I will NOT TAKE AWAY from this beautiful library just OPENING the other day! I LOVE the idea of a fresh NEW library! I seen their opening AD on Instagram while I was on a trip in CA and so I made it my goal to come by and work here TODAY! I looked up the hours on google and noticed their google page was incomplete so I ADDED some info! As I was pulling into the parking lot today, I thought to take a PICTURE of the front of the library for YELP and my parents, to show them I AM HERE, but shortly after, a ANRGY driver behind me, honked and was tailgating me as I pulled in to park, he would NOT get off my bumper, and so I got out my CAR to let him know I will be backing into my parking space without him. He kept BARKING at me, saying some NON-SENSE, no common sense, he had no control over my car, anyways, I was able to walk right into the library and tell... BTW, this library looks so PRETTY outside, very clean and I love all the architectural design they did! I walked in, went straight to the front desk, which was nice, to ask for security, security was called and in 1 min, DUSTIN came down to help me, he asked me what happened, who was it, and also walked me kindly to the computer area upstairs, which I wouldn't had found without his help! He said he will escort me outside when I am done if needed. He made me feel calm and safe again. That's what SECURITY is for. Vegas has some CRAZY entitled people with no life, while VEGAS has some well mannered people with a life. Anywho, THANK GOD! I am now sitting down at a computer doing some work and I will say NICE COMPUTERS, QUITE COMPUTER AREA, VERY CLEAN AND BRAND NEW, you get an hour on the computers, but you can extend ur time, and I cant wait to get up after my work is done and explore. I seen they offer a PODCAST room and I will be TAKING FULL ADVANTAGE OF THAT! I love that the city has funding for educational projects like this! Being an ALUMNI, I can appreciate this! Thank you!

West Las Vegas Library is the most awe-inspiring library I have ever entered! My jaw dropped, and I don't think my mouth closed until I exited the library! They have an art gallery room featuring pioneering African American legends, meeting and private study rooms, and a children's computer room downstairs, while the adult computer room is on the second floor. I took the elevator to the second floor to print a concert ticket, and the helpful employee showed me how to print my ticket and pay with my debit card. The other pleasant staff members bid me farewell when I left the adult computer room. I asked a pleasant staff member if someone could show me around the multimedia room, and a Caucasian man (I wish I had his name) gave me a tour. Inside, they have a room for light audio and video editing, a complete recording studio, a green-screen room for creating videos with any background one desires, and a podcast room! A patron must sign up online for an hour-long training session to use the designated rooms and can book a 4-hour session (I think it was twice per month, but I'm not certain on the maximum booking times), and it's all free! I am a music lover and author currently penning my highly anticipated autobiography, and I can see myself using the podcast room, green screen room, and music studio for future endeavors and creative ideas! West Las Vegas Library is an incredible, state-of-the-art facility, and their multimedia room blew me away! The only things the West Library is missing are a motel, a laundry facility, a movie theatre, and an on-site restaurant, and those could be coming at the rate they are going (just kidding). Every staff member I spoke to was super pleasant and helpful. The library just opened on December 8, 2025, so it's spotless! I highly recommend the West Las Vegas Library!

I am so happy they opened up this library. It has such great history linked in their indoor museum on prominent African American figures. There is two stories with conference rooms, computer labs, and benches to sit and courtyard in the middle of the library. Such a cool artsy museum! Checkout process is super easy using computers to check the books. Excited to come back in the near future.

We accidentally drove right past the library parking lot and ended up parking next to the arts center. There was loud construction outside, but inaudible from the inside. One of the vending machines was out of order. There were plant cuttings, but I am unsure if they are available to the public. The Bookstore is in 2 sections - only one is clearly marked and it's just a small table. The restroom hallway was not clearly marked. The staff was fabulous! They were very helpful and kind! The gallery was magnificent!

This library is amazingly beautiful and huge!! My kids were so amazed with all that could be done here. They had activity prints for the kids, coloring sheets, a music room, an area for play that included toys, blocks and puzzles. My boys were able to get on the computer without having a library card which I loved since I hadn't yet received my new ID in the mail. Every staff member I came in contact with was genuinely nice and helpful. I loved the chess and puzzle tables, there were plenty of rooms marked for meetings based on age(teen room) and activity. Bathrooms were well kept and clean, there's rentable spaces. Loved everything about this place the gallery was a must see. I love what they did here.

Wow, I haven't been to a library in years, this library has to be the best I've ever been to! the 2 story building was so calming and peaceful. Went on a Monday afternoon and was expecting a lot of kids, but surprising it wasn't and the ones there were well behaved. There's a 3d printer you can use for 4 hours at a time for free, a dj set up with headphones, rows and rows of beautful books, great views. The staff was very friendly and helped me find a book. The outside had some nice nooks to curl up and read a book or play checkers! A+++

It's a mission of mine to visit all libraries in the valley and this one stands out of the few I've been to. The staff alone makes this place special. Shout out to Keenan for showing me around and explaining everything in-depth and answering all my questions. China has more energy than the sun and was so kind to show me the performing arts center. Veronica was patient enough to help me check out books since I forgot my library card and Lisa even went as far to show me how I can apply to work at the branch. Love the flow of operations and grateful places like this exist for our community.

Cow from the project several years ago is in the lobby.

This is a review for the West Las Vegas Library Theatre. The theatre is similar to those at several libraries in Clark County. It is a proscenium stage with seating for approximately 200. I have been to the theatre several times because this is the home for the Las Vegas Contemporary Dance Theatre which generally has two shows per year--a spring and fall show. The lobby for the theatre is somewhat small, but it's sufficient for the size of the theatre.

Nice toddler area and the Liberians are friendly a smaller one as the biggest one I have been to has been on flamingo Rd

Just be sure to book your appointment online! The appointment slots open I think exactly one week in advevery Monday (I'm not 100% sure on that though, and the time slot optionsare very limited and fill up quickly. If you can snag an appointment, it's one of the easiest and smoothest places to get passports done, especially with kids. Most recently, we used one of the multipurpose rooms here for a homeschool class event, hosted by an employee from the Las Vegas Natural History Museum for an ocean life class. I really love that the museum does that and we've always had great experiences with classes like this brought to us. Overall, this is a fantastic library for so many reasons, not just for checking out books, but also for community events, meeting spaces, and passport services. We've had nothing but great experiences here!

Whenever I've had a question at the front desk or needed help checking something out, I've never had to wait long. One of the best things about this location is the self-checkout system. It's super easy to use ... you don't even have to scan each book, DVD, or video game individually. Just place everything on the scanner and it checks everything out at once. They also have a great selection of PS5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch games, which is something a lot of people probably don't realize libraries offer. The DVD selection is solid too. It gives me a little nostalgia of walking through Blockbuster back in the day. Instead of paying for streaming services all the time, I'd definitely recommend supporting your local library. I usually reserve my books, movies, or games online, and they notify me when they're ready. I just stop by, pick them up, and check out. The whole process is really smooth. One time they even called me quickly to let me know I accidentally returned my own video game with the library items, which I really appreciated. Renewing items online is also super easy. As long as nobody else has requested the item, they usually let you renew it without any issues. I personally don't stay long enough to study or hang around, so I can't really speak on the noise level like some reviews mention and rude employee interactions. For what I use it for ... quick pickups and returns, it has been perfect. The parking lot is spacious, and they even have 3D printers available for public use, which is pretty cool. You can also renew passports here, so the library really offers a lot more services than people realize. I've been to multiple libraries in the valley, including the Sahara location, and this library has consistently been one of the easiest and nicest ones I've been to.

SUMMER LIBRARY TIME IS HERE!…read more I like to go to the library sometimes it's nice to just chill inside there and check out what's new. The Summerlin library is always a great spot for that along with any of the libraries in town. Library cards are free where you can check out books, videos, and other items. It's free to use the computers, and nothing too pricey to use printers, copiers and fax machines. Plus, there are classes and workshops. You can check out the local library schedule online before you head out. I like that there is an amphitheater inside off to the side separate from the library area that hosts, different events and cultural shows throughout the year. These are all for nominal fees/admission. There is however, sometimes a downfall to coming to the library, especially in the summer because our friends who live on the street, also like to visit or camp in here to stay cool. Although the library welcomes everyone, this limits, what you can enjoy. Sometimes this can make the shared space feel uncomfortable because of drifting body odor and or unhealthy germs coming in and out. There's etiquette to going to public place of which I would think would be enforced here-- basically if you're not feeling well and or you are not in best health don't go. That should basically cover it to prevent viruses and unsanitary germs from surfacing. There was one incident where there was a safety issue as well where people go around looking for others purses or bags. So --I personally highly recommend holding onto your stuff. Honestly, I like this library but hesitate every time I go in because of this factor. There is a musty odor that you get right from your first step inside the entrance. I always like to think it's from the older books in there. But again it is really an older building as well and has a lot going on inside of it. The library staff is very nice and helpful if you need any help with anything, as well. If you have children, there's a wonderful children's wing. There are some really great programs there for reading and entertainment for early childhood to younger youth:) This library is located off of Inner Circle Drive in The Hills Community of Summerlin. A really nice older area of town... Across from the Albertsons shopping plaza, The Trails and there's a lot of different medical buildings in the area as well.

When I called and spoke with Ebony she informed me that because I got my original library card during the pandemic they made an exception during that time to use just phone numbers. She informed me to come in and she would help me with my car AND my Libby account. I asked if it took long due to it being an hour before closing and not wanting to be an inconvenience and she assured me that it would be a quick process and she does not mind whatsoever. So I BOOKED IT. When I walked in I was amazed at how nice it was inside and went to the customer service desk and spoke with Ebony and she was so so so helpful and kind. She was not joking about it being a quick process. She helped me get a new library card since I've moved to the other side of town and needed a new library anyways! Took about 5 minutes total including her helping me with my Libby! So long story short, Ebony is the BEST, if you ever need anything look for her!

My company sponsors it, so I brought thank you gifts for donors. The Red Cross staff is kind and gracious. I didn't take any photos inside the blood drive for privacy reasons, but it was full of exceptional members of our community set on saving lives. Whenever I visit Centennial Hills Library I always check out the book store, and it never disappoints. I usually get children's books to donate to the Obodo library. This time the books were for me though. I have that Kamala Harris book "The Truths We Hold" in my Amazon cart right now. That's so fun. It would have cost me a lot more than the $1 I paid here. Plus, proceeds go back to the library, so win! As I walked around snapping pictures, the staff wanted me to tell you some things. The gentleman monitoring the resource room invites everyone to come in. He's ready with computers, homework help, and more. The ladies at the desk by the hydroponics said this is actually an adult ed class and you will create hydroponics to take home. They said to come out and take part. The cashier at the entrance to the media section offered that there are so many great titles to choose from in the book store. I couldn't agree more. She added that it's a good idea to stop by first when you're think of shopping for books. In all it was a lovely visit and a beautiful day at the blood drive.
