've been nice if someone was trying to remove some of the ants from the lazy river. This park is GREAT!! Comparable to HH but not as expensive. VERY reasonable prices for admission, snacks and locker rental. They DID NOT charge me for renting a life vest for our kids- they were FREE! The inner tubes were just floating around because they were also FREE! HH charges $4 and $6 respectively and you're kinda stuck with them bc you don't want to waste the money. They grill their burgers and hotdogs (Yum!) and the meal (with chips and drink) was still only $7! And I was full... The park is a little smaller, but they had a smaller crowd which I am glad to see ANYDAY! The smaller children are well accommodated. Yet another daddy favorite spot for daddy's day out with his friends and kids. Kids look forward to this one and its a nice little water park with friendly staff & lifeguards. Happy Kids + Happy Daddy = Happy Mommy. 4 stars only because once park was closed earlier than the date mentioned on website or groupon. It was a last min group buy on friday noon and it was written on the groupon as well as the site that it is their last weekend of the season! After we bought the groupon, some of us checked the site for the timings to plan our weekend. The next thing we knew they closed the park 2 days before the date mentioned on the groupon. It was an awkward moment for us when we recommended this place & 20 people bought this groupon and it was closed early! A very similar waterpark to hurricane harbor just smaller. Has everything you need in a waterpark including a variety of slides. If you want to beat the heat and save money, you should come here. It only cost me $15 to get in and with an id you can get a discount if you live in the city, and you also get a discount after 4pm. So you can be paying less than $10 to get in. This is a good place to hang out and just lay around on the lawn chairs . The place is not that big so you can sit in the middle and still see what going on with my kids . The restroom and locker is pretty decent . The only downfall is the food purchasing it will take you a while to line up coz who ever takes your money is also the one that's assemble your stuff that you brought . But overall is ok . We visited on a weekday. The waterpark was great - no lines, clean, lots to do for everyone. I rated it 4 out of 5 stars because of the women's restrooms. They could use some attention. We're from out of town and decided to visit a small waterpark for a an afternoon in a lazy river and this place is awful. The employees are all teenagers with horrible attitudes. The worst customer service you could imagine- there's clearly no training or common sense how to act with paying customers. When we first got to the park, about 30 minutes after opening, we went to the food stand for a slice of pizza. She told us the wait would be 30-40 minutes for a slice. Thinking this had something to do with the park just opening, we went ahead and went in the lazy river and waited. Before heading to the lazy river, we went to the gift shop guy for a locker. This man didn't look us in the face and say more than "ten dollars" to us. We then headed to the river. Once we got out, we went back for a slice of pizza and she said she had just given them away but that we could wait another 30 minutes. Trying to make the best of the situation, we opted for the cheeseburgers. We sat and waited while they were prepared then walked back over to the grill when he was putting the toppings. Without asking what we wanted or didn't want (or without saying a single word to us) the employee put the toppings on and handed us the burgers. We then proceeded to ask if they had ketchup, mustard, or mayonnaise when he (again silently) handed us the bottles from under the grill. The customer service was so poor we decided to finish our burgers and leave. We went back to return the keys and again the gift shop guy didn't look at my husband. He kept his head down and handed him his 5$ back because we hadn't been there long enough. Hands down, this was an uncomfortable and unwelcoming experience. Not a single employee greeted us or made us want to stay. We spent a total of an hour at this park and decided we would rather make the three hour drive back home rather than stay. Do not recommend this place to anyone- the only thing I recommend is training on customer service. read more
