I went to get a estimate for a recent accident I was in and awaiting the insurance check. I do not remember the ladies name who helped me, but she was an older adult in her 40-50's and had a office in the back right when you first walk in. I told her I had not planned on having extra time today and wasn't expecting to stop by, so I did not have a copy of my estimate. Not realizing the importance of the estimate, I told her I would go home (10 minutes away) and come back with the estimate. She said no no no it is okay (while rolling her eyes, as if she did not want to) I will call and she had me sit there while she called and was on the phone for 25 minutes. It felt like forever and was really uncomfortable for me. After getting off the phone she was rude, cutting me off, rolling her eyes and I felt like overall she was judging me. I stressed again it was no issue for me to run home and get the estimate, but she kept saying no need she'd get it from my insurance. She did look at my car... For a second while scoffing the whole time. That isn't the worse part. She told me she would call me back when she got the estimate from the insurance. I called about a week later an appropriate amount of time to get a estimate and ended up having to leave a message. I heard nothing hours, days, and months go by. Over ONE MONTH later auto hassle body has a nerve to call me and leave a voicemail regarding my inquiry of repairing my vehicle. Needless to say I will NEVER go to this place based on the actions of their employees. I must say I can not have a opinion on their actually body work because it never got that far.

When the Mrs' car was involved in a fender bender in the LIRR parking lot, our insurance company…read moresaid we could go anywhere... but recommended Scotsman's. It was great advice. From the first meeting, through returning our car in perfect shape - Scotsman's kept us in the loop by phone and text message. When we realized our parking sticker was on the bumper that was to be replaced - and learned the Town Of Oyster Bay would charge us $200 to replace it if we couldn't bring the old one in (silly law) - we called and asked Scotsman's to do what they could to save it. They steamed it off, and returned it when we picked up the car. The repairs were flawless, and the car was washed and detailed. It hasn't looked this good since the day we drove it home from Audi. I'm hoping we never need an auto body repair shop again - but if we do - we'll come here.
